As Alpha, Asher has been trying to keep his small pack safe and well, while being a firm non-believer when it came to the idea of fated mates, so he definitely never expected to find his. Even if he had, he could never have been prepared for her, or how it would feel to know she might never be his.

In hiding, traumatised by her past, and desperate to stay unnoticed, Mina has done a pretty good job of making herself invisible, or so she thought. The unexpected attentions of a man were the last thing she wanted. Terrified of all men, and suffering from nightmares, and anxiety disorders, and also being human – how could she possibly be a suitable mate for a wolf shifter, and an Alpha, at that?

Can Asher break through Mina’s anxieties, and her strict ‘no touching’ rule, and find a way to make her his? And even if he can, can he do it in time to save her from what’s coming for her?

This book is part 1 in a completed trilogy, with books 2 and 3 available now! Please note this is PNR with dark themes, and may contain triggering content. This is not omegaverse, and there is no knotting.

Perfect start to this Series!

I'm a sucker for a shifter romance, especially ones with a complex fated mates storyline. As Alpha, Asher's focus is on rebuilding and strengthening his pack, a challenge made even harder by the constant threats from other packs. The last thing he needs is the distraction of a human mate, let alone one who fears him…yet from the moment he sees Mina, he can't fight the pull towards her no matter how hard he tries.

Mina may not know shifters exist, but that's far from the biggest obstacle between her and Asher. Traumatized by an experience in her past, she struggles to accept even the most innocent of touches and my heart broke to read her living a life dominated by fear. Yet despite that fear, she still tries to live the life that was almost taken from her. But scars like that run deeper than the surface of the skin and living that life is far from easy. But Asher is truly the perfect person and mate to show her that living a life like that is not only possible, it's standing right in front of her.

Asher is so protective and patient with Mia. He’s so understanding yet knows when to push, giving Mia a safe place to both explore her boundaries and find the love (and pleasure) that she needs and deserves. Their story definitely has some bumps in the road and a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming and I absolutely loved it.

I adore Mia Fury but I have to admit whilst I like reading PNR it’s not my usual go-to. Having said that I should have known that reading any book of Mia’s would make me a convert, and an addicted one at that!!
This story of Asher and Mina totally blew me away. It was so completely addictive. I simply could not put it down. My only complaint was that it ended. I really wanted it to go on and on, wrapping me in its warmth and mesmerising beauty. These characters didn’t wait for the door to my heart to open, they crashed through and took command of my heart and emotions. Mia Fury’s talent knows no bounds. Her wonderful imagination and skill are never ending.
Asher…dear lord, could this man have been any more perfect! He’s fierce yet gentle. Commanding yet giving. I loved his instant bond with Mina. His overpowering need for her, yet he tempered it, to his own physical detriment, in order to care and tend to the woman he loved. His ability to accept her past and the lasting consequences of her fear and pain was awe inspiring. His gentleness simply took my breath away.
I loved the bond he had with Jase and Derek. They had a brother bond, despite the hierarchy, that couldn’t be broken.
I loved his bruskness with others, yet his pure softness with Mina.
I love his inner conversations with himself. They made me laugh and adore him all the more.
Mina…what a strong beautiful soul. She’s been subjected to something that should have broken her, but whether she realised it or not the fact that she could simply get up and function at all was a testament to her strength of character.
Her anxiety and fear were palpable. I truly felt I was there with her every step of the way. Anxiety is something that, as a sufferer, not many people like to talk about because of their lack of knowledge or understanding, but, as always, Mia Fury handles the topic with care, love, understand and so much respect.
Watching this beautiful woman fight to find her strength was so awe inspiring and heart warming. It gave me the feeling of not being alone with my anxiety and that someone could truly understand my pain and fear.
It was beautiful to see her flourish and blossom. Watching Asher and Mina come together, their love and acceptance of each other so heartfelt.

The depth of the feelings and emotions in this story jumped from the pages. I was happily drawn into a mesmerising story that made me feel less alone. I walked beside these characters and became their friend, their family.
The heat and passion was strong enough to light up the darkest of tunnels. To have that rare bond with someone is what we all subconsciously wish for. I was just glad I had a front seat to watch it.
This is definitely a book I will be buying in ebook format and paperback.
Absolutely outstanding read.
Couldn’t possible recommend highly enough.

Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

The Wolves of Wiltshire Pack kicks off with Asher, the story of a newly minted Alpha, fumbling his way through life.

Fated mates exist, but for sure they're not for Asher. Or so he thinks, right up until he stumbles on HIS.

Gotta say, I wanted to kick some shifter bottom right there at the start. Asher, torn between what his wolf tells him its true and deep rooted beliefs of owning your will and your fate, makes one mistake after another as he fights against the mate bond.

But no one escapes their fate. Asher is NO exception.

And so the fast-paced journey of healing starts. I loved seeing Asher grow into the man and Alpha he will eventually be. I loved his patience, his stumbling as his Alpha nature gets the better of him sometimes. Asher's limits are put to test time and time and again in a brilliant story of hurt/comfort.

Can't wait to learn more about pack life and the world Mia has built, and to read Derek and Jesse's stories.

While the books are standalones, Asher's ends on an intriguing note so I'm VERY curious on how that particular revelation is treated in the next books.

Wiltshire Pack, here I come.

Quotes that stood with me:

"I wanted to know that pleasure existed; that s3x wasn't just about pain, and degradation, and hatred."

"You prefer the other?"
"I prefer whichever side puts me between you and anyone else, yeah."

"I wished she could be able to do that. In that one moment, I wished for her to be different, and I hated myself for it."

This is such an incredible book to start off this series.

Asher is a new Alpha who doesn’t believe in fated mates until he meets his. Problem is she’s a human, one who is terrified of men due to a heartbreaking past.

Asher is just simply amazing, I adore everything about him. He had me feeling all the emotions. His patience and understanding when it came to Mina was everything.
I loved that we got his POV and so many of his inner thoughts.

The way Mina’s trauma was explored was so incredibly written.
I loved watching her character grow and see her finding more strength.
She’s the perfect mate to Asher even if she feels she can’t be.

I enjoyed seeing Asher’s bond with his pack grow too, especially Derek and Jase. Then with Mina being included in those moments too.

The world building was done really well. Sometimes PNR books can be over complicated with lots of complex characters and species, but this wasn’t the case here. It was perfect and I couldn’t read it fast enough.

This book kept me hooked all the way though and that ending.. I did not see it coming.
Can’t wait to see what happens in the next books. I already know I’m going to love them!

Heart wrenching & beautifully written!

Wowwww! I don’t even know where to start! I have read so many wolf shifter books and this one has my heart completely!
Alpha wolf, Asher, has his work cut out for him when he finally scents his mate Mina.
Mina had been through so much just a year before and was scared of all men.
She had sworn off them and couldn’t bare to be touched by anyone.
Asher wasn’t giving up on her though and through patience, tenderness & a lot of love, he breaks down her defenses in the sweetest ways and they come out stronger together. Including getting revenge on her ab*sers.
There was lots of pining, frustration & build up between the two and once they come together to complete their bond, it was so worth the wait.
I was laughing, crying & feeling all the emotions of the characters throughout and I don’t want to spoil the end but I totally wasn’t expecting it!
They had other trials to worry about too and I can’t wait to see where it all goes.
This story was beautiful and I can’t wait to read the other two in the series.

This is my first shifter romance book and I absolutely loved it. I was hooked from the first page and couldnt put it down. The story took me on rollercoaster ride of emotions.

What can I say about Asher - he is a hot, sexy and protective alpha wolf who supports and helps his fated mate Mia on her journey to recovery.

The author did a brlliant job in potraying Mia's struggle with debilitating, severe anxiety attacks and fight to reclaim her power, so she can become the powerful queen she was meant to be.

If you like second chance, slow burn and fated mates romance with lots of feels, twists and turns, steam and spice then get your paws 🐾 on this amazing book now.

Highly recommended 🖤

Mia Fury’s books never fail to satisfy my desire to read about men who are crazy protective of their women, and love them like they’re the only female on the planet.
Asher is the alpha of his pack. A sexy, hairy man who doesn’t believe in fated mates, until he meets the one, who brings him to his knees.
Mina is so damaged that she can’t even let people touch her. A violent past keeps her from letting anyone in. Until she meets Asher.
Watching the relationship progress between these two was a sweet, slow burn. Mina’s terror broke my heart, while Asher’s patience warmed it. If you like the fated mates trope, don’t miss out on this one! Looking forward to Derek’s story in book 2.

