This volume is just heartache through and through. There are a lot of flashbacks, and you really feel the pain and the suffering that both couples (Leticia & Ditrian) and (Noelle & Arwin) went through. Some of the pain comes from the sacrifices they make for their beloved ( Leticia dying because she can't bring herself to kill Ditrian and Arwin getting badly hurt because he asked Noelle to run away first during the valenos attack) and the prices they have to pay for their political and religious views ( Ditrian losing his brother and Arwin having to kill Noelle himself). And if there is anything that can make me fall in love with a story is lovers suffering for each other and by each other choices.
Anyhow, all these events and flashbacks really add to the drama and tragedy of it all and makes you hate the Saintess (Leticia's mother) all the more because of all the suffering she havocked on others because she was too power hungry.

The traumatic back stories continue in this volume. Our villain continues to be disgustingly evil. It makes the temple and commoners seem a bit dumb for never questioning her behaviors and actions but that is the downside of a religious figurehead and a supernatural enforcer squad. Miscommunication enters are budding romance. Predictable but well executed.

Leticia tries to bury Prince Julius’s remains but collapses when Josephine activates the curse. Ditrian tries to assist but is forced to leave her in view of some knights. Ninth Wing Noelle Armos recognizes Leticia as the Saint and swears allegiance. Ditrian is shocked to discover her true identity. Meanwhile Leticia promises Ditrian that she will divorce him in six months freeing him from this unwanted marriage. And Noelle’s lover, Third Wing Arwin is tasked by Josephina to release a monster on the entourage of Genos during their voyage home after the wedding.

They're reaaaaally taking their time paving the way for the big fight...

Sometimes the female lead annoys me. I know what she's gone through, but she's so pure and lovable for everyone that the growth seems to be not that important.

The villain... I think is PRETTY interesting the Oracle part... but apart from that this woman causes nothing in me. Yeah you get to despise her for what she's done in the past, but for what we have in the present, you just don't care enough if she gets what she deserves and such stuff. She ruined everyone's life but in this future you can't feel that AT ALL. You can see the victims' weakness nevertheless they don't look that afraid.

I guess what's left is the main couple. I hope it gets better to replace the conflict part.

Eigentlich eher 3,5 Sterne. Es gibt hier viele Geschehnisse, die neugierig auf mehr machen. Ich freue mich schon auf die Fortsetzungen.

Es gibt auch bereits einige Vermutungen, die ich habe. Neben Leticias Schicksal interessiert mich sehr das der Flügel. Anscheinend scheinen mehr als nur Noelle nichts bei der aktuellen Heiligen zu spüren. Und wie kann man als "Heilige" nur so grausam sein? Was war der Auslöser dafür?

Sehr viele Fragen, die einem in den Kopf kommen und ich bin wirklich gespannt, wie alles aufgelöst werden wird.

God i forgot how good this is. I stopped reading it a while ago because sometimes drama gets too much and I get too into and I just need to take a break. But now I’m back. AND I LOVE IT!!! I love plots that revolve around a character having to sacrifice themselves. The inner neglected child loves seeing people care about each other. I love it. I love it. Almost no romantic chemistry but that could be because I started back up from where I left off and not from the beginning again.

Si bien siento que va algo lento, me encanta como se esta desarrollando todo, como los personajes van creciendo y como otros se van incorporando.
