So, this is the continuation of the big battle from the previous book, and it's pretty awesome. Something this series lacks is a good ongoing villain. Fran pretty much just destroys all her villains, so they end up feeling like a bad guy of the week, rather than a true antagonist. Here, I thought the author was going to rectify that. We get a hugely powerful villain with deep and meaningful ties to Fran, and the curse that the gods placed upon her entire race. Surely this villain will last a few books, right. Aaaaaand, oh. She's dead. Well. There goes that. This book was still pretty good. It has a great villain, there's a lot of sacrifice needed to win, and it's really fun and epic. I only wish the villain had lasted more than one book.

Fran and Teacher's fight with the Evil One's servants continues. It soon becomes clear more is going on then meets the eye, and resolving the issue is going to demand some sacrifices.
The volume is somewhat unlike the earlier parts. It is very much the resolution of events that started in Volume 8 with none of the travel journal aspects. Instead we get two main fights connected with a lot of exposition on various characters, god swords, gods and what really went on 500 years ago at the Beast Kingdom's capitol. Some good world building, and who knows, maybe some character growth as well (beyond gaining stats). There is a lot of fighting going on, about 1/3rd of the book, and I do miss the travel aspects somewhat.
Personally I enjoyed the volume, especially the end which was not typical for the series nor for most power fantasies. Still, I can see how people feel differently about it, because it does differ from earlier volumes.

A conclusão de uma grande briga!
Esse volume foi bem agitado, com a invasão avançando e a Fran em uma briga, rendeu tanto quando gostaria e, nossos heróis não saíram ilesos da briga, só espero que tenha consequências maiores.

This book was almost entirely battles, and it was good for it!! The author tries to use some different PoV for the first time in the series, and it was nice to get some news from other places on that battlefield.

Tension rises
Cadence of the series is really picked up with the sword not mentioning how cute friend is every second and building some good lore into the story can't wait for the next one

A very exciting part to the series!
There were so many typos! This is a great volume though, filled together with suspense, even greater action, and the culmination of a few plot lines. Definitely some major character advancement!

An 8hr audio book. as far as tournament books go this was okay. overall fun but predictable.

Reee buenooooo pero... jaaa siempre hay un pero :v
Re bueno el final de la batalla, punto negativo a como otros personajes quedan como olvidados y llegado cierto punto, les quitan la pausa y se vuelven a mover.
No se manejo nada bien la parte en que la villana revela sus planes porque queda como una tonta sobre-actuando y eso le quita gracia. Si es villana, es villana y ya, si la energía maléfica es mala, lo es y ya. No tiene sentido que todos se vuelvan locos menos 1 que vio una luz y controlo su pensamiento. No es lógico.
Cuando el Maestro se pone loquito es genial, y de ahi en adelante todo joya.
En general el libro es bueno, tiene sus contras pero lo puedo recomendar sin dudas. Lo califico como lo hice por una razon, hay partes que son realmente memorables y destacables.