Wow 🤩

This Author really knows how to throw it all in there… the emotionally, physically wounded FMC, the MMC Alpha hero. Just the right amount of Spicy 🌶️, sassiness, and laugh out loud comments. Not to mention the story line was great. I live for a HEA I don’t have to chase through multiple books. This one gave me just that, but there is a bit of mystery at the ending that I’m anxious to see, hopefully, come out in the next of the series with another member of the pack. I would 10/10, definitely recommend!!!

Shifter romance at its best!

Have you ever finished a book, then just sat there and smiled? That was me after reading Asher. I’ve been on a wolf-shifter kick lately, binge reading a lot of them. I have to say, this one delivered everything I was craving! Fated mates, that delicious protect her at all costs, only has eyes for her hero, tons of heat, and a twist. Add to the mix some amazing characters and an intriguing plot, and I one-clicked the other two books in the series as soon as I finished this one. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t put this book down! An amazing start to The Wiltshire Pack Trilogy.

Asher and Mina pull at the heart strings. A dominant, protective Alpha male, and a traumatized, innocent female. Wolves, witches, danger, and fated mates. Who could ask for more!

Damn, Asher is just perfect.

That mate bond pull is driving him wild, and is pushing him to do all the natural things you’d do with your mate, but she’s a traumatised human who can’t stand to be touched. Somehow he restrains himself, although he does slip up sometimes by accident.

I loved how gentle and slowly he moves to create a safe environment for her to be in, yet slowly pushes her out of her comfort zone without overwhelming her. And even when he does overwhelm her, he is right there to bring her back to the present.

Mina’s story was so sad, and I was so angry that the people who hurt her only got 6 months for rape and attempted murder. That didn’t sit right with me, surely even with the messed up justice systems in the world, they’d have got more than 6 months each? I found that incredibly unrealistic.

Also I found her sudden change in one scene from only allowing oral/fingers to full blown sex and a mating bite odd. Even her change in herself only happened in less than a weeks time. I guess it makes sense if Asher is giving her more strength as the bond grows but I found it odd that a sexual assault survivor would change so rapidly, even upto the morning of their mating being complete she was still skittish then suddenly she wasn’t. Totally unrealistic. I guess it doesn’t have to be realistic as it’s a fantasy story but considering she’s portrayed as a human, surely she should have human responses to things?

I don’t think I’m investing enough to read D or Jase story. Yes D’s little tidbit into his past is interesting but I don’t know if I want a whole book about it. Maybe this book just didn’t have enough spice for me, I don’t really know.

The author has a weird way of using italics, where they just randomly italicize an entire sentence of dialogue, like for emphasis or something? It was really distracting. The book is, other than that, perfectly serviceable. FMC is a SA survivor who does not want to have anything to do with men ever again; MMC is a wolf shifter alpha. They’re fated mates, and they have to figure out how to bond within a certain time limit, which I thought was a bit unnecessary and cheapened the point of the FMC having a choice in the matter. The majority of the book goes like this:

MMC: Can I do X!

FMC: GULP. *nods*

MMC: Use your words.

FMC: Yes. Sorry.

MMC: Don’t be sorry. Rape is wrong. Grr. Gonna kill those guys soon.

Reading for my Monster Romance project. I'm going with this just being Ok. Plus points for being very easy to read, and the story line came together without a lot of plot holes or problems.
In this case, I felt like the timeline moved much too fast and unrealistically, but it is after all a book about personlike creatures who shift into wolves, witches, and so why I would expect a human like timeline- I am unsure.
So if you like PNR, this is likely a book you'll enjoy. I didn't love it, but, I also didn't not love it.

The ability for this book to hold so many contradictions must be studied. How is it both feminist and anti-feminist? How do they preach consent and yet violate it every chapter? Mina was supposed to represent victimhood and gathering strength yet the entire plot centered around victim blaming. Amazing. /s

I loved this. Loved the differences between usual shifter stories and this one. I thoroughly loved how soft the Alpha was and how the FMC wasn't just automatically strong but she drew confidence from her mate. I can't wait to read about Derek!

Loved the dynamic, and Asher was so sweet, thoughtful, and caring. Even when he thought he wasn't. Really nice shifter read.
