A pleasant surprise awaits Yuto and the gang upon their return from the Earth Elemental at long last, the cherry blossom tree they planted is in full bloom. Recalling his unfulfilled request from NPCs Spade, Ryver, and Pisco to invite them to a flower-viewing picnic, Yuto pays them a visit, and asks a few friends while he’s at it. With other players jumping at the chance to interact with his monsters, a huge crowd assembles at Yuto’s farm, and the picnic becomes a grand affair. In the midst of it all, several Tamers’ eggs begin to hatch, including Yuto’s “Earth Dragon” egg. What starts as a fun and laid-back picnic is soon anything but...
I’m still not entirely sure why I love this series so much—maybe because the hero is such a nice guy, maybe because there seems to be so many hidden quests and things in the game to make things interesting. I also like seeing how Yuto overcomes the problems and disadvantages he faces, and manages to succeed to thoroughly. There are a lot of characters in this book and I had to go back sometimes to previous volumes to remember who everyone was, but on a whole this was another really entertaining volume.
Still a must-read favorite for me, but I have to admit that Yuto's monologues and scenes of other players losing it over Yuto's cute monsters are starting to feel a bit tiresome.
The story became much slower now. There are nothing noticeable happened except the new pet, Drimo the Driller. Well, this online game story is one that I like.
I'm still enjoying this as much as I did in the beginning. Can't wait for the next vol. Characters are cute and funny. If only gaming was like this today.
