Visit Stuffie Hospital, a fluffy and steamy romance series, where toys get a new lease of life and queer Littles get their very own happy ever afters!
Ellie Rose is a queer author who writes fluffy and steamy Little romances. Her books are kinky and neurodiverse, and always have a Happy Ever After!
When she’s not writing, she can invariably be found reading in her princess tent, surrounded by a mountain of stuffies, or dancing in a silent disco for one in her living room.
3 stars. I liked it. The consent was really well written into the novella. But it was just too short to actually feel any kind of connection to the characters. I would’ve preferred some more..well ✨book✨. 😂
I enjoyed the heck out of the the setup, and the beginnings of the romance. The heroine's openness about her autism diagnosis was charming and healthy. I was surprised and disappointed by the third act conflict, which could be triggering for some people. It spoiled my enjoyment.
The reason I wanted to read this book is because it features an autistic Little. So often in books especially ones that feature BDSM there is a lack of representation especially for those who are neurodiverse and so I was excited to see how the writer broached the topic and I’d like to say it was well done. It was relatively light in terms of the dynamic but still broached things like stimming, safe wording when non verbal, sensory issues etc.
Plot: Lillie is a stuffie restorer at the Stuffie Hospital and she loves her job, even if she is still uncertain about being openly Little. But that all changes when Aiden comes to her work to interview the employees for a story. She's smitten by the kind reporter who is also a Daddy. In return, he definitely wants to spend more time with the enchanting little who can't stop wriggling in her seat.
Commentary: Cute story with a supporting cast of characters that don't take over the main story. Lillie is autistic and the story does a good job of showing the way that someone should respond vs. the way that people actually respond sometimes. It's a fairly calm story with only one misunderstanding and that was not on Aiden - I think Lillie was just too anxious and couldn't figure out how to process in an adult headspace.
This a a very short but sweet Little story. I love the idea of a Stuffie Hospital. Lillie loves her job and hides the fact that she is Little from her co-workers (she had a bad experience with a Daddy). Enter Ralphie and Aiden. Co-worder Ralphie, an unashamed Little, recognizes a fellow Little when he sees one and pulls Lillie into a safe gathering of Littles and caregivers. With Ralphie's protection and guidance and Aiden's caring and affection, Lillie blooms as a Little.
The story is a little rushed as it is pretty short but there is enough heart to keep your attention. Give it a shot and enjoy.
Wow, I’m in love with this author’s new series. The Stuffie Hospital takes care of stuffies and Lily is is nurse, doctor, surgeon rolled into one. Aiden is a reporter doing a story on the hospital and a Daddy Dom as well. He is more than willing to learn all about Lily’s special needs to become her Daddy Dom. I loved both these characters and the secondary characters we’ve met as well. More littles at the Stuffie Hospital please.
So enjoyed reading this book. I specially loved little Lilly I thought perhaps a few things in this story could have been longer or just expanded on a little. But overall a good story for Lilly and her daddy Dom. Looking forward to see what other stories this Author has written because I really do love these little stories
A Little’s Unicorn is the first installment in Ellie Rose’s A Stuffie’s Hospital romance series. This is an adorable and delightful age-play contemporary romance. Ms. Rose masterfully uses literary devices such as strong ad likeable primary and secondary characters; outstanding dialog, both conversational and internal monologue; dual POV; and vivid descriptive scenes. In so doing, Ms. Rose captivates her readers’ attention. I like how she uses the themes of hope and acceptance to weave in a supportive backdrop of a close community of friends. She expertly weaves her storyline along the themes of hope and acceptance. Doing so allows Ms. Belle to address the subject of autism and how it impacts a person’s life. Well done, Ms. Belle.
Okay, so this one gave me heckin' mixed feelings. Got this one for free via Stuff Your Kindle Day.
But... I did read this to 100%... kinda... I honestly skipped the steamy bits... I just... enjoyed the non sexual Little parts more. It was also just so... short...
For starters, the Little and Big scene isn't exactly mine, so I'm not 100% sure where I stand because of that. This does seem to separate the two, but sometimes... I'm just not really sure about it or how I feel.
But the characters were nice, and the premise is good... I just feel like I wanted a bit more development? Or a bit more time for things to develope? Like, she's been through some things, I feel like she needed more time to heal?
I'm not sure if I'm going to follow up with this series at all....
I couldn't say exactly how educational it is regarding the topic of DDLG, but at least for me, who was unaware of its existence before this book, it was.
The explanation and events leading up to the formalization of the relationship seemed very interesting to me (somewhat repetitive, but we'll justify it for now with the protagonist's neuroatipical)well explained and quite wholesome on the subject, but when you get to the sex scenes… it falls short.
Even so, I'm really interested in continuing the series and seeing the other dynamics, not just heterosexual ones.
Ellie Rose has written a Caregiver/Little romance that is both tender and smoldering. Lillie, being autistic, knows she deserves to be loved for exactly who she is, yet she gets easily spun up with worrying about being perceived as “too much.” Aiden quickly proves himself to be the perfect Daddy Dom for her, being both caring and stern.
