Years later, I’m on the cusp of finally filling in the missing pieces, only for them to barge into my life at the worst possible moment. It only takes one glimpse to realize I’m not the only one who’s changed.
Alexi, Talon, and Malik.
Gone are the boys I once knew. Gone are my saviors from across the road. In their place are the furies that rule and set order, now nothing more than my captors.
A deal was struck and I had no choice but to agree. Now I find myself in Hollow Pier with the truth still keeping us apart, and my soul burning to repair its missing pieces.
I don’t stand a chance against them.
I never have.
Heartless Souls is a why choose standalone spin-off for Harmonia from Rhea's story in the early books of the Saints Academy series.
“I came to say that I was meant for you, just like you were meant for me. But you could only have me when you deserved me.” — Harmonia I love KC Kean's writing with all my heart. Whilst reading the other books in the series, I was getting hyped up for Harmonia's turn... and can I just say I was not disappointed!!! Out of all the MMCs ( Talon, Alexi and Malik) Talon has to hands down be my favourite. The tension, the angst... it was all just sheer perfection. I'm such a sucker for a slowburn. I must point out that the flashback scenes did tie in the story in a way that just left the reader wanting more. I've really enjoyed this series, and I highly recommend you try it if you like the incorporation of Greek Mythology. I can't wait to see if KC Kean continues her path down the paranormal genre.
I truly did not know what to expect when it came to this book. For some reason, I assumed it would be a quick novella where Harmonia got her HEA but that was so not the case! Yes, she got her HEA but she had to work for it! KC did a great job of fitting so much action into one normal sized novella and I was eating it all up. I have to say that Talon was definitely my favorite guy but the other two weren't far behind. I also loved the cameos we got from Rhea and her guys!
I was super excited to read Harmonia's story, and omg, let me tell you, my heart just crumbled for Harmonia, Talon, the funny but flirty one, Alexi, the angy one (alphahole), and Malik, the silent but intense one. This story is a continuation of the scene from Fearless souls book. IYKYK
It definitely answers all the questions about the history of these characters, and it's more of a book there were things that were things that were left unsaid, and these men had to leave for a very important because it was their fate. It's so hard to review this without spoiling things. I shall quote Olivia Rodrigo instead:
"'Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street."
I really love the greek mythology references, especially the furies. Ahh! And Hades, I really love him. This man needs more screen time, honestly.
💕Why choose 💕 Age Gap 💕Friends to enemies to lovers 💕Second chance romance with a touch of angst 💕Longing for their soulmate 💕Sassy FMC 💕 slow-mid burn 💕standalone 💕Paranormal fantasy romance- Angel and Furies
This story picks up where Harmonia’s story ends in Fearless Souls. The Furies Alexi, Talon and Malik have taken her back to their home. They are angry with her for something in the past that we learn about further into the book. Their lives have revolved around each other since they were kids. The Furies are 6 yrs older then Harmonia so when they turned 22 and had to touch Pandora’s Box she was only 16. They were selected to become the new Furies of Hell, they were told who their soul bond is… Harmonia. When they approached her she told them no because she wanted it to be about love and not something done by duty. This leads to 6 years of not being around each other until Nyx needed their help in Fearless Souls. They make a deal with Nyx and Harmonia agrees to go with them.
This starts the story with the angst, drama and hurt that they all feel. She loves them, now and back then. I really enjoyed Harmonia’s story, she was the most feisty, sassy and foul mouthed Angel ever.
We meet a few new villains and learn what the Furies real jobs are. When Harmonia is marked they will stop at nothing to keep her safe. New magic emerges and we see it put to work in end.
I hope KC Kean comes back to this world in the future because I don’t want to say goodbye. Maybe the second generation will call to her and we will see them all again.

POV: Multiple
“I love you, Baby H. I love you now, I loved you then, I’ve loved you forever.”
To always feeling like the side character in your own story, it’s coming, just you wait. This one's for you.
OK first I love hermonia she will always be one of my favorite characters from here on out. But I also notice I love KC’s Hey best friend story books the best and I do feel like it’s exactly like her dedication which I posted above and I feel like that’s exactly how I feel and why I love the side, character stories the best, so thank you KC, for giving us the side characters their own stories. I also notice this book took me longer to read not because I didn’t love it but because I love it so much and didn’t want it to end. Harmonia is a character who knows her worth and doesn’t take crap from anyone not even her three fury’s. I love how we get a view on Rea and Herman, and what they have been up to and overall the conclusion to the series is just chefs kiss I love where everyone ends up and how it all turns out for all the characters.
