LISA Sweet, sweet freedom. It comes in the form of a crappy apartment between San Remo’s seedy South Side and the more cosmopolitan Downtown. But it’s still freedom. I’m sick of being the poor little rich girl who got sick at college and lost most of her hearing. I’m ready to stand on my own two feet. I just hope my parents can see that. I have three months to prove myself. I’m more than up to the challenge. Here I come, world. What could possibly go wrong?
PALMER The Pines has a new resident. She’s the sexiest, most innocent woman I have ever laid eyes on. I used to think sweet wasn’t worth the mess it made when it melted. I’m swiftly reassessing my opinion. Tooth-achingly sweet just became my favorite flavor. Too bad my interest has brought other attention to her. Unwanted attention in the form of jealous, bitchy groupies. They are dangerously close to crossing the line, and I won’t be responsible for what happens when they do.

I absolutely love when the drama comes from outside of the relationship! Having an h fight the H almost the entire book is not for me and this h was perfect - Lisa was into Palmer and wasn’t afraid of him knowing it. Palmer takes Lisa to the tattoo parlor to get his name tattooed but doesn’t tell Lisa what’s going on. When she puts two and two together she’s just… purely happy. It was so refreshing.
There is some nasty OW bullying and I REALLY hope she gets more karma in a future book! And there are times I really wanted to throat punch Merch for being insensitive towards Lisa. The club really frustrated me in regards to this club girl drama. Palmer was justified in his anger for sure.
Lisa lost most of her hearing when she was in collage and her family gave her 3 months to prove she can live on her own, she needed to find a job.
When she first meets Palmer she is scared because he is a biker.
When Palmer first sees Lisa share just walks past him when he tries to talk to her, he thinks she ignored him.
LIsa gets a job at a cafe that Palmer but when one of the club girls come in and lisa does not hear until she pushers her, that's when Palmer finds out about her hearing, he does not like the way the MC club members makes fun of her and ends up kissing her, and that's the start of them seeing each other, but everything seems to want to get between the pair especially the MC club girls,
Can they work thought everything against them and feel in love
Now Palmer in previous books has been…..interesting. I was very ready for his book since he was a bit of a dog, respectful for the most part though, in prior installments. Omg, I was unprepared for how sweet but dominant (in the bedroom) he was with Lisa. Lisa isn’t the typical heroine and has significant hearing loss, it made her both unique and lovely to read about. She has a silent type of strength and everything she goes through just makes her wonderful To read about. The two of them together are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I can’t say enough good things!
3.75 stars. The H’s in this series are oddly sweet Neanderthals. They come on really strong, overbearing and bossy but once they are committed to their h, they make me believe in their HEAs.
I had a hard time reading about the bullying by the groupies (especially Joey) and can’t believe the club didn’t do more to them. I’ll probably read Merch’s book to see if there’s any comeuppance for them. That being said, I really didn’t like Merch in this book, so we’ll see if he can redeem himself.
Lisa has caught the eye of Palmer. Joey a club chick is not happy and makes it known every chance she gets to let Lisa know. Lisa is a special heroine with hearing loss but doesn't let it deter her. Even when being bullied by Joey. Palmer made me mad at times because he just wouldn't take the step and claim her per their club rules. 🙄 anyway it was a nice change with Lisa being strong and didn't dwell on her "disability". She remained independent and strong.
Looking for a good MC book with touch her and die vibes , then this book is for you. I loved how Palmer did everything for Lisa even when she didn't know. That Joey ugh, what I wouldn't have love to see her get tossed around!
Great read, absolutely loved Palmer and Lisa’s story ❤️❤️❤️ she has some rough treatment to put up with from club girls and her parents, didn’t like the way the MC officers dealt with club girl drama but Palmer had it covered as did Lisa in the end. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
