Marcos Vasquez is a jaded musician, working his way through San Francisco with the goal to never sleep with the same man twice. A new app to find the older men Marcos loves to top is the perfect hunting ground for his ideal type of bear. When Marcos has to prove he isn’t as flighty as his reputation suggests, he ropes a one-night hookup into the plan.

Despite coming out later in life as transgender, pansexual, and kinky, Sam Andrews is an optimistic man. Friends tell Sam there’s a new dating app called Bears-4-U, where people are seeking older, chubby Daddy Bears, just like him. Sam hopes to find his teddy bear, but gets more than he bargained for with a brat who talks Sam into fake-dating.

Pretending to date Sam is an eye opener for Marcos, when he ends up learning he enjoys being dominated and kept on edge. Can Marcos keep from falling for the older Daddy Bear after faking their way through a relationship?

Fluff Me features a sassy "I-don't-have-Daddy-issues" boy named Marcos, and Trans Daddy Bear named Sam who get tangled up in a low angst rom-com with a twenty year age gap, Grumpy-Sunshine opposites attract, theater kids grown up, #fakedating and edging k!nk with a HEA.

Bears-4-U is a MM Daddy romance, multi-author series, featuring a host of delicious Daddy pairings. The Bears-4-U dating app is all about putting Bears and Teddy Bears together for their honey-sweet HEAs. Psst, no real bears involved. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not snuggle up with all the bears?

This is, I believe, the first M/M romance book that did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't particularly like it, and I didn't actually hate it either. I know that I didn't like the Marcus character at all. He was an over-the-top diva. Not that there is anything wrong with that...but Sam didn't deserve those actions. He almost let his issues destroy his newfound happiness and crush the spirits of almost everyone else. It took him way too long to figure it all out...and as a result he almost lost Sam... who was the best thing that ever had ever happened to him.

I fell in love with Sam and was really rooting for him to get his happiness with Marcus if that was what he really wanted...but almost to the end of the story I felt that he deserved so much better. This was just an "okay" story with a bit of light kink...but a boat-load lot of drama. I would rather the drama and the kink have been reversed. But hey...it did have two cute, precious dogs...so it got 3-stars.

„Sam took me apart without my noticing. Disarmed me in a way no other lover had before. No one had ever had me thinking of them as a lover, before.“

This light and delightful book was actually a reread and I’m glad I still enjoyed it.
Sam and Marcos were absolutely adorable together I loved their whole daddy/boy dynamic even if it was really delicate and light, compared what I mostly read.

I adored that Marcos took Sam as the man he is and didn’t bombed him with questions or made him uncomfortable for having different bodyparts. He just went naturally a long with it and saw him as the daddy bear he was and I loved it.

All in all I really enjoyed this book, but I have to take one star away because the whole miscalculation thing and Marcos long lasting denial was a bit too much for me. But otherwise I really loved this read.

This was good. I am slightly wary going into the series because I feel like there's going to be a lot of fat phobia. And what I mean by that is exactly what happened in this book where we had a character consistently noted that he wasn't fat just chubby and that's fine, but what is the purpose of constantly villanizing fatness?. You can say he's soft around the middle or that he has a cute little belly without needing to make it so clear that he isn't fat. God forbid someone be actually fat. So my prediction is that the series is going to contain a bunch of midsize men which is cool, but I hope there's at least one capital F Fat character. It's literally made for it. Come on.

Anyway basically we have a mid-size trans Daddy MC who is 55 I think or 50 I can't quite remember. Then we have a "I don't have daddy issues" boy who is mid-thirties if I remember right. I really liked both of the characters and I liked their fake dating to real dating vibe. This was a good book. I enjoyed it but I probably won't reread it. I would recommend it to folks who read kinky books.

In typical R.A. fashion, they deliver another fantastic gender-fluid masterpiece! And the Daddy bear vibe added compensation to an already unique storyline (the kink was drool-worthy, too 😉).

“𝓓𝓪𝓭𝓭𝔂 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓻𝓾𝓵𝓮𝓼, 𝓫𝓪𝓫𝓮,”

I fell in love with Sam and Marcos’ instant connection; a lot of chemistry, too, right away. Their body's need for each other was fierce, resulting in scorching smut scenes that left me breathless on more than one occasion.

“𝒟𝑜𝓃’𝓉 𝓎𝓊𝒸𝓀 𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓎𝓊𝓂,”

Loved the updates on past characters as well, as an introduction to a couple of new ones, too. I have always appreciated the educational aspect of their books, especially having a trans-MC. Learning about their lives and the dysphoria they experienced was enlightening and appreciated. I cannot wait for their next release!!

Okay wow. R.A. Frick is an autobuy author for me! I absolutely adore their writing style. I had the pleasure of alpha reading this book and let me tell you, it was such a pleasure to see this story as it started then compare it with the final copy. Seriously so good.

