The Ghost's Tower stands tall in the razed continent of Tero.
Having just escaped the collapsing library and the awakening of a Titan, Roy and the others are shaken, but war waits for no one, even in the midst of a disaster.
Finding themselves secluded in the mountains and unable to reach home, Hermit decides to take a calculated risk. To travel over land and head for the continent of Tero, where he hopes to find the legendary Ghost, a figure from Buryoku's distant past.
Travel is treacherous and Roy soon finds himself separated from the main group, forced down into Buryoku's underworld.
In the meantime, the Demons conspire to kill the allied mortal races' greatest assets: the Scions. With the raging storms of the second Great Disaster jamming communications and blocking access to travel through the chaos, the mortal races are more vulnerable than ever. Their only hope may very well lie with Roy and his team.
I must admit that I was more than a little annoyed about a certain character death in the previous book but I'm still really enjoying watching our hero and his friends grow. These books have been well written and the story line has been very interesting. Can't wait to read the next one!
Great way to continue the story for such a amazing series. Aaron is definitely my favorite author and this is my second favorite series he’s written after rise to omniscience.
This series has quickly become one of my favourite books on kindle. The power progressions are written masterfully, while keeping the MC just OP enough to make the story interesting.
It is so rare that the impetus continues at such an intense level this far into a saga - but it resoundingly has. I am blown away by Buryoku and so looking forward to the finale! And also sad that then it will be over.
Roy’s greatest enemy is himself and his self image
As they travel through Ghost’s tower, they are challenged in many different ways. Leading to less combat focused challenges but more character, personal strength, willpower, goodness, selfishness, laziness, etc. Ghost’s tower is a spiritual challenge tower that only the truly worthy will survive and thrive in. The real benefit can only be guessed at until they leave, however their true hope and goal is to convince Ghost to leave the tower and help them against the demons. Roy will try but Ghost is a Titan who has hidden for ages in their tower and has little care for the affairs of mortals.
I’ve enjoyed this series, but it’s getting a bit repetitive. This book had one journey too many and most of it was underwhelming. Not terrible just not as interesting as it could have been. I think it’s time for the author to wrap up the series.
The author has done it again!! The book was the perfect continuation of the story so far!! It was fun to see the development of characters and the magic system
Continues the story and progression. With great battles that are truly epic but not unending in page presence. I’m curious when yes gonna go in his black belt torii
Really enjoying this series, only problem is the next book isn't done yet. Burned through all 11 books because I couldn't put them down. Truly awesome!!!
I liked how this book continues the pace of the last few with a bit more on progression from the side characters. Some of the battles are epic and I can't wait to see what happens next.