Book: Heartless Souls Read By: Ebook and Audio Author: K.C Kean Narrator: Lance Greenfield and L. McCallister Genre: Reverse Harem and Fantasy Romance Main Characters: Harmonia, Malik, Talon and Alexi Recommend: Yes Spice: 🌶️️ 🌶️️ 🌶️️ 🌶️️ 🌶️️ Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
Im so sad the series is over.
“Your last five minutes as a virgin are going to be spent with you coming on my tongue, then I’m going to claim it, claim you, and burn the world to the ground with us.”
Ive never read a book more slowly then this one! I was not prepared for the series to be done. I think I might do a whole re read just to savour it some more.
“Her hands fist at her sides as she scoffs in response. “Please, the only crazy person here is you, for thinking you are going to last more than two minutes around here. If anything, I’m doing you a favour. You’re. Welcome.”
KC Kean did it again! She is the queen of Reverse Harem and Smut. I waited for the Audio book version of this to be released before I read it. I needed the voices to complete it.
“As the piece of paper floats toward me, I consider leaving it to join the others, but something inside forces me to grab it. Turning the sheet around in my hands, my eyes widen as I blink at the paper. After a few moments, when none of the details seem to change, I get a stirring in my gut that tells me something isn’t right. Why the fuck has Greta been profiled, the details linking to Malik’s speciality? Jealousy.”
It didn't disappoint at all! Lance Greenfield and L. McCallister are amazing Narrators and really know how to bring a book to life.
“If I take you to Harmonia, does this mean you owe me, Alexi?” she asks, pissing me off even more as I grind my teeth together in agitation. It’s on the tip of my tongue to tell her to fuck off, but Rhea speaks first, trying to mediate the situation.
If you want to read please do, but I recommend you read books 1-4 firs as tis is book 5 of a 1-5 book series and its a spin off for one of the main Mcs.
“For our forever,” Talon adds, his eyes shimmering with unspoken emotions that I feel deep inside my soul as my heart soars with joy. “This is a forever I’m totally down for.”
Normally I don’t recommend spin off books but Kc Kean dose them so well, and makes a whole new world to come to life while still giving you glimpse of the old world you came to love.
“I fucking love you.” They each speak in sync, uttering the same four words and fuelling my soul with so much love and happiness that I can’t even be mad that we’re being interrupted, because that’s all it is; an interruption. We’ve got this forever, together, and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
Highly Recommend.

This series was so addictive. I’m attached to all the characters and I’m so sad that I’ve finished, I might have to start all over again with book one. It’s the strong female lead character for me and the four adoring guys who would walk (or fly) to the ends of the earth, or hell for her.
If you enjoy a why chose then check out this series but be prepared to be hooked!!!
I had a feeling going in that there was a good chance that I would love this book even more than the main series and unsurprisingly I WAS RIGHT! Part of it is because I always saw a lot more of myself in Harmonia than I did in Rhea, which is perfectly fine but it made me a bit more attached to her book as a result! But also, the set up we got in Fearless Souls implied that this would be a friends to enemies to lovers story which is one of my favorite tropes and I was not disappointed! While they definitely didn't start off on the right foot after all that time I liked that they weren't too mean to her considering the difficult situations they put her in both six years ago and now. Quite honestly, I loved that Harmonia knew the value of her self worth back then and said no when they came knocking because they had to not because they wanted to. She deserves more than what they offered her and if I were in her shoes I would have done the same thing!
Their terrible decision making aside, I loved these men. Alexi, Talon, and Malik all had such different personalities that ended up creating the perfect balance for their group and for Harmonia. Her arguments with Alexi were hilarious, her banter with Talon hot, and her moments with Malik heart warming. Each of them brought out a new side to her that I enjoyed seeing but she also seemed to bring out their soft sides and it was so sweet. I love when powerful men like these guys melt for their woman and this book was no different. Another thing I really enjoyed was that she was the one to rescue herself, not her men, not her friends, HER! I always knew she was a strong and capable character from the previous books, I was just so happy that her strength was put in the spotlight instead of being hidden away behind her love interests. Bonus points for all of the Rhea appearances where she was ready to go feral for her bestie, this book reminded me why female friendships are my absolute fave!
