Monsters. A mass superpowered prisoner escape. A villain long thought to be dead.
I’d thought my life was over, but a literal goddess gave me a second chance. Now, I’m living in a new world, have an awesome power growing inside me, and have not one, but two beautiful, superpowered women by my side.
But the villain behind the prison breakout is putting everything at risk. My women, my city, my very life. He is beyond powerful. And he’s got an army of superpowered villains under his control.
I’m going to have to step up to stop him. To be a real hero. And to be honest, I don’t know if I have what it takes.
But there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to protect the women I’ve grown close to, no matter the risk to myself.
Wanted to see if this got any better now that the set up was over.
It did not. The character work is horrible. The relationship aspect is lazy. The anti hero choices are entirely done to build drama and have nothing to do with situational choices. The MC is lazy and relies an an OP power to bull through plot. And that is exactly what it feels like to read this.
Okay, this is fizzling out for me. The kidnappings is getting old… I didn’t think the onyx angle would be a huge summers Eve but there’s that… it’s rinse and repeat. No hero costume, he didn’t get a name until the very last page and he didn’t even name himself… the romance scenes are wonky and it’s just kinda the same thing again and again. Sighs, I can almost guarantee book three is going to be filled with more kidnappings and somehow a showdown with onyx… even though this guy isn’t worthy to be the MCs arch villain… even though the first book had its hiccups it did pull me into a good story with decent world building… that kind of ground to a halt in book two. Also, I think it’s weird to introduce the pixie as a love interest when he already has the other women…. Unless this series gets more than 3 books? Who knows, but this one was middle of the road for me. I will read book three and cross my fingers. If it’s the same thing page after page I may drop it. Onward, lads
I like the slow burn of this series and how the women aren’t all joining in by 3 or more a book. I also like that while gray is obviously the strongest, he doesn’t walk around impervious to everything and can still face challenge. I find myself angry at the villains when they get a brief leg up on our heroes and that’s the sign of a well written cast and series of events. Can’t wait for book 3
A nice light romp. Still nothing super spectacular within the genre. The MC is still quite OP And continues to get more powerful still. Nothing yet on the god Proxy war that the MC Most likely represents. But I guess that's for future books. The love interest are interesting and somewhat unique. They certainly have different personalities. The scenes themselves are basic and nothing over the top. Overall a fun series that I will casually continue to read.
The storyline picked up a lot in this installment. The action and the love scenario that developed in this book greatly surpassed the first book. Danny has a great imagination and is not afraid to use it, keep it up, we can always use another good writer and storyteller.
As should be no surprise to those who read this authors works, this is a fun and fast paced adventure that will have you unable to put it down!!! Wonderful new characters, more definition to the world the MC has came to and some outstanding adult fantasy activities!!!
Am definitely enjoying Gray and his new lease on life as a superhero. He is definitely right in between being a hero and a villain and is fun to see how he handles things going forward. Looking forward to reading book 3 of this series.
The goddess said he has more to grow! I almost thought he spent all his power when he nuked the evil device. Delia was on the cover so I thought it would be three in bed. Maybe the speedy elf and the others with their dollars off.
This story is the second installment of the Beyond Superpowered and it is a good one. Full of action and intrigue, the characters are fleshed out and sexy as hell. I have to go on and read the next one now.
Fun and quick read. Liked the action and a good story. Enjoyed seeing the Mc's powers grow and him learning to use them better. Can't wait for the next book.
