Born 1941, studied education in Oldenburg, worked as a teacher until 1967, then completed a second degree in education, politics and psychology in Erlangen-Nuremberg, 1971 Doctorate. Since 1971 Professor at the University of Bremen: political economy of the education sector. Retired since March 2006. Huisken is an author of the magazine GegenStandpunkt and even after his retirement regularly lectures on science criticism and political issues.
