Angelina Kerner has made me a fan of novellas even though they’re not usually my book of choice. She has a unique ability to make you feel something for the characters she creates in a really short period of time. This was cute, sweet and light, totally ideal for this time of year.

Cat was a quirky and fun heroine, she marches to the beat of her own drum and I really liked her. I don’t want to discuss the plot because it’s so short, but the blurb gives you enough of an idea of what to expect. I will say that a little boy asking Santa for a new mommy is just about the sweetest thing ever! This was a bite sized treat of a book with warmth, humor and romance, absolutely precious.

Follow the Snowflakes is a beautiful, "feel good" story about life and love. This one is captivating, elegant, and cheerful. If you love Holiday Hallmark movies, then you will love this one!

I fell in love with this one! My mom and I have always loved watching those "feel good" Holiday Hallmark movies together, and this one feels like one of those happily ever after movies! It is short and sweet, and straight to the point!

The writing was very elegantly done. The imagery, and descriptive writing style, was so enchanting and lyrical. I felt like I was in the story, and could see and smell all the food described! I was immediately drawn in, and felt like I got the character development I needed in the short amount of time it took to read this

I loved Cat's character! She was beautiful, strong, hard working, and determined. She was a good person, and even though she was lonely, she never really let it get to her. I could see myself being friends with her in real life!

And, I really loved Hunter. He was a perfect gentleman. He had a few surprises up his sleeve, but he was a morally good person, and he was hard working and caring!

This one is perfect for Holiday movie lovers. It is perfect for short story lovers, and it is perfect for anyone looking for that heartwarming "happily ever after" tale! If you are in the "Hallmark movie" mood, then you need to read this!

Are you looking for a quick interesting read this holiday? Look no more! This short novella is one that was one that fit the bill for me. In a romance filled book that kept you wondering how it would turn out, there was a few twists in the plot. I enjoyed the characters and I thought there could have been more details, but I had enough to get the idea of what was going on. I appreciated the opportunity to read this one. Thank you!

What a perfect little Christmas story. Short, sweet and beautiful. Truely heartwarming. What Christmas is all about. It may only be 89 pages long but this is a brilliant Christmas story you should all settle down with for an hour, you won’t regret it. I adored Cat’s character and little Lawrence bless him alongside his dad Hunter. I loved how fate made everything come together at this beautiful time of year.

Follow The Snowflakes is written well, easy to read and set out well with diary entries between each chapter which I liked. I have nothing to fault with this story. Cheered me right up, a feel good story perfect for those cold nights which is why I awarded an excellent five stars. I would highly recommend this story to you all. Perfect read for Christmas 2017. Enjoy.

Follow the Snowflakes is a beautiful Christmas novella! Everything about this little page turner is lovely. The love story within is light hearted, wholesome, gripping, and heartstring tugging. It's the type of romance that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages, from teens to seniors. It has a classy modern feel to it, which is in my opinion wonderfully authentic.
Cat is a great main character. She's a down to earth, multi-talented, pleasant, and independent gal. Unfortunately, up until the present day at 28 years old she's thus far in life been utterly unlucky in love. The book jumps in right in the middle of a break up just before the holidays. Cat doesn't want her mom to find out about it, so she's trying to avoid and juggle seeing her family for Christmas. Her best friend Regina is an elementary school teacher with an adorable student who's daddy was recently widowed. The child had written a very touching letter to Santa as a school assignment. In the letter he asked for a mommy to make his daddy happy again.
Regina suggests setting Cat up with the dad, yet she is reluctant and would rather avoid the awkwardness of being set up blindly. Cat winds up a witness to a hit and run accident, luckily so too because she is able to help out the victim, Hunter, who happened to be on his way to the hospital at the time of the accident.
Hunter is a very handsome charismatic guy and the two wind up helping and leaning on one another throughout the Christmas season. They are both in charge of work holiday parties, and in a bind. They're able to combine forces and mix the parties as one.
I love the pull that Cat and Hunter have toward one another, and I love the way everything weaves together so seamlessly. It is a very light read, perfect for a one sitting self-pamper to set the mood for an uplifting Christmas spirit.
I'd like to thank the author as well as R&R Book Tours for the free E'book in exchange for my honest review.

A heartfelt Christmas story that proves miracles can happen even to the most broken of hearts. Cat discovered that her newfound boyfriend actually cheated on her. So her bestfriend Regina subtly set her up with one of her student's dad who seemed like a good catch. But Cat wasn't quite interested.

Cat was being a Good Samaritan when she helped out a man (Hunter Zane) who was hit and ran by a truck. Her good deeds were on a roll as she further helped Hunter with his company's holiday party and helped bring him to the doctor for checkup. Was Hunter Zane worth all the troubles she'd been to? Will she ever find love again after so many heartaches?

