You might remember Emily from the last book of the series, Shifter's Mate, she is Malia's sister and a powerful witch. She was not at all happy that her sister was hooking up with a wolf shifter which meant Malia was exiled from the coven. Emily was now left to run her family's apothecary business, along with her commitments to the council of her coven.
It seems that a long time ago her coven banished an entire wolf pack to the Underworld and some of the pack and their offspring have come back to Earth as Demon Wolves with powers that make them even worse than they were before. They are all determined to get revenge against the coven that banished them. Daemon is one of the offspring and he retrieves a powerful talisman that turns a witch's power back on them, making them easy to defeat. He captures Emily and the alpha locks her up in a room that is warded to keep her powers from working. Daemon is ordered to guard her and convince her to help force the witches to agree to leave the pack alone. That isn't quite the way it works out....
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Daemon is a demon wolf; he was born into the pack after the New York Coven banished his ancestors to hell. Now, they found their way back to Earth and planned on taking a witch of the high council to help them become normal again. He has just come back from the underworld with a talisman that would help him against the witches. His alpha only gives Emily a few days to a week to make up her mind to help them, or he will kill her. When Emily and Daemon decide to get together, they made their plans for escape along with his sister and a friend, Miles. They will take refugee somewhere else if they can escape. Will they escape? Will they all live? Will anything else happen between the witch and demon wolf?

The lead male is trying to protect his young beautiful sister Amber, but while he is away the evil Alpha begins the abuse. It happens off page but if you are concerned about triggers. This is an enjoyable paranormal shifter/witch romance about one of the demon wolves who escaped from Hades through a portal and the witch he takes captive. The wolves in this pack are like no others, so kudos to the author for originality, our hero is looking for revenge against the New York coven but will he be successful? Will our heroine continue to fight the growing attraction she feels for her captor? The heat these two generate is palpable.
I found it hard to put it down until I'd finished it.

This is the story of Emily and Daemon. This exciting story pulled me in from the start. I enjoyed the twists as this story unfolds. I look forward to reading more of this series. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Can a wolf from hell find anything in common with a council witch that he kidnapped? Wouldn't think so but this exciting story gives that question due consideration.
