Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is the sequel to Hopey, which I haven't read but I'd like to. Not having read the first book didn't take away from this book. Hope Mueller sure has overcome a lot of problems throughout her life. From abuse to drug addiction to amazing career opportunities. I'm so glad she chose her daughter over her drug addiction.

In the mood for something oh so real? Heartwarming and oftentimes heartbreaking too?
Hope Mueller has done it again. She takes her words from Hopey: From Commune to Corner Office and builds on them and her story. You get even more from Hope in this book.
She is not afraid to lay it all out there and completely open herself up to the reader.
It is endeering and empowering all at once.
Hope Mueller gives the reader HOPE with her words. Excellent follow up!

Hope’s account of her life’s adventures in “Counting Hope” once again interweave her current stable and successful life with the tumult of how she got there. The occasional white-knuckle gripping scenes alternate with breezy, often uplifting and aspirational adventures. Hope’s writing stimulates a strong emotional connection and a real sense of engagement in cheering her on.

I met Hope briefly at a writers’ conference, during what must have been one of the last years of the narrative in “Counting Hope.” I remember being taken with the combination of formidable competence partnered with an endearing vulnerability and a sense of “I’m not quite what you think I am.” It’s been a delight to observe that same sort of dichotomy page after page. A wonderful read – nicely crafted.

I was lucky enough to read Hopey before this one and I will say that I absolutely love both of these books. They are raw and honest, inspirational and heart-warming. There are dark moments, but there are so many moments of faith and hope through both of these. Hope Mueller's writing is truly inspiring and I am so thankful I have gotten to read her stories.

I volunteered to read this book through netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  This book is well written.  She talks about ger relationship with her ex-husband and her children.  It is inspiring what she did for her and her children.  I can not wait to read more books by Hope Mueller in the near future. You can get this book in bookstores now for $9.99. You need to read this book.  It has trigger warnings about drug abuse and abuse.

Hope’s honest portrayal of a dysfunctional marriage riddled with drug addiction, and coupled with physical and emotional abuse, is overshadowed only by the sliver of Hope that dawns within her and slowly grows to a climax as she discovers her worth as a woman, worker, mother, and wife. Her writing is true and raw and mesmerizing. Highly recommended!

A Follow-Up to a Memoir, that is new to me. I loved the first one and was interested to see where Hope's story would lead and ultimately if there was enough for more. Oh boy, there was!
Hope Mueller is a pro at writing about her life and being completely transparent with the reader. She really does have a story like any other I have known and it is inspiring to say the least.
You will see more heartaches, more inspiration, that lead to her success and overcoming and becoming the new HER. Would love to meet her one day!

Eloquently written book of survival

This book is so well written. The subject matter can be tough at times, but the story of survival, even triumph, over addiction and domestic violence is awe inspiring. Unfortunately those subjects are very relatable to a large portion of women.

Hope wrote an inspiring, thoughtful, and sometimes challenging book on surviving, overcoming, and succeeding. It a difficult subject matter that she writes eloquently about. I'm wasn't sure that was possible until I finished this book.

Hope Mueller is back to give us more about her story. I love the fact that this is more of the story and shows how a little at a time, baby steps if you will, can get you to where you want to me. You can overcome anything, you just have to have the motivation to do so. This is the perfect example of that and I am better for having read it!
