Interesting figure whose poetry celebrated and, in a sense, maintained (through their wide circulation and performance) the royalist aesthetic of power-in-retreat and of neo-Platonism as harmony and solidarity. The syntax is far too annoyingly weird and convoluted, though, for me to give it anything more than three stars.