The book is the perfect length for a decently long car or train ride on your way to the holidays. Readers will enjoy excellent autism rep along with a lovely story about a woman being accepted for exactly everything she is.
Lillie Cooper works at the Stuffie Hospital restoring well-loved stuffies back to their former glory which is a perfect job for a Little in hiding to do. Journalist Aiden Havers does an interview with the team for the local paper and he notices that Little lights up when talking about her patients but has no stuffie of her own.
This was a sweet little novella. I appreciated the story of how Lillie and Aiden became a couple but I missed how she received an actual stuffie from Aiden. I enjoyed the way that Ralph was so protective of her. Easy to read with just a little mature content.
Intriguing premise, but this novella was chock full of grammatical mistakes! Personal pet peeve, but authors have GOT to read their finished work or have it edited by a third party. Even free ebooks. Also, the ending was a little sudden. After having a ex that apparently traumatized the main character, (reader doesn't get all the info there), within 48 hours, our heroine decides that her new man will never leave her. But he, too, has an ex-sub!! I don't understand that jump/lack of logic. Will not be reading anything else by thos author.
Lillie Cooper is not only a Little she is also a restorer of stuffies. The only thing she really wants and needs is a Daddy to love her just the way she is, she’s worried that she’s too needy just because she has autism. However Aiden Havers a reporter that’s writing a piece on the stuffie hospital sees something in her and when he bumps into her again he realises that she’s exactly what he’s been looking for.
Lillie Cooper has the best job at the Stuffie Hospital, nurse, doctor and surgeon for all the "old" stuffies who came in. Aiden was there to write a story about the unconvential hospital. As soon as he saw Lillie he knew that she was his little and could not believe it. Lillie was sketchable but it was everything she ever wanted in life. Adorable characters in an adorable book. Can not wait for the next one.
I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.
Well, I clearly wandered into a genre for which I was not prepared and had minimal context. I'm an ace vanilla bean so this was very much outside of my wheelhouse, but I appreciate a spicy novella that puts so much stock in consent negotiation. As a person wandering in off the street with no concept of the scene, I found their conversations to be very comforting, so I'll keep reading and see how a feel a couple of books down the line.
Lillie and Aiden’s story is so very sweet. Aiden is first introduced to Lillie at the Stuff Hospital he was writing a story about the stuffy Hospital about how & why the restored. Then he wanted to know how Lillie became as he called it a stuffy surgeon/Doctor. After that encounter her best work friend Ralphie invited her to go to a little munch; and who came as a big Aiden, & none of the other littles were surprised. This was everything Lillie & her little could wish for….
This us one of the first ever books that ive read by the author. This is on the softer side of ddlg and theres not any major drama.
Its a very cute enjoyable read, i only wish that is was either a longer story or had an epilogue as it finished really quickly and i wpuld have loved more romance and an I Love You.
This is the tale of how Lillie and Aidan meet. It is a good story with lots of feels. I am hoping that the books will get better: the ebook leaves out words, shuffles chunks of sentences around so that you have to stop and make sense of what you read. This is NOT the authors fault! I look forward to reading more about the Stuffies Hospital.
Very cute story, moves way fast. Love the concept, but felt like the writing had a bit too much telling going on. Obviously it's supposed to be light and fluffy with a HEA ending, but honestly, it would be way more solid if it was a bit longer and a bit more drawn out... Hard to suspend belief when they met and have happily ever after all in one day.
This is a quick, sweet read but could use an editor. It’s a great example of a girl with mild autism. What I didn’t like was she clearly states no sex in her little space, but in the first sex scene there were lots of “daddies” used. Either way is fine but just pick one and stick to it.
I will admit. I DEVOURED this book!!! And I'm so happy i preordered the second one because I certainly need more of this!!! Its absolutely cute and adorable!!! I cant wait for the second book
The story was cutie and okay not memorable and I probably will not continue the series. I will say it probably would have flowed better, but needs and editor. The were missing words, transposed words made it a little difficult to enjoy.
A quick read but a very cute story. Sometimes I just want something that doesn't have lots of drama and this fit perfectly. I love watching Lillie come out of her shell with Daddy Aiden. I'll be waiting for the next story in this little series!
I loved Lillie she was so sweet. That she works to repair stuffies is so fun. I loved how Aidan meets her and then again at the munch. They have such a great connection and I loved them both. This is my first book by this author but won't be my last.
This was extremely cute and I love the fact that she is representing people with autism. I really like the hospital for stuffed animals. It's a great Setting for a little
It’s cute. Autistic girl works at a hospital for stuffies. Finds out how to love again and picks up a new friend along the way. I normally only read m/m pairings so this was unique, but not all together unpleasant. It was cute if you like littles/caregiver stuff.
This story just ended, the DD asked Lillie a question and the next page is THE END. Was my kindle version "bad"??? Was really looking forward to buying the rest in this series but will not buy another. Major disappointment