I love how this short story was on point and fast paced. It isn't melodramatic, but it is full of heart and compassion. I like Cat so much, she's got a good head on her shoulders and I loved her even more when she helped out a boy with his Transformer. I love that she started writing entries to her diary, too!

Hunter Zane on the other hand, was a great man and a really good catch for Cat. I love how they fit each other's puzzles and how easily they got compatible with each other. The whole story got me going for a good one and half hour and all the positive vibes put me to a good mood.

Thumbs up to Angelina Kerner for spreading the holiday cheers and reminding us to follow the snowflakes!

Follow the Snowflakes is a short romance novella about Cat. The story is based in Illinois. Cat has a good job, nice life but as always something is missing in her life. Her friend, Regina, offers to match her up with someone she knows but Cat is still heartbroken by the breakup she’s just had. Somehow, she manages to get out of the setup and save someone in the snow, from a car accident. The man she saves is wearing a wedding band and has a child. Things begin to unravel for Cat as she faces fate with some obstacles on the way.

The story is in a diary shape form narration. The days and conversations are from Cat to herself, letting everyone else in on her perspective of life. As she has some emotional decisions to make, fate really plays a great part in deciding her happiness. Sometimes, things happen in our lives where we don’t understand why. In this case, I enjoyed reading about how Cat’s life was created and the relationship she had with Regina.

There was not much world setting or character development since the novella is a diary, but what did exist was enough to provide a solid foundation for the plot and storyline. I appreciated the thought and care given towards this short story, and it was clear that the author had successfully attempted to create a sweet Christmas Story.

I recommend this book to romance readers and people who enjoy a Christmas Tale.

I really enjoyed the spirit of this story.

It can be very difficult to find ones personal balance in different places. The way Cat brings her cultural heritage to others is beautiful. While still being willing to help them celebrate their own. This openness and kindness is inspirational. Her dedication to hard work and helping others is also refreshing. Very worth the read.

So the story opens with Cat finding out her perfect man turns out to be married to another woman. She doesn’t want to go to her parents alone so her best friend shows her a letter from a boy in her class who wants a new mum for Christmas and suggests she meets the dad and see how it goes. Cat is reluctant especially when she meets a handsome stranger after witnessing his car crash.

This is a short feel good Christmas story. The main character Cat is a very sweet and I really wanted her to find the man of her dreams.

Cat also has a few interesting traditions, like celebrating Yule or the winter solstice as it’s otherwise known, which is a Pagan holiday. I know I’m not a regular reader of Christmas stories but this is probably a little unusual but I found it quite fun.

I have to be honest, it could have done with a bit more editing (there’s a few typos in there). Also I found the diary excepts a little redundant as it was just pretty much repeating what had just happened in the chapter. And there was a lot of telling the reader what was happening instead of describing the scene which made it feel a little rushed in places.

Overall a light and fluffy read perfect for getting you into the Christmas spirit.

Cat thought she had the perfect guy until her best friend, Regina points out and engagement notice with Cat’s boyfriend and his fiancé. Now Cat is worried that she is going to be single for another year. But Regina tells her about one of her student’s Dear Santa letter asking for a new mommy.

Regina tries to setup Cat but things fall through on Cat’s end. But on the way home, Cat witnesses a hit and run and helps a clearly sick man to the hospital. They form a sweet friendship and Cat is very interested in Hunter but he has a wife and Cat was just badly burned with her last boyfriend.

This is the sweetest little Christmas story. It could easily be a Hallmark Christmas movie. Cat is sweet and gets a bad deal with her now former boyfriend. But she stumbles upon Hunter and starts falling for him. But Hunter has his own story, including the sweetest little bow, Lawrence.

This is the perfect little read that will leave you warm and fuzzy and ready for Christmas.

Cat mentions Hallmark Channel Christmas movies a few times and you get the feel that that was the direction Kerner was going with her story. It’s fun, lighthearted, and predictable, but still so very enjoyable.

After the latest bad surprise with her latest relationship, Cat is ready to write off men for a while. Which, of course, means that they come out of the woodwork – her friend has a widower dad that might be a good match and she meets a guy at the scene of an accident. (Think you can figure out where things go from here? Yeah, but it is still an adventure.)

A relatively new author, Kerner still has a little growing to do as a writer but she has a ton of promise. The characters are entertaining, the story flows well, and I found myself looking forward to seeing how it all came together. All a mark of a good book in my opinion!

Received a free copy of this book from the author.

This is a cute sweet Christmas tale. About heartbreak and loss and moving on. I enjoyed the characters and although seemed rushed in spots overall it was a nice story. I will warn there is no love scenes but perhaps a kiss or 2. I would have liked more about the characters and further development. Maybe at some point the author will expand the story and include a little more at a later date. Cat's best friend Regina was interesting. I have to admit I didnt particularly like the Journalistic way it was written. Writing books like a journal can make it hard to follow sometimes and that was the case here. If I am honest I dont like that particular style. This book doesnt release for a couple more weeks and I am curious what others think who've read it.

