I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story, the characters were strong and they really made the story come alive. I laughed and I cried in this book. Kat was the typical single mum who had to work hard to provide for her daughter and when she saw some strange goings on next door she thought that she was going to have to involve the police. Jax and his friends had grown sick of being recognised everywhere in Vegas so moved to the Mid East to live a life as normal men. To make things interesting there was a bit to see who would fall in love first. Not only a Kat and Jax attracted to each other but they have a lot of fun together. There is a happily ever after and you will love the antics that these to get up to.

This was a slow burn, angsty read with some fairytale elements that had me unable to put this down. I am a sucker for a single mom romance so I was already half way in love with the story from the beginning and then the author throws Jax and Kat together and I was a goner. The story is funny, sweet, and with the steam you expect from this author. I also loved seeing past characters and glimpses of some new ones.
Absolutely Must read, this is the second book of Alexia in this series, I thought the first book was the best, sorry this one steal the show. Wow a magical story between a young hard working single mom & an handsome fireman will take your breath away, but this one is out of this world & you get to live it through their eyes. Well written, it takes you into their private feelings with all the twists & turns that comes with it. The Amazing chemistry between Kat & Jax will make your heart melt. The drama keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last page. I highly recommended it. Start with the first book, you won’t regret it, And keep cold beverage near. Thanks to the author for providing my review copy.
This is a fantastic book! Jax and his friends are amazing. As Jax adjusts to the new life that him and his friends decided to create away from the glamour of Vegas he finds that his neighbor and her cute baby could be all he never knew he needed. Kat is sweet and honest. She lives her life working hard to support her baby girl. Kat and Jax’s story is full of humor and strength. You can’t help but fall in love with them. You definitely don’t want to miss their story!
A bumpy yet worthwhile journey to an emotional HEA
The second in a series, this book takes us back to the beginning again and retells the time points from the POV of Jax and Kat.
An unabashed lover of all things women, nevertheless Jax is finding his Vegas lifestyle less satisfying than previously and so when a change is mooted, and a bet laid down he takes all his childhood dreams and recreates them in a small mid west town with his 4 best friends.
We already followed the story of Maverick and Ember, and get to glimpse again some parts of this from the other parties point of view but Jax story definitely has a life of its own. Skilfully weaving in characters from her other series (you’ll be chasing those books down too eagerly wanting to read them), the story has everything you need, emotion, drama, heat and the most adorable 7month old baby girl with a wannabe daddy substitute wrapped around her finger.
I loved the characters and how strong Kat was when faced with a life she hadn’t expected. Embracing her future and doing everything she can to make a life for herself and her daughter, despite all obstacles in her way absolutely endeared her to the reader. Jax, hot fireman / adult play enhancement toy entrepreneur…..what’s not to love.
His fall was fast and hard and his adoration for baby Lainey swoon worthy.
Given they found each other quite early in the book the anticipation / dread of the challenge that was coming made this page turning book a very compelling read but despite the emotional drama, the hea was a beautiful wrap up.

A most surprising turn of events when Jax meets Kat. The very beginning of this book I thought he was arrogant and cocky with his rules and able to walk away so easily. Thought this was a very well written storyline as Kat has so many hardships that are put against her from so many people. Loved how Jax showed his true character to Kat as being a softie with her daughter and her when he falls for her hard. I thought his family was colorful and full of love and teasing. The ending was epic as he went all out to bring her dreams come true for his Princess.
I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.
Jax, the second of the Billionaire friends who move to Kanas City, went down hard and fast in this book to single mother Kat. The zero to one hundred in a nano second nature of playing happy families makes this story move along at a really quick clip. While there are some anxious moments that cause a rise in tension and knock the relationship a little off kilter, this is largely a light, enjoyable read. Alexia always does such a great job of dragging you into the story and making you empathise with these likeable characters.
Another fantastic book by Alexia Chase. I love the premise around this series and these characters are fabulous. I really enjoy Alexia’s writing because she does an amazing job of bringing the characters and their surroundings to life. I get totally lost in her books and can’t put them down. Plus the heat factor - Yas!!
Kat and Jax are smokin hot. Kat is a single mom doing the best she can, working two jobs to provide for her and her sweet little girl. Her step monster is trying to hijack her inheritance. Jax moves in next door and his goal is to escape!his crazy life in Vegas, stay under the radar and he is definitely not looking for a relationship. As they cross paths, with a little help from friends, the attraction is undeniable. Will Kat’s fear of her ex or Jax’s fear of being left keep the apart?