While I will miss this world and these characters, overall I'm very content with the stories we got for both Rhea and Harmonia in this series! I know KC has another paranormal/fantasy series planned for later so while I'm sad to go, I'm even more excited to see what she has coming up next!
I loved Harmonia as soon as she was introduced in Reckless Souls, so I couldn't wait to get her own story, especially with the events that went down on the last book and how three men from her past took her as their own, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!!
Harmonia has sooo much fire in her (no pun intended that time) so when she realizes where she's at, with who, she's really not too happy. Once upon a time she loved Malik, Alexi and Talon with her whole heart, but they broke it and never looked back. Now they think they can just waltz right in her life and tell her what to do? I don't think so! Harm gives as much as she gets, and it really is a battle of the wills for a while, but underneath the pain, the ahole behavior from a certain someone in particular, and bitter feelings, there's still so much love between then all. And the more time they spend around each other, the more that's evident in everything they do.
The storyline here was insane and had me glued to my kindle!!! SO much was happening, and I'm so happy it was in one book so I could just binge it in one sitting, lol! I loved how fierce Harmonia was, and the way her guys loved her (after they stopped low key hating her) was amazing!! Plus her mom?! Gods I love her!! Easily the best parent out of this entire series.
I wish there had been more focus on the relationships at times, but with all the intense back to back action, you could still very much tell how much this group loved one another. And I loved seeing Rhea and her men pop up too! I just love this series so much!
Though this is technically a standalone, you really need to read Rheas series in order to understand all that's going on, and trust me, that's not a hardship by any means! KC is truly one of the best authors and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**
I am so glad that KC gave us another story from her paranormal universe. Because I loved every minute I read the Saints Academy Series.
The world she created was the perfect blend of mythological elements, sizzling tension, shocking revelations and spice… oh the spice…RH at its finest.
Heartless Souls is a childhood-friends to enemies ( kind of) to-lovers RH standalone, that follows Rhea’s bestie, Harmonia.
Well, it is hard to review a spin-off book of a completed series, without giving anything away so I am just going to express my thoughts about this book.
First, the task to write a RH standalone is extremely difficult. To capture the development between more than 2 characters, each different in personality, and also create a connection to make the story believable takes time and many many pages. But KC gave us enough bits and pieces of Harmonia and the Furies so that this book had a pretty solid ground to start with.
As usual with KC’s stories, I was instantly sucked into the storyline. As I mentioned many many times, I am fascinated with the use of mythology in this universe and I just loved it every time something new popped up. It made everything complex, complete and charming. The characters, the boys mostly, were paid just the perfect amount of attention, sketching their individualities and similarities and making them authentic.
I enjoyed this book immensely, and, even though KC did say that she is done with the universe for now, I do hope we will get more someday “ keeping my fingers crossed “.
Ahhh this line from the prologue has me screaming inside with excitement!
There is so much in this book and i am allfrigginforit. My heart and soul are COMPLETE reading this book. There is drama, sexual chemistry, tension, twists, turns and utter love and devotion! Hold on to your heart in this one!
I absolutely adore the flashback scenes, they are beautiful and you can instantly feel the brokeness off the boys too. I loved the intensity between Harm and the boys!
Harm's commentery and sass is utter perfection. The perfect balance to keep them on their toes hen needed but also keeps the us as the reader chuckling awayy!
I LOVED seeing elements of Rhea and her boys too, the interconnected books always fulfil my heart. Espeically Adnois trying to cause drama.
For me this was the exact story for Harm which brings out her strength. My heart is so complete reading this instalement!! KC YOU NEVER FAIL TO STEAL MY HEART.
I’m back in the world of Saints Academy and we’re finally finding out what happened to our girl Harmonia! Heartless Souls by KC Kean picks up after her story ended on a bit of a cliffy in Rhea’s last book.