Marcos is a musician who meets the sexy and charming Sam. Sam is one hot trans bear daddy that I just can't get enough of.

This story is a fun and sassy romcom with fake dating, a grumpy sunshine trope and low angst.

I loved every word.

4.5 🌟 I really enjoyed Sam's point of view in this story and how amazing the Trans representation was. Marcos was very much a man who didn't know who or what he really wanted, he truthfully did know but wouldn't allow himself to be honest. I loved seeing and catching up with our old friends from the xclub. I saw a few spelling errors but it was fantastic either way

This was my first book by this author, and it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed the diversity of the characters and their lifestyles, and I learned a lot I didn’t already know. I enjoyed the relationship between Marcos and Sam, although I did get frustrated with Marcos at times. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

A very sweet and steamy romance about a Daddy bear looking for a boy, and the reluctant boy who stole his heart.
Marcos may be kinky, but he doesn’t need a man. Hook-ups and quick scenes are more his thing, but relationships are not on his radar. He’s got a play to get on stage, and he doesn’t need anything else. Certainly not a Daddy of his own.
Sam is exactly Marcos’ kind of man. He’s a silver fox and a sexy bear wrapped up in one, and when he’s not doling out punishment, he’s incredibly caring and sweet. Sam is a trans man who spent years becoming comfortable with who he is, and he’s ready to share that with someone who loves him just the way he is.
Marcos is vehemently against them being a couple, but when a very important person assumes their boyfriends, Marcos will have to fake it. But can he believe that he’s good enough for Sam?
This is a sweet, kinky story with trans rep, lots of our wonderful friends from X Club, a sassy boy and a foxy Daddy!

Fluff Me by R.A. Frick is part of the Bears-4-U series by multiple authors. This book is about Marcos and Sam. Marcos isn't a boy, he doesn't need a Daddy. When he meets Sam it's just a onenightstand. Until he needs a fake boyfriend.

I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it, especially given the diversity of characters and lifestyles. The attraction between Sam and Marcos was instant and though Marcos’ behaviour was annoying and sad at times, it was understandable and forgivable in the context and didn’t last long thankfully. Overall a great read about two people finding exactly what they need in each other.

Fluff Me was my first experience with R.A. Frick’s writing, and I’m definitely a fan. I mostly read historical romances (MM, MF, and FF) because books written in the first person tend to drive me up the wall, but they have a style of writing that drew me into this story.

This was a book of firsts for me. It’s the first time I read a book that mentioned bears, teddy bears, and pups. It’s also the first time I read a romance novel with a character who happened to be trans. The way Sam’s character was written was so tender and sensitive. Marcos was his perfect foil. I loved reading how they interacted. Their communication, for the most part, was amazing. I especially appreciated how open they were about their intimate needs.

The supporting cast of characters in this book piqued my interest, and I’m looking forward to reading their backlist. I can’t finish my review without mentioning Sam’s Chihuahua , Disco, and Marcos’s Great Dane, Dolly. I have a soft spot for books with pets when they aren’t written as tokens. Disco and Dolly were definitely an important part of the plot. I have it on good authority that the novels about the supporting cast of characters also have canine and feline kiddos.

On a more personal note, my best friend from 7th grade is trans, and I felt like Sam gave me insight to questions I felt were too invasive to ask since we’d lost touch for many years. We reconnected thanks to Facebook. I’m looking forward to reading romances representing more of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Marcos is gay and likes having one night stands with Daddy bear types. He feels unable to to commit to being with someone more than once but finding a man his type who is willing to agree to one night is getting harder. His friends sign him up on the Bears 4 you website where he meets Sam. Their night together is fantastic but Sam ends up staying the night and they get caught leaving the next morning by his disapproving neighbor. To shut him up Marcos introduces Sam as his boyfriend. Marcos and his friends have been working hard on a comedy music that is LGBQIA friendly and are trying to find someone willing to produce it. When they catch the eye of a willing producer, Marcos is shocked to find that he is his neighbor. Marcos has to convince him that he has settled down and is responsible to get more than one night funding so Marcos lies about Sam again. He has to convince Sam to be his fake boyfriend.

Sam is an older transgender pansexual. He looks just like a Daddy bear even though he is shorter than most. He really wants a boy to care for but most boys aren't interested in him. When he meets Marcos. sparks fly and he goes home with him for the night. Sam wants more than one night but Marcos seems to ghosting him. Later he gets a call from Marcos who wants to talk to him. Marcos tells Sam how he needs Sam to be his daddy for a few weeks to get the funding for their dream Play to be put on. Sam is willing to agree and shows Marcos what is like to have a real Daddy.

