Driving home for Christmas, I couldn’t outrun the snow or Nick Wallace. I had travelled the world, but nothing prepared me for that fateful night in his cabin… Not even for the baby girl who arrived eight months later.
There were secrets pride urged me to keep. Nick never learned about his daughter, our daughter, And I kept my word that my father would never know what we did. Their friendship didn’t need to be shattered like all my hopes.
Now, fate is calling me back home for an extended holiday season. There will be no quick getaway this time.
People say that time heals all wounds, but what can an all-consuming kiss do? Everything always looks better under the glow of holiday lights, But will the harsh light of reality be the end of everything I once craved from Nick?
This was an okay book. There was nothing wrong with it but it just wasn't exciting. Little Willa, the secret Baby was sweet, and I really liked all the characters but something was just missing for me. They had known each other all her life practically because Nick was her Dads friend and employee. He was a bartender at her Dads bar. She always had a crush on him so when two years before he found her in a snow storm, he took her to his cabin and they hooked up. The next morning he pushed her away and she took off. But she had a memento. I don't really know why she never told him, other than the fact he was Daddy's friend but he was blindsided when he saw the little girl. He really did love the heroine and hadn't been with anyone since they hooked up. She didn't either so it is safe and when they meet back up, all those feelings come back. But what will Daddy say when he finds out the truth? And he does. Like I said it was a good book I will read this author again, but it just lacked something for me. A solid three star read though still.
The author has given us a wonderful Christmas Themed, older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Nick and Darcy and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with forbidden desire, connection, secrets and steam.

This was a good holiday read. Darcy and Nick had a night together. She ends up pregnant. Things are complicated. Nick is her fathers close friend. Thankfully the dad isn't mad for too long and they get their happy ending.
I really liked this book. I generally like anything written by Sofia and this is no exception. I liked all the characters. Darcy was so strong and really Nick was more insecure than she was. Willa was a cutie. HEA was sweet and the double epilogue was unexpected But just added something extra to the book.
Christmas in the Cabin is a steamy holiday romance, has a secret baby trope and Nick is Darcy's dad's best friend and more. An innocent night a few years before have consequences that Nick and her dad aren't aware of. But secrets have a way of getting out when least expected. Boy, do they!
This is Darcy and Nick's story and is told by them in alternating chapters. They have a history since he runs her father's bar and she spent a lot of time there growing up. We learn about them a little at a time and they have an unexpected depth to them. I enjoyed how her daughter Willa is forefront in the story and really shows her personality throughout. There are many threads to the story that are woven nicely together.
I loved all the holiday activities and how often Willa was included. There is a lack of communication between Darcy and Nick that they have to overcome if they want their relationship to work. There are family and friends, anger, tears, sadness, memories and reminisces and not all are happy ones, holiday celebrations, romance, loving and love. There was closure and a happily ever after with the epilogue that was nicely portrayed. I love that the second epilogue leads us to the next book, which is Darcy's best friend's Sam's story. I can't wait to read it.

Christmas In The Cabin is an age gap, dad's best friend, secret baby, small town romance all rolled in to one. Nick and Darcy have known each other forever. Her father helped Nick after he got into trouble as a teenager and hired him to work in his bar. Even though he watched her grow up from a young child to now a beautiful woman he never saw her in a sexual way. Then everything changed when he found her stuck in a snowbank during a storm on her way back to town to visit her father. Things got heated in his cabin and one thing led to another and a night of uninhibited passion only to be shattered in the morning. Now years later they run into each other but she's not alone. The storyline follows their history and the consequences of a passionate night and how secrets, lies, betrayals are unveiled and how they are attempting to find their way back to find each other even with some difficult obstacles in the way.
It was well written, entertaining and you could feel their chemistry spilling from the pages.

Nothing Stays Secret Forever - Nick and Darcy struggle with their feelings for each because of Darcy’s father, which leads to their one drunken and a life changing result. Darcy’s return stirs up Nick’s old feeling, but he isn’t aware of the giant secret she is keeping. Their lives are shaken by Darcy’s dad’s illness, which brings them closer together and also brings about the revelation of the secret. This changes everything for them until all hell broke lose when Darcy’s dad finds out about everything. It would take them working together, to finally get their happily ever after.
I feel like I have been on one heck of an emotional roller-coaster ride, with a storyline filled with secrets, steamy encounters, drama and a hero with undeserved issues of low self-esteem. It took me eight hours to finish reading this book, but I can say without a shadow of doubt that it was worth my time. If you are looking for a book that will keep you totally engrossed and entertained, then this is the one for you.

This is a beautiful love story about an older man, Nick and Darcy a younger woman who is the daughter of the man, Bill who help Nick become the man he is today. These two spend one wonderful Christmas Eve night together and the next morning it all falls apart. Two years later Darcy comes home for the Thanksgiving holiday and during her visit her dad has health issues and ends up staying until after the New Year. The chemistry between them ignites and they end up together secretly and one night Nick hears a comment from Darcy that has him thinking about her little girl, Willa. When the secret is finally told both Nick and Darcy move forward. Darcy was offered a promotion that required her to be in the office and Nick would not help with her decision. There is a misunderstanding and Bill overhears their secret and boy is he mad. I love how they all realize that family and love is more important than anger and regret. This is one beautiful family and friends. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

They end up having an amazing fling that night. On Christmas morning Nick acts weird with Darcy.
Darcy leaves after Christmas and goes back to work. Nick is relieved because he thinks he is not good enough for Darcy plus he owes Bill. Darcy’s dad Bill saved him as a young man, gave him a job as a bartender in his bar and basically mentored Nick to keep him out of trouble. Nick doesn’t want to betray Bill’s trust.