A wonderful, heartwarming story filled with fierce protection, love, understanding and lots of heat.
I requested an arc and I am providing my honest review.
Great romantic read that will leave you yearning for more. We all need a Jax in our lives! He’s the whole package – A sex toy entrepreneur who works part time as a fireman and, of course, gorgeous! Kat is a single mother with a darling little girl, who swoons over her new 'neighbour' from the start. Both he and Kat leap off the pages as people you’d love to get to know. I couldn’t put this book down and the steamy scenes are to die for. Jax and his billionaire friends relocate from Las Vegas in an attempt to live as ‘normal’ guys. They bet each other they can each find a woman who isn’t after their money and will love them for who they are. OMG – I really hope this is the first book in a series about all four of the guys! I am soooo buying the rest if it is! A must for all us hopeful romantics everywhere.
Jax Logan is one of the 4 billionaires from Las Vegas that picked Kansas City to get away from it all and where no one knows who they are and what they're worth. He's also starting a new business-The Ultimate Boyfriend Company. Kat Graham is a single mom raising her baby daughter, working 2 jobs and just trying to stay ahead of her jerk of her baby daddy and her evil step mom and sisters. She sees Jax in the hallway where she lives and thinks he's dealing what she doesn't know but thinks he's a criminal. Neither are looking for a relationship and Jax has his own rules regarding hookups and Kat doesn't have time. But living next door to each other, the attraction is there and her daughter Lainey really likes Jax. Will they find happiness together or will their pasts continue to be a problem?
I'm really enjoying this series and can't wait to see who is next. 5 stars
This was such a great read. His love for Laniey, swoon. Towards the last 10 chapters I was so engrossed I stayed up reading when I knew I had to wake up at 5am. The "BOX" was full of surprises. The last three chapters were my favorite. Even though I did not read book 1, I still loved this one.

I really enjoyed these characters, Jax and Kat, both suffering from real emotional damage from previous relationships and Kat having suffered from physical damage (trigger warning for past sexual assault). Jax has put in place a three orgasm rule to protect himself but his attraction to Kat is so deep and immediate that it imperiled straight away. Kat is trying to protect her child and raise her alone after the baby’s sperm donor has disavowed any responsibility. The relationship they build has to overcome some serious challenges but is hot and engaging.
The story is dual POV, well written, and a lot of fun to read. The characters are engaging and connect with previous characters the author has written as well as providing many potential future characters. I’m looking forward to seeing where the author takes this! I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review.
This was such an exciting and emotional story. I started out not really liking Jax, I thought he was a bit of an a$$, but he quickly grew on me and the way he was with Lainey was so sweet. His chemistry with Kat was so great and the steam they generated was so hot that my kindle almost had a meltdown. I really didn’t want the story to end.
This book definitely will have you fanning yourself because it is so hot. Jax moves to Kansas City to get out of the lime light of Vegas. Kat is a single mother who is just trying to live her life. What happens when you have a sexy as sin neighbor. You need to read it to find out.
Every now and then I just need a little pick me up and I know what author I can go to. I enjoyed reading about these two characters. I felt bad at first about Jax and Kat's past problems but were able to work on it to get better with one another.
What do you get when you combine a billionaire playboy, a single mom and sex toys? This swoon worthy, sexy story with lots of steamy situations and a perfect man who loves kids and knows how to please a woman! I loved reading this book! I couldn’t put it down—I had to see what sweet thing Jax was going to do next!

This is the last time I’m reading something tik tok recommended. This book is so bad that it could not get worse, I think it’s one of the worst I’ve ever read.
Another great story in this series. Kat is a single mother working hard to make a good life for her daughter and herself. Jax and his friends have moved from Vegas to get away from the spotlight. He moves in next door to Kat and from the moment they meet, sparks fly. This was an engaging story that kept me reading until the book was finished. The storyline was emotional and the characters were real and believable. I liked seeing previous characters and meeting new ones. A must read. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Single mom Kat is surrounded by a bunch of aholes. No wonder she falls for Jax so quickly. Her daughter is completely adorable and Jax falls for them both.