Seems Harmonia gave her heart to three boys when she was young, but after a bad decision, they left her behind and disappeared. Except now Alexi, Malik, and Talon are back, playing a crucial role in the magical world, and she’s their hostage 😬
I loved the history and connection these four shared. The obstacles they face combined with the tension and steam had me begging for more! I love this world and secretly hope KC has more up her sleeve in the future 😁
DNF. The writing could be so much better. There was a lot of useless detail that didn’t add to the storyline or character building, while at the same time making no sense and leaving the reader scratching their heads. Case in point: The 3 guys take a girl they have an interest in captive then seem to forget to feed her. Harmonia forgets she can rescue herself until she’s going hungry. Overall, she seems to have morphed from an interesting and fun character in previous books to an airhead.
I liked Harmonia getting her own story to help explain just what the heck was going on with the furies. I did like this one overall, but there were certainly things that had issues.
First issue being, they have know her forever, finally get her back, but then put her in a cage? The issue being that they just forget to feed her. Was she just suppsed to freeze and starve to death?
My other issur is that there didnt seem to be much consistency from the first 4 books to the one. Point in case, the many many multiple times the stupid sealed soul mark was mentioned with Rhea and her guys, and what? They just didnt show up? Are they not a thing any more? Why didn't these guys get them too, especially since they were so prominent in the first 4 books? It wasn't even mentioned.
Then it was mentio ed she had the mark of a fury, but I suppose it's invisible? And why didnt they think about helping her with powers until literally the final battle, which shr didn't even use them in, anyway?
Why were the guys so pissed that she didnt go with them when she was sixteen? I understood what she was saying to them when she shut the door in their face, so I don't get why none of them did.
This one just had too many holes. I am glad for the closure, though. If this book wasnt here, that would have been a really awkward thing for Harmonia to get picked up, and never really seen again.
The series overall was pretty good, I enjoyed it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a sort of side story about Rhea's friend Harmonia.
Minus 1 point for using this line: "I release the breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding."
This was a satisfying conclusion to Harmonia's conflict that was left off in the previous book. I did feel like Malik, Talon, and Alexi had a lot more potential and could have gone deeper, however I suppose for the sake of keeping this at 1 story there couldn't be too much detail. This just made them feel a bit stereotypical, particularly Talon being very play-boy teasedere and Alexi being a typical alpha-hole. Malik I felt was the least stereotypical, but again didn't have a lot of depth.
I also noticed that there were certain character traits that were not kept straight with this book. Rhea is described as having brown eyes in this book, which is wild because in the previous 4 books there was so much emphasis and discussion on Rhea's blue "sapphire" eye color. Why spend so much time discussing this if its just going to be forgotten? This seems like a very simple editing correction.
The sealed souls significance between furies also seems to get brushed under the rug, along with the fact that these guys have been pining for a girl for 7 years then lock her in a cage and forget to feed her. I almost lost it all here.
I have to get this out of the way first. I'm so ticked at those 3 for blaming Harmonia for saying no all those years ago. First she was 16 years old and they were 20-22. Second they gave her ZERO indication they felt anything but friendship for her when she always felt more. That said how can they possibly blame her for saying no? Of course she wants to be wanted for herself and not because they NEED her to complete their souls. She wanted love and felt she deserved it and she absolutely does. Also, she does go back the next day to talk to them but they are gone. So, it made me mad they blamed her for anything. She was technically still a kid and they were adults like wtf man? Okay I got over it sorta quickly but I needed to say it. This book I really enjoyed but I feel that it could have been done a little better. It's almost rushed sometimes and then it's slow. A little choppy in the beginning plot wise. It came together well by the end sorta. I just think Harmonias book could have flowed better than it was written. I think the author could have easily done this as a trilogy because everyone loved Harmonia and she and the boys have a lot to say. I wanted to know more about the boys and we don't get much. Squeezing it into 1 book although not bad it was disappointing.
Having been taken by the furies in “Fearless Souls”, Harmonia finds herself living with the Furies in another city. She has a past with the three males, and she is hopeful that she also has a future with them, but first they have to learn how to communicate…
Harmonia, as we know, is a fantastic character. She’s sweet and bubbly, but far tougher than that comes across, and she proves it multiple times in this book! Alexi is her angry alphahole, Talon the joker, while Malik is the emotional one. We get to know them all, first as they were as children, which gives us a lot of insight into them as adults.
