Danish-born Laga loves her position handling livestock at the Viking settlement. When looking for a stray goat, Laga takes shelter in one of the many caves which riddle the Point. There are strange runes etched on the walls. Worried this might be a sign of imminent danger, Laga decides to stake out the caves. Little does she know she’s the one being watched.
Gunnar is a Norseman, enemies of the Danes. His kind had camped at this point before, it was the perfect spot to spy on the Danes. The Norse settlement is further down the rocky coast and having the Danes so near feels like a threat. On his way back to report on the suspicious yet attractive Warrior Maiden, Gunnar slips and falls off the cliff.
When he realizes his rescuer is none other than the Danish maid, Gunnar wonders if the gods are playing him for a fool.
This is the first story in The Viking Settlers series.

Excellent , as always this author didn’t disappoint. Good solid characters and the telling of the story flows well. Good description has you right there amid the world of the vikings and their history. The loyalty Lars and Laga have of each other the backbone leading the way
I received an advance copy of the book and my review is my own words voluntarily given
Well that certainly was a good story. Lars, Laga and Gunnar. I’m glad they worked together. I read the 3rd story “Burger”already so I know of a couple that made it. We shall definitely see in the next book. 💜💜💜💜💜
Gunnar finds himself at the mercy of Laga when he falls while spying on the Danes. Will it be his downfall. Laga, Lars and Gunnar kept me glued to the pages of this action-packed story. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Solid 3 stars, really tempted to give it 2. I mean, it was fine. There’s only so much you can do in 55 pages though, so.. Maybe this would be better if it was actually longer so you could go into a bit more depth
A good start to the Viking settlers series. This is the story of Gunnar and Laga. The met accidentally but had to keep it secret. It was a good story from start to finish. Different take on Vikings. I really liked it.