Good read with decent characters and storyline, 5 best friends finding love. A detour toward the end with stupid drama just for drama🤷 imo, knocked a star down for me! As well as not seeing the evil step mum and evil step sisters get their comeuppance! If you give us the reader drama throughout the book we want to see said drama( in this case the steps) get what they deserve! 2.75 stars free with K.U.✌
“He wants her. He wanted her.” The springs in the mattress depress, and I turn to see her sitting on the edge of my bed. “I told him I have audio evidence of how he talked to me at the club, but when that didn’t budge him, I told him she isn’t his.” She shrugs. “I think that did the trick. At least for now. I wish I had video evidence of when we had sex. Well, when he had sex.” On the very next page she says that there was video surveillance and that he did budge when she said she had the audio evidence. Authors Really need to learn to proofread their books or hire competent editors and proofreaders. Too many people publishing books with mistakes and inconsistencies over the past 20 years.
“Would you mind? I don’t want to use Brenda anymore. She’s not responsible enough.” I understand she was in a bind, but to leave a child with a neighbor–who does that? What would happen if she gave her to Conrad?" You know who's not responsible enough? The mother who didn't answer her phone when the babysitter called after her father was rushed to the hospital.
“I thought I was, but it wasn’t like this. It had more to do with pride–the pride of a nineteen-year-old kid. I was dating a girl when I started college. We were together for nine months. For several nights, she disappeared from my bed after I went to sleep. I asked her where she went, and she had an excuse every time. Finally, the fourth time it happened, I followed her. She was sneaking out of my bed and climbing into my roommate’s bed. They were both out, and I decided three orgasms was my limit. And I never let a woman stay with me. That way, neither one of us got attached, and I could leave any time I wanted.” That's not what we were originally told. We were told he had gotten bored of her but hadn't gotten around to breaking up with her yet. See, editors and proofreaders need to be on the fucking ball
“My pleasure. You know I love working with The Four Horsemen and The Hand of God.” It's the Greek God actually
His rule of three gets put to the test and fails epically.....Fantastically Wonderful!!!
Slaying the Player is the second book in The Sinfully Ravishing Billionaire series and what a fantastic and fun read it is. This story is about Jax Logan and Kat Graham. Jax and his three best friends, all billionaires, handsome and walking sex-on-a-stick, moved to Kansas City from Vegas to find a simpler life not based on their money. But Jax is a playboy who does not let any woman ever get close to him or let himself develop any type of feelings. Actually he has his rule of "three", and I wanted to smack him upside the head for it. Kat is a single mother to a sweet little bundle of pink deliciousness named Lainey. But her life is not exactly the way she had envisioned it would be with family that is horrible, working two jobs just to try and pay the bills, and baby daddy that does a fantastic disappearing act. So when Jax moves into the house next to Kat neither are looking for a relationship other than a friendly hello over the fence and maybe a little chat. But there is no denying these two have an electrical spark that at any moment could start a wildfire. It is Lainey who first snags Jax's cold and remote heart and starts to warm it up, as only a sweet little girl can.
This story is well written, has a wonderful story-line that had me laughing, shedding a few tears, cringing and very entertained. The characters are well developed with multiple layers that are stripped away as the story progresses. Plus the attraction between Jax and Kat is palpable and will have your Kindle smoking in the best way. This is a great addition to the series and another definite RECOMMEND READ!!!
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! This book is book two of The Sinfully Ravishing Billionaire series it appears each book will read as a standalone however, why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Jax is a sexy as all get out billionaire of four friends who moved to Kansas City for a bit to get away from it all and to be him without being recognized for his money. Also, he is starting a new business call The Ultimate Boyfriend Company. Kat is sweet, struggling working two jobs to stay above water, single mom trying to raise her daughter and staying one step ahead of her daughter father, her stepmom and sisters they are all evil. One day she sees Jax in the hallway thinking he is a drug dealer and does everything she can to avoid him, but fate has stepped in and that won’t be happing. The chemistry took them both by surprise, the magnetic pull can’t be ignored but will they give each other a chance, can she finally have some peace away from her jerk, stepmom, sisters and can she have happiness?
Pretty disappointing. I remember enjoying book one, Taming the Beast, but this one just didn’t hit for me. It’s a loose Cinderella retelling where a billionaire playboy and his friends move from Vegas to Kansas City to see who can get a woman without their money influencing them, and they bet on it. The bet isn’t a big part of this book. Kat is a young single mom and Jax is a playboy with a 3 orgasm rule. No more than 3 then the lady gets lost.