Two of my favorite things in life are Fate and Karma. And this book brought it full circle. This book is a super cute cuddle up by the fire with hot chocolate weekend book. I thought at first the whole tell the story and then write in my dairy was a little weird, but by the end of the book I grew to LOVE IT!!! Cat is such a lovable character and her history with men sucks. When we start our story Cat breaks up with her boyfriend and basically swears off men. However, her bff decides that she needs to find her a boyfriend and tells her that there is this kid in her class, Michael. In his letter to Santa he is asking for a new wife/mother for his dad. And of course let's offer up Cat. lol

However, Cat ends up meeting this cool kid outside a coffee shop and his name is Lawrence. As she drives away she sees his dad in the mirror without really paying attention. Then the oddness or fate comes in. While Cat is in her car at a stoplight, a truck rushes through the intersection and is hit by another car. However, no one offers help. So Cat being the good samaritan checks on the driver and ends up taking him to the hospital where he has to have emergency surgery.

Through some crazy events Cat and Hunter (the driver) and Fate and Karma bring these two together on multiple occasions. However, one of the first things Cat notices is that Hunter wears a wedding band. The story follows these two and how they keep getting thrown together and the twist at the end of the book was amazing and again I whole heartedly believe in fate and karma and what goes around comes around and eventually everything comes full circle. I highly recommend this book if you are look for a Hallmark Christmas "Movie" Book to read this year. Make sure to get your hands on it to see what happens for Cat's Christmas season.

Cat witnesses a car accident and stops to help the injured driver Hunter. She leaves her number for him at the hospital expecting him to call because he needs a witness to the accident for the police. What she gets is a call for a ride home and an unexpected friendship.

Previously I read some of the short romance books, and unfortunately, they kind of disappointed me, but I actually enjoyed this novella, maybe because I read it at the suitable time, or maybe because I could relate with some of the things which were mentioned in the book.

The blurb of this novella is pretty accurate, Cat accidentally meets a stranger in a car accident, and because she has a good heart, she helps him out. One thing leads to another and they spend more and more time together, but life throws in some pleasant surprises and twists for Cat. This is a sweet story, with pleasant characters and interesting twists. I enjoyed reading this novel because it was not too sweet, it had its edge in it, but at the same time, it was pleasant and romantic.

The author was born in Novosibirsk, Russian Siberia, and I did like the little details she proudly shared about her Russian heritage. Do not be fooled by the cover, even though this book is filled with pictures giving it a playful feel, it is a story for adults. I really liked the art at the end of the novel, and I think it is great if you have children, you can give it to them to colour in. Everybody wins!!! 😀

The writing style of this novella is quite simple, with easy and understandable vocabulary. I liked the short chapters, it made this book really great one sitting read. The ending of this story rounded everything as I was suspecting, and for me, it didn’t leave any loose ends. So to conclude, it is a great read if you like Hallmark and looking for a quick, playful and Christmasy story which is pleasant, romantic and not over sweetened. Enjoy 🙂

This was a cute, fast read. Cat meets Hunter at the scene of a car accident. Hunter is hit in his truck and she decides to be a good person and help him out since the other driver left the accident. She brings him to the hospital and leaves him with her number. At this point she has given up on men because the man she was dating turned out to be a total jerk face. Cat and Hunter end up spending a lot of time together and they gradually hit it off.
This was a sweet read that was predictable but it didn't take away from the story. It's nice to read a cozy Christmas book every once in a while and this one is it. Thoroughly enjoyable and can be read in one sitting. Highly recommend.

This review first published on Oh Just Books.

This is a short and sweet novella by Angelina Kerner. She's an amazing person and I've previously reviewed one of her books, Seven Hours, previosuly.

As soon as I read the first few pages I knew it was going to be a sweet and easy read, and I did enjoy the book.

Cat is a relatable and adorable character. I loved that she kept drawing on her Russian heritage and that those little references were peppered throughout the book. I also loved seeing her Christmas traditions. There's something about Christmas that makes us all gooey! Hunter is a fairly well fleshed out character but I would have liked to see a little more development in terms of his character arc.

I wish the book was a novel and not a novella. The lead characters had scope for development and it was a feel-good story too. The story arc was well thought out but it ended too quickly. Having said that, I must also specify that this book takes place in the week leading up to Christmas, so it's got a pretty tight timeline. However, the narrative could surely have been expanded into a longer book.

I do enjoy novellas, and Angelina Kerner surely has a knack for it, but I really liked the story and the lead characters, so I selfishly say I would like to have them fleshed out more. Solely because I'd have liked to read more of it.

One minor issue, the same as I had with Seven Hours - This book could do with a copy-editing revision for grammatical errors and typos. They are easy to overlook, I know. I volunteer as beta reader for her next!