This was a great book. I loved it from the very start. I couldn't put it down, i was hooked. I loved how they had one hot night together, where alcohol and a snow storm got in the way. Darcy and Nick were great characters, even with the age gap they got on well together. As Nick is close with Darcy's Dad they say no one should ever find out about that night. Except it can't be ignored as they made a baby, and Darcy keeps it a secret from Nick so questions are not asked. It's a great book, with lots of drama and sweet moments. This book was amazing and the author is one of my favourites. This book comes highly recommend.

CHRISTMAS IN THE CABIN has the trifecta of tropes with Nick being Darcy’s dad’s best friend and 14 years older than Darcy. The relationships in this story show people that care deeply about each other, try to protect each other, and are more concerned about others than themselves.
Nick and Darcy’s chemistry heats things up from page one. The twists and turns in the story are from navigating the trust issues and mixed signals between them with the backdrop of the Thanksgiving through New Year holiday season. I really enjoyed the book.
I have to come to love Sofia T Summer's books! Darcey comes home for the winter but gets stranded and her fathers best friends helps her out. She's always had a crush on him and one things leads to another. Two years later she s back with a baby in tow.! Looking for a Christmas miricale will they be able to reconnect? What I love the most is how Sofia T Summers writes the characters growth throughout the story. You see them come to love themselves more and to know that no matter what they are worth everything!
Well written, entertaining, age gap romance, secret pregnancy ,and family. Nick, her father's friend and employee. Bill saved him. Darcy, Bill's daughter and world traveler for her job, Mother of Willa. Misconceptions, overthinking, guilt, shame but also pleasures are intertwined throughout this romance. This is Darcy and Nick's story.

Age gap, secret baby, dad's best friend = an awesome Sofia T Summers read
When a Sofia T Summers story has age gap, secret baby & dad's best friend all wrapped up in a romance then you know you're in for an awesome time. Nick & Darcy's story will keep you going until the end. Will this Christmas be the one that Darcy stops running & the secrets stop? I can't recommend this book highly enough.

This is such a brilliant read. Darcy is keeping a big secret but when she goes home for Christmas she knows that she has to tell Nick. Nothing is easy between them apart from their attraction but what will he do when he finds out that he has a daughter. So much drama and plenty of emotion but also so much love. Loved the ending.

Nick and Darcy have history but will reconnecting 2 years later really make a difference? A desire so intense but misunderstandings might ruin everything. Emotional turmoil and desire by both Nick and Darcy make it an engaging read. At times I even wished to knock some sense into the main characters but also want what's best for them. Great book that I had to read in one go.

She got stuck in the snow, then Darcy is surprised when Nick (her father's friend) turns up and saves her. The sparks fly between them, but will Nick potentially risk his friendship? I enjoyed this older man/younger woman secret baby romance, both Darcy and Nick were easy to like.

Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Darcy steward finds herself broken down on the way to see her father for Christmas and her long time crush nick wallace finds her . now 2yrs later she back and has been hiding a secret and a lie to her father. Awesome story
What started out as friends, grew into more, yet a misunderstanding left both with feeling that the other person was not interested. So after a time and hurt feelings, some anger, being around each other again and feelings for each other surface, what to do about them? Yet, there are secrets and lies to unfold.
I really liked the personal and family dynamic in this. This is one story where I wish I could clue the main characters to the door and make them communicate. She is trying to incorporate him and not hurt her dad but also support him in his choices while completing her own. He is trying to honor her dad, support her and her choices all while dealing with past trauma of his own.
Christmas in the Cabin is book twenty-one in the series Forbidden Temptations by author Sofia T Summers. A festive tale of love- heartache- love and surprises. This sweetheart of a read will warm your heart and give you the chance to welcome the spirit of the holidays. Enjoy!!
I was excited with this book because it was well written. The characters were enjoyable and fun to follow. I read this after just finishing two series that were both happy and heartbreaking. I had cried for days and was happy to read this book that was a beautiful story with a great ending. It was worth the read.
I liked the idea of this book, but the characters felt stilted, and it was taking way too long for them to get anywhere. Then I realized that there were over 300 pages in the book (I know, I should have looked first). While I don't mind long books, I just couldn't see myself tolerating the characters for that long so I stopped reading.
Secrets always come to light at an unexpected time. Misunderstandings are time sucks. But somehow an HEA is still possible. I enjoyed Darcy and Nick’s story. My only glitch was the author’s description of Nick, which was different than the cover model. I thought the cover model looked perfect for Nick’s character.
Leaving this book with a smile and it makes me remember so many firsts. Liked the storyline and the obstacles they try to conquer both within themself and eachother aswell as their surroundings.
Christmas in the Cabin was very good. It had a lot going for it. The back and forth btn the H and the h was interesting. I was beginning to wonder about them getting their HEA. I think you would enjoy reading the book. N
