This was so good!!! There is so much drama in this I feel like I’m reading a soap opera and I loved every minute of it. Lady Ripley is hilarious and I love her antics so much. And Zeronis is super cute and I love his devotion. Like seriously!!!! The villains were fun too, quite over the top and just plain bad, which can be kind of funny in the right circumstances.
The plot though, I love how Ripley was pulled into her favorite book. It makes for such an interesting read because she’s just messing up the original plot left and right. It’s just plain funny. And the romance!!!! I’m just fan girling over the romance!!! And the ending especially!!! Loved that last scene with Ripley and Zeronis. I even liked the last scene with Rose!!! I’m going to have to read the next one stat!!!
I recommend this to graphic novel lovers who enjoy lots of drama, comedy, and romance. This was just plain fun!!

This season was honestly adorable and heart-warming!! I truly prefer it to the first season, even though season 1 was also really good. But I felt like we got to see more story and character developments here-- The ending was gorgeous and absolutely lovely, I'm also glad it wrapped everything up with no cliffhanger or frayed ends. Otherwise, if the webtoon had continued any longer, it'd be dragging the story (*true beauty flashbacks*) -- anyhow, i really loved this webtoon, zeronis and ripley shall forever live on in my heart <3 (and so will sylvia)

ripley isn’t the smartest main character that isekai-ed over, but she’s one of the female heroines that didn’t care about the past and rather, focused on her future with the love she is receiving from everyone in her new life. other than that, i really liked how old and new ripley interacted, even in the little time they had together. even though ripley is quite oblivious, she managed to create tight knit bonds with people around her, i especially liked her relationship with her maid, sylvia.
zeronis and ripley were so hilarious together. at first, all the tactics in the world wouldn’t stop zeronis from stopping the marriage. then, ripley finally accepted that this is happening, the romance was cute and funny. what a sweet pair. they really been through a lot with the other on their side. the trust and love that developed throughout was really heartwarming. it’s nice to see zeronis being so open and different towards ripley while ripley loves him. overall, it was a really sweet series.

By far one of my top favorite webtoons of all time. The humor, the drama, the characters…everything was sublime. I just CANNOT BELIEVE IT’S OVER 😭 😭 😭 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

**FULL SERIES REVIEW** - no spoilers
A very lovable and adorable manhwa read!
You can read The First Night with the Duke on Webtoons app. You get one free episode a day and 3 additional episodes a day if you watch an ad for each one. There’s about 100 episode in the series with 13 cute after the ending episodes. I kind of like to read web comics this way because I get a little treat each day, also I feel like watching ads kind of gives pay a little to the authors.
The first 3 volumes have been serialized in America and I’m happy about that! Sometimes it’s a good feeling to open an actual book and you can really get the look and feel for the graphics (which is the best part in comics).
The art style isn’t my favorite, I prefer realism with a lot of detail, but the sweet cartoon style isn’t bad either. It’s rather cute and you get the sweet feel for the series. The best part of the series for me is the leading lady, Ripley. I hate the orange (carrot) hair, but even she makes fun of her looks which I find amusing.
The story is what the title states, she spends the first night with the Duke, Zeronis, and everything kind of falls out of control or into place, depending on how you see it from that night. I really love the characters the creator created. Zeronis is the perfect side character to Ripley’s story. This is truly Ripley’s story. It’s about her falling into her favorite book world and the antics she goes through.
Ripley’s character is comical, lovable and strong. She’s one of my favorite leading ladies because of this. I love the way she presents herself and she truly doesn’t care what people think of her. I love that Zeronis never wavers and also has the heart eyes for Ripley. He’s simply cares for Ripley for who she is.
Overall, it’s a really good series to get sucked into. You can binge read everything in one go or like me, read a little a day to treat yourself to cuteness all the time until you finish the series.

Today's manga post is on The First Night with the Duke Volume 2 by Hwang DoTol and MSG (Artist). It is 256 pages long and is published by Netcomics. The cover has Zeronis on it. As it is the second volume in the series and you need to have read the first volume to understand the story. There is no foul language, mild sexuality, and no violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of Ripley. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the manga- Nothing is going the way it did in the novel.
Ripley has to do whatever it takes to get out of marrying the obsessive main character! She tries to trick Zeronis into thinking she's gravely injured. But now that she's lying in bed pretending to be hurt, it makes her feel bad to see how worried he is about her. She never thought he'd be so concerned.
Review- Ripley continues to try and make the story follow the original one but nothing she does is working. So she decides to do something very crazy. She jumps out of a window and fakes terrible injures. But Zeronis is not put off, in fact he swears that she'll be the most beautiful bride in the kingdom. I really like this series, Ripley is so funny but so earnest, and Zeronis is a one woman man, even if the woman doesn't understand that yet. I'm so glad that this series has been brought over into English and I can't wait to read the next volume.
I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

It’s come to my attention that the webtoon is not broken up neatly on Goodreads, as the last 3 volumes are nowhere to be found… I don’t know if they’ve been translated into English yet… but that’s not gonna stop me from writing this review as if vol 2 was the legit second half of the webtoon (the bonus stories reserved for vol 3)!
[4.0] I love this story. I love Ripley. I love the character development. I love how the drama wasn’t needlessly drawn out. I love the happy ending.
However. I wish we got more backstory— I wish the characters and the world were more fleshed out. I wish we got more moments between Ripley and Zeronis, don’t get me wrong, their relationship and love feels REAL, but it’s still quick. I wish we knew more of the parents. Really, I’m grateful that this story wasn’t drawn out, but I really really wish there was more. Most of all though, I wish that everything was translated in English and that I could buy physical copies… I was genuinely not expecting to love this romcom as much as I do but, it was a real page turner and emotion churner and I just want /more/.

Let me just start off by saying, I was so excited for this series and I thought the first book was laugh out loud funny.
Now the second volume gave me mixed feelings. I found myself getting bored at times reading this and it didn’t give me the spark as the first volume did.
Also I can’t stand the male MC’s bipolar manipulative, abusive personality/actions. Sorry what makes him a good MC?? Also I feel like the female MC is too smart not to see right through him!!?

Tengo dos cosas por resaltar de este tomo: qué conchuda que es Rose y que hermosa pareja hacen los protas.
Es una cosa que me parecía un poquito forzada la historia de amor al principio, pero lo fui sintiendo más y más real a medida que pasaba. Me sorprendió que concretaran de nuevo tan rápido pero quién soy yo para juzgar(?
En cuanto a Rose... Siento que va a ser un grano en el cucu como lo fue en la historia principal según la prota 🙈

Este volumen añade trasfondo al personaje de Ripley pero, cuidado, porque la trama empieza a hacerse pesada y sigue sin dar respuestas a cómo la protagonista acabó dentro de su historia favorita. Espero que el tercer tomo no alargue la historia innecesariamente, porque perderá inevitablemente frescura con la que empezó.

YOUR HONOR THEYRE SO IN LOVE 😭😭😭. I just love ripley’s character so much and how she begins to slowly think of herself as the own main character of her life and grow from her past/insecurities. Etoile is such a genuine og fl too. Zeronis just loves Ripley so much Im so happy for them omg.