This was a fun conclusion to the Saints Academy series, as Harmonia gets her happy ending, and we see just why the furies wanted her. Because it is the final book in the series, even though it is its own story, it’s not a standalone as it does continue storylines begun in Rhea’s tale. It’s an engrossing story, all on its own however, with more interesting characters, as well as a few cameos from those we’ve already met. This is a must read for anyone who has read the rest of the Saints Academy series (you really shouldn’t skip it), and an enjoyable read for RH/Academy fantasy fans out there.
I was so excited to read Harmonias story and it did not disappoint. This book really does have it all. Drama, tension, sexual chemistry, twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down.
Harmonia has been one of my favourites from the start so to find out more about her past and her relationship with the men she is meant for was great. She really is a sassy, strong badass but we got to see a more shy, uncertain side of her too. The guys are all so different yet all perfect for her. Alexi is grumpy, stubborn and hot headed, Talon is flirty and fun and Malik is the sweet, deep one. I liked that they all had history even though it is the cause of some tension at the start. Once everything is resolved though they really are the perfect harem. My only negative is that I would have like to know more about the guys pasts.
I loved that we also got to see Rhea and her guys a couple of times throughout this book.
Overall, this was a great book and I hope we get to see more of the Saints Academy world in the future.
Second chance, fated mates, yes please. It’s normally so hard for me to get into side character books. But I loved how the story continued. We learned more about the furies And the world in general. I loved that we got more of Harmonia. The relationship she had with her mother was adorable. It was a solid enjoyable read and a good overall finish to the series. The spice was good. My only reason for the 3 stars was that I was hoping a few things would be answered that weren’t from the main series so I was still left with a few unanswered questions. And a few story annoyances with Nyx. And the ending felt abrupt. It had a HEA I just wanted more of one. But that very much is a personal opinion.
But it still was a story I very much enjoyed and would read again. It was just a few small annoyances that cut into my enjoyment here and there. I still would recommend this series as a whole ☺️
dnfed at 40% no where near the other books and how interesting. Loved how Rhea was her own person and didn't have instant love with all the guys and even the "bad" boy Khaos still wasn't as bad as stupid Alexi (?) hated him he loves her but locked her in a cage with no food or water???? the two other guys aren't any better for letting it happen sealing souls within the first half with a character that is barley a character 😭😭 she is just become a airhead when in the main books she was an awesome best friend and badass (breaking her own hand btw???) and in this book she is.... so annoying edit to add: i hate how she was blaming herself for saying no to them when she was 16 and they were 22???? and it was just cuz they wanted more powers age gap is so unnecessary
Kindle. Regardless of having issues with the writing style for Rhea and her men in the first four books. I figured I would read Harmonia’s story since it was just a stand-alone and hopefully lack some of the problems I had with the series.
I liked the pace of this plot I think it worked better with the writing set up and came to fruition better being a shorter read. Liked the dynamic with the guys and Harmonia and that there was more dialogue regarding the relationship due to existing history. Love obsessive men and. HEA. Overall an alright read kept me interested enough to finish got pretty cheesey toward end.
I’m glad Harmonia got her own book. I’m also glad it was one book and not dragged over four books. Unfortunately it still fell a bit short for me. The beginning was promising with the flashbacks and then hating her, but I got whiplash from them completely changing their mind. I also wasn’t fully paying attention to Redvellions storyline. Although I did like how Rhea and the elites came in at the end.
I am so happy that I made the decision to read Harmonia's book, despite not liking the last book. Alexi, Talon, and Malik are incredible, and together with Harmonia, they make a beautiful couple. I wish I had seen more scenes of them with Harmonia in the past, more explanations of each one's past, but overall, I really liked the book, and it made the conclusion of the Saint Academy series a thousand times better."
Heartless Souls is book five in the series Saints Academy by author KC Kean. An amazing story for the end of an equally amazing series. Wishing there was more - maybe Cassandra could get a book?? Anywho, this is all Harmonia’s story along with her three absolute drool worthy males. Lots of “pasts” involved - some heartache- a little retribution and a whole lot of spiciness. Enjoy!!
I would give this a 3.5 stars if I could. It was not at all close to fulfilling my need like the previous four books did. I was expecting more out of this book because Harm was a big personality. She had that but not as much in this book. I felt that it was rushed with the guys. Also the action was lacking in this book as well. The big thing I loved was her gift from Pandora’s Box!! That was totally bad a$$!!