This author seems to think that everything about the characters has to be sledgehammered at us: in chapter 1, the character who’s a playwright gives us the full exposition of what he’s looking for in specific detail. Yes, it’s for an ad on a dating app, but it’s also … boring.

Then in chapter 3, they start rehearsing his play, “Play”, which is… “about queerness and sex-positivity.” Okay, those are great, though it’s not clear it’ll carry a plot. And it’s regrettable that in the previous paragraph, we meet one of the performers, who left broadway [sic], only to find a partner in San Francisco who complimented [sic] her well.

But, uh, here’s the beginning of the first rehearsal:

First, I taught them the lyrics to our opening act son “Who does anal? Assholes!” They crooned and chorused along before I was even through the first run-through. “A kiss makes your day… But anal makes your hole weak!”

People singing along in the audience was the goal. Lou and I weren’t trying to be a new Rocky Horror, but a unique and funny take on gender and exploration.

See, um, if this were funny? I might overlook the bad editing. But this isn’t funny.

I hope this is the right book for other people.

Jaded musician Marcos Vasquezis working is his way through the available men in San Francisco when he discovers the Bears-4-U app which he hopes means he can find older men who he wants to top. When a deal hangs on him proving he is not so flighty he hopes that his last one-night hookup will help him. Sam Andrews is transgender and pansexual. He signs up to the new dating app Bears-4-U where he hopes to find a Little who wants an older and chubby Daddy just like him. Pretending to date Sam is an eye-opener for Marcos when he ends up learning he enjoys being dominated and kept on edge. Can Marcos keep from falling for the older Daddy Bear after faking their way through a relationship?

I enjoyed this story with the promiscuous musician and the steady architect who had plenty of BSDM skills in his pocket. I loved that he was in love with Marcos and it was just a case of when would Marcos realise. There was a moment when I just wanted to shake Marcos and hug Sam while giving him tissues and chocolate. Easy to read, feel and understand. This MM story with mature content is a BDDM-like DDLB relationship with lots of edging.

A big strong daddy bear is my favorite, and Sam is absolutely perfect! As a trans man who came into himself later in life, he is finally comfortable in his own skin, and ready to settle down. His friends introduce him to the Bears dating app, and he's hoping to at least find a good time. Then we have Marcos, the beautiful young and talented musician. He has no interest in a relationship, and is always willing to have that good time. Their initial hookup is explosive, and the chemistry and kink is off the charts. Unfortunately Marcos is kind of a jerk, as we already knew, and ignores poor Sam until he needs him for a crazy fake dating scheme. We then find out there is a lot of crossover in their friends groups, and the relationship starts to not feel fake. You want to shake Marcos a lot, but we end up with a very romantic HEA and lots of super hot and heavy kink, and I am all for it!

Beary Adorable MM Romance

Part of the Bear-4-U multi author series, this also links to Frick's own X Club characters whilst linking into the Cuff'd App series too.
We get to spend time with Q, A and C, Roman and his Polyfam and more. Sam is an older trans man and bear who is also vers. His friends set him up on the new Bear App Roman is working on and he goes to a mixer only to meet a gorgeous Latino one night stand Marcos who likes to top but needs rules.
It's an amazing night but things get complicated when his judge neighbour sees them together and Marcos tells 3-B that Sam is his boyfriend to wipe the smugness off his face.
Unfortunately, the potential investor for his queer musical is ... Devlin, aka neighbour 3-B and he invested because Marcos is now in a stable relationship.
It's a Fake Dating scenario with kink and a trans man as one narrator, discussing the challenges he faces.
It's sexy, funny, delightful, sweet and emotional.
Terrific

I tried with this one. My biggest struggle was the extremely KINKY sex, over and over again, which had me skipping through this novel. I liked Marcos and Sam, even though it seemed their main goal was to see how often they could get each other off. Marcos is an actor and musician trying desperately to get his new "PLAY" off the ground, but when an investor, requires Marcos to prove he is stable and responsible, Marcos decides a steady boyfriend is just what he needs. Enter Sam, whom Marcos had a hook up with. Sam is a trans man, and agrees to pretend to be Marcos' boyfriend. I wish this one had more romance, and story, but it really missed the mark, by forcing the readers into a very KINKY sex excursion of the two main characters. I guess for me I don't need the sex to create a good romance story, and I like Daddy/Boy stories because of the care and compassion in them. I'm much more the "fade to black" concept of sex scenes, but maybe that's just me.

Fluff Me is a fabulous addition to the Bears-4-U world and I love that this world crosses with R.A. Frick's X Club series as well, because it gives us an amazing world of genderfluid and genderqueer characters for Sam and Marcos to interact with!

It's kinda sweet, very steamy and I messaged with the author around chapter 15 and said, "I'm going to go back to the book and find out when Marcos stops fighting the inevitable" and I could hear them laughing at me as they replied "I'm sorry for his upcoming stupidity." And honestly that is the story in a nutshell...