Not a huge fan of the trope “she needs a man, I need a man, a man will solve all my problems” and in this book everyone tells Kat she needs a man to fix her life. Her stepmom and stepsisters (dead dad) are villains as well as the baby Daddy. Baby daddy’s story gets resolved but I would’ve liked another scene with her awful family to tie up that part of the story.
It’s completely unrealistic that she isn’t going to even try to fight for her money from a trust. Like she works 2 jobs and relies on others a lot for child care but she wasn’t even looking at possible ways to fight for a ton of money? Also I usually don’t mind instalove but this one grates for some reason. They know each other for like a week and sleep together and practically both say I love you before his junk is even soft.
This third act breakup reason is bad. I know they usually are but this is stupid, Kat is stupid.
Not sure if I’ll read the third book. I liked the first one but this one really missed the mark for me.

Kat and Jax were hilarious! The conversations between Kat and her BFF were absolutely hilarious! I forget her friends name but I loved how unfiltered she was with Jax - she gets right to the point. The chemistry between Jax and Kat was so good. I was surprised at how quickly she let him into her pants but I'm not complaining - the spice is good and then some. I loved that Jax didn't completely shy away from his wealth because it is an important part of who he is. I like when he used his money and power to help Kat get away from her crazy ex and stepmother, she didn't get mad at him about it and fight him on it. The third act break up was annoying because I don't understand Jax's fixation on her never leaving him. Yes, he's can be upset a bit because she was leaving him a letter and disappearing, but I think is reaction was uncalled for. She was scared she was going to loose her child so she did what she thought she had to do. I loved Jax's family and how they were with Kat. Also, Jax with Kat's baby girl - swoon!!
I do wish we got to see more of Maverick and Ember. When the friends get together they're missing. I expected to see more of them to follow on their story too.
This book was... OK. Again, like the previous book, there were things I liked and things that didn't work right for me.
Editing-wise, there were definitely issues. The biggest were the new chapter starts. There were a few times that a new chapter would just start in the middle of a page right after the last one ended. Most of the time, it was a new page but there were a couple that somehow were overlooked.
Also, there was a wrong word used . The word relieve was used rather than relive, which totally messed up the sentence and pulled me from the emotion of the moment.
Story-wise, we never really find out what happens with the step-mom and -sisters. They are just left out of any ending or epilogue. It would have only taken a couple sentences.
Like the first book, this one starts ok, then suddenly, it takes a turn. He says he is going to stay away, but then he kisses her. There was no build-up, just suddenly it changed.
I don't know if I will continue the series. I haven't been too happy so far.
Jax is instantly captivated by Kat when he sees her but tries to resist when he finds out that she is a single mom. Kat tries to stay away from Jax since she had had bad experiences n the past, but it doesn’t quite work out that way. Their chemistry together is explosively sizzling steamy hot, and they can’t keep their hands off each other. Troubles from Kat’s ex and family will interfere and cause a misunderstanding that they need to work out to get to their HEA.
I really enjoyed this romance as it was good to see Jax’s softer and sweeter side, and how caring that he is. He is totally swoon-worthy when it comes to Kat’s daughter and how he treats her.
I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
Jax and his friends have moved to Kansas from Vegas to start over where no one knows anything about them. Kat is a single mother struggling to support herself and her daughter. Kat sees Jax outside her place she thinks he is a criminal. Her daughter sees nothing wrong with Jax and ends up bringing them closer. Soon things heat up between them even though neither was looking for anything. Will Jax tell Kat about who is really is? Can they have a future together?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jax & Kat's story love at first sight for both of them although Jax had his rules about women but couldn't stay away from Kat & baby Lainey. This story was full of love, hot kinky sex, amazing friends, secrets, misunderstandings, hurt, fear & happiness. This fairytale included the wicked stepmother, stepsisters, evil ex, 2 beautiful princesses loved this fairytale & the perfect Prince charming.

Alexia Chase does a great job with this storyline, and I didn't want to stop reading this one! Normally her books are shorter but I was excited this one was longer than her norm and I can't wait to read about the other three guys in the billionaire friends group. I didn't realize how great a book this was until I read two books after this one yet I couldn't get this storyline out of my head, wishing I was still reading this one! I went back and edited my review, obviously Slaying the Player is a book I would definitely recommend!!! Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.
