After reading two stories in Laura Greenwood's Jinx series in a row I wanted more of the same, but was up to date with the Jinx series at that moment, then I remembered this series and decided to continue it. As this series has a similar vibe as the Jinx series that worked well. Seth is about two gods who start dating through a dating site, but they both think the other is human. Eventually they find and then have to decide whether they want to keep dating.

This was a nice and light read. It was interesting how they are both gods, but don't realize the other is a god as well at first. It was fun to see their banter over text before they met each other in real life and I thought it was interesting how they met on a dating app. There is a bit of conflict when they meet in real life and figure out the other is a god and didn't reveal that, but I liked how this didn't drag on and got resolved pretty quickly.

This book also has some progression for the plot line surrounding the Sons of Seth that were causing trouble in the first book, but it's only a small bit of this book. I liked how the couple of the first book played a role in this book and one of the characters for the next book gets introduced as well.

Despite liking this book I just didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Everything was nice enough, but just lacked that little bit of extra. I liked the couple and their romance, but something about it just didn't work for me as much as I had hoped.

To summarize: This was a light and easy read featuring two gods who start dating through a dating app not knowing the other is a god as well. I liked these two together and was glad the conflict didn't drag on. There's more of the couple from the first book which was nice and a slight bit of progression with the Sons of Seth plot line. Despite liking this book, it just wasn't as good as I had hoped and something was missing to fully pull me into the story.

Having had no luck in love at the speed dating, Mehmet is fed up. As she chats away to her friend Bastet, she gets her to look over her dating app on her phone. They have a laugh at her name, Merry and Bastet says she doesn't think it's all that great but Mehmet says she wants to keep it. They go through some dating apps and she finds a one that she likes. She marks Saul and hopes to hear from him. They start texting each other but what they don't is that both of them are using an alias to hide their true identity. Mehmet is keen to meet up with Saul but Saul keeps avoiding committing to a meet. Saul is really Seth but he is fed up dating other gods and would prefer to continue hiding his true identity. During an outing with her friends they are passing photos around one of which is Seth. She thinks he looks familiar but isn't sure, then her phone pings and as she looks at the message from Saul she 'bigs' up his picture on her phone only to realise that Saul is Seth! Finally Saul agrees on a date and they decide to go the DeLux Cafe. But they both end up signing up for the speed dating event. They meet at the table and a few words are exchanged and Seth leaves. She follows him and they try to sort things out. But will they be able to sort out their differences and learn to trust each other and find their HEA? Another great read in this series. Enjoy.

Menhit is feeling a little sorry for herself because she's having a terrible time finding a date. She's even been to the DeLux Cafe and has taken part in the human speed dating, to no avail. She's lonely and is losing hope that she'll ever find someone special. When her friend asks her if she's ever tried one of the online dating sites, she needs some more information to sign up. Going with her human name, Merry, she's amazed at how fun it is to make a profile and to scroll through all of her "possible" matches. Seth is a god who doesn't like to rely on anyone else and would be completely happy if he never had to associate with any of them, as long as he has his dog, Tut, a reminder of his glory days. Seth, who goes by Saul, has a secret that he hasn't shared with anyone. He's been communicating with whom he thinks is a human named Merry, after matching on a dating app. He knows better than to get involved with a human, but he's been alone for too long. Much of the story is told in texts or phone calls and they are clever and so witty! I have to admit that sweet Tut stole the show. Speed Dating with the Denizens of the Underworld is a series of novelas based on gods, witches, demons and all sorts of paranormals and are a joy to read.

Seth is one god who definitely seems to have some trust issues going on. He has reached a point where he is so lonely that he is tempted into having a relationship with a human, no matter that their lifespan is but a flash of lightning in comparison to his. So he tries a dating app and there he meets Merry. She is everything that he could have wanted except for the point where she tells him that she knows exactly who he is and has for some time. What other secrets has she been hiding from him, can he even trust her at all? Menhit as just seen her best friend accept that she is now and forever with the god of her heart. Which is great and all but it does leave Menhit somewhat out in the cold. She has generally been alone for centuries but somehow just lately it has become an oppressive blanket and she wants to not feel alone. Speed dating didn't really bring her anyone special so maybe a dating app will? What's the worst that could happen to a goddess? Possibly meeting the god of her dreams?

Loved this story. Seth has given up on all the Gods and Goddesses, he rarely sees them and has not talked to them for centuries. When he finally decides to put himself out there he decides to do it the human way and signs up with a dating app. And that is where he meets Menhit. But he calls himself Saul and she calls herself Merry. As these two talk on this app and get to know each other you can see they are falling in love and don't even know it. Loved their by play and conversations, just great. This is a very well written Denizens of the Underworld and I loved the play between these two. Wonderful love story.