Oh yeah, Sam is trans, much older and a truly sweet and wonderful Daddy Bear that Marco just doesn't truly appreciate fully... and you're going to root for him from the moment you meet him. And there are adorable dogs... and well, an incredibly creative play, and well... you'll have to read for more...

I received an ARC and this is my honest review. Cheerfully I add that this is one of several I have been lucky enough to receive and I can always count on Frick for diverse, unique characters.

Things you should know before reading are included in the blurb. Frick makes it easy for readers to be aware before they dive in and I personally love that.

Marcos - is a brat hiding in a tops body. Like I know tops can be brats too, but Marco really needed someone to take care of him and didn’t want to admit it.

Sam - is thoughtful, tender, and kinky. The sweetness mixed with confidence in this one makes my own heart go extra pitter patter.

This mostly low-angst romcom, I’d be happy to read again - although I wasn’t a theater kid so I think some references are wasted on me, I enjoyed the story as a whole.

Marcos and Sam story was an emotional rollercoaster as they get over all their insecurities, hang ups, and hurts they suffered in the past and that continue to follow them in the present.
Their relationship is a bumpy journey to happiness as past hurts haunts them, old rejections still ring true in their experience, and they often feel overwhelmed.
It was bittersweet to see their struggles and heartbreak they cause, how they learn to trust in each other and to learn to love themselves.
I loved to see old characters and to see a peek in their lives, to see their attempts at helping Marcos and Sam and the support they receive in their time of need.

From the blurb, I expected to be irritated with Marcos and feel totally sympathetic for Sam. I was right about Sam, a wonderful character that I'd dearly love to know in real life, but I was wrong about Marcos. The author wrote him so that his behavior early in the book was understandable and I rooted for him to realize what he and Sam had and make it permanent as soon as they got together. Yep, I was rooting for insta-love, so both of them could be happy. It wasn't instant, but it didn't take long for the fake dating to start to turn very real. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

RA Frick has this immense talent for writing gender-fluid, non binary and trans characters and I love reading them as I always learn something. I learn about the community and about how to be a better human. These are my favorite types of stories - ones with the care and communication I love along with what I know to be an accurate and sensitive portrayal of diverse characters. Marcos and Sam are a beautiful couple - spicy, sweet and so incredibly human. I also think you can never so wrong with a sexy bear! Great book!

Marcos and Sam are a fun couple to read. Marcos has very specific tastes that do not match his outward presentation. Sam is dealing with the same dilemma. These two men bond over dogs, needing to prove a lack of flightiness, and a bear/teddy bear with non traditional roles. Sam is a late in life trans male that finds out while he likes to bottom he also likes to be edged and as a Daddy likes to help his boy. Marcos is a one night only man that doesn’t know he needs a Daddy but discovers he does and likes it.

Fluff Me is a lot of fun. I really enjoy this series.

Has me smiling!

Marcos was a one and done, move on to the next guy, then the next guy. As a musician/actor, writer, he wants things his way, in control and no entanglements. Being on the Bears 4 U app brings Sam into his life. Intending for their first time together to be their last, he underestimated how much Sam would come to mean to him.

Sam, a transgender, is older, but is a sexy Daddy Bear. Meeting Marcos shows Sam he can be all and have all with his boy. Excellent writing this fun and sexy book!

Age gap with light Daddy/boy

This was a really good age gap story with a little bit of a Daddy/boy dynamic. I liked how Marcos and Sam met and how they bonded over their dogs. I enjoyed the fake dating elements although I knew Sam was going to get his heart broken. Luckily Marcos doesn't leave him hurting too long before he realizes how much he needs Sam in his life. A lot of sweet moments filled with some hot bedroom action. I liked the different ways they explored each other. I wish Play was a real show, I would love to see something like that.

I enjoyed this book but Marcos is a bit of a diva. Not that there is anything wrong with that. He just almost let his issues destroy his happiness and crush the spirit of someone else. Thank goodness it doesn’t take him too long to figure it all out because Sam certainly didn’t deserve it. I fell in love with Sam and was really rooting for him to get his HEA. This is a good story with a bit of light kink involved and a whole lot of drama, even if some of it is onstage. 😉

He is using an app to find the older bear shifters he wants but he will never have more than one night with any of them. They are looking for someone to be theirs forever so they try the new app. They will be brought together by the app but will it ever be just one more night? What will they do? Can they find the happiness they both are looking for? See just what is going to happen for them

This is the story of Marcos and Sam. This is part of the multi author Bear-4-U series. This is the first time I am reading this author and it definitely not be the last. Their story is written beautifully. It is sweet, funny with lots of emotion. Definitely recommended.

I received this book as an Arc and I am happily reviewing it voluntarily.