I highly enjoyed this read. Menhit has been lonely for awhile so she has been going to the Speed dating event at DeLux Cafe. It seems that those encounters left her feeling like she's missing something. So she tries online dating and finds Saul. Seth is looking for companionship and finds Merry. But it seems their both hiding a pretty big secret. This was a sweet budding romance with a few bumps in the road. Laura did an amazing job with this storyline. I highly recommend this read and this whole series.

Two gods find decades leads to loneliness and in order to move on you must be willing to put yourself out there. Menhit has been trying to meet others but with no luck. Seth has also been hiding due to gossip and is trying the online approach. Under their "human" names they meet and hit it off... now the face to face annnnnnnnd splat! not a very good meeting at that. Lots of effort on both sides and a second chance and things are off and running! A great story! Looking forward to the next speed dating event!

Wow this is book 22 in Speed Dating with the Denizens of the Underworld with all of these amazing authors and their fabulous stories and this is Seth’s and Menhit’s story. Seth talks to a woman on a human dating site they slowly fall in love both don’t give their right names instead they use Saul and Merry, they both go to speed dating at the DeLux Cafe and things don’t go well at first cause they are both so stubborn but eventually they make an effort and love blooms between them. There is so much more going on in this entertaining and wonderful story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book.

A very enjoyable story I read that's about Seth/Saul, Egyptian God of Chaos and Storms, a recluse and Menhit/Merry, Egyptian War Goddess, who chats on a dating app her friend, Bastet recommended, with Saul. Hanging out with her friends who are passing around old photos, Menhit sees a photo of Seth who looks familiar and realizes Saul is Seth whom they're looking for. After chatting awhile, they agree to meet at the speed dating event at DeLux Café. What occurs is another wonderful story in this series I devoured. The characters were personable, and their romance story was engaging in this copy I received and that i volunteer to read and review.

Such a cute story they both decided to try online dating. Menhit and Seth both didn’t want to disclose who they truly were. They met online and developed a close relationship. Menhit realized she was talking to Seth, but still didn’t want to say who she was. For their first date, speed dating, that changed it all. I enjoyed the scenes with Menhit and Bastet. I also enjoyed the continued mystery from Bastet’s story. There is a lot going on in this engaging story. Seth and Menhit are two lonely Gods who join a human dating app and end up at a speed dating event. Even though neither Seth nor Menhit is looking for a hookup with other Gods but they end up finding the right one for them while pretending to be human. I loved that they both used other names on the dating app and fell in love. The writing is well done and the story is entertaining with humor, drama, and a hea. This is a great addition to the multi-author series and I look forward to reading the rest of the books. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Menhit has been alone except for a few friends for centuries. She meets people all the time but it's not the same. Seth has been living alone basically hiding due to accusations against him. Several knew they were lies yet enough believed that living normal was hard. Both gods set up human names on a dating site, and are dragged into eachother. But can they get past the identity issues to spend time with the person they were texting.

Seth and Merry's story is fun and enjoyable. This story is quite original and unique, which made it an Amazing Story, with them truly finding each other.

This was a decent read with Seth and Menhit. They are two lonely god looking for something or someone. Seth has his own demons to deal with, so he stays away from other Gods. Menhit is looking for something more, but is also tasked with looking for someone. Fate plays her role with these two and is determined to get them together.

Speed dating at the DeLux never fails the paranormals and immortals once they find their mates. But, all relationships have their struggles and Menhit and Seth are no different. This is steamy but full of drama too as each character must face what is keeping them from opening up to the true love. I enjoyed reading about the gods and goddesses finding their mates in this series.

When the speed dating event did not thrill Menhit, she joined a dating app, there she found a match. Seth found it hard to date when his past haunted him, but on the app, he could be who he needed to be.

I loved that both Seth and Menhit pretended to be someone other than themselves, only to find what they wanted to avoid is what they found.

Every time I read a Speed Dating book, I enjoy it. This one introduced me to the Nubian goddess of war, Menhit. Her chancy romance with Seth, Egyptian god of storms and chaos, was interesting to follow. Would the fact that they're both gods - when both were trying to avoid dating gods - ruin things?

As usual, the side characters are just as fun to meet. Bastet, Ptah, Baal, and the dog Tut, all charmed.

Sweet, Stubborn, & Fun
If you enjoy Egyptian and Nubian mythology or Bastet then this is must read. We get Seth & Menhit's story. It's different than the others. You'll see alot of cameos, have laughs, and oh boy, it's alot of fun. Definitely a great addition to the series!.

Seth didn’t know who he was chatting too online until he meets her. The magnetic pull they have for each other is too strong for them, but he is certainly stubborn so she has to lead the way. Fun read I thought and the characters were amazing. Well written and kept me glued

Bastet talks Mehnit into signing up for a dating app where she connects with Saul or Seth. One thing leads to another, and ta-da! This story is funny and romantic with a small amount of steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.
