I can't believe it's over. I loved everything about Falling for Your Enemy. There were so many lines that had me genuinely lol. I also loved the chemistry, the moving to friends then moving to more. I loved seeing the other ladies from the Love Clichés series. And I loved the epilogue and epic-logue. Did I mention I'm sad it's over. I'm so glad I bought these and can reread them when I get to missing these ladies.
What else are you waiting for?? Do yourself a favour and grab these copies .. you can then come & chat with me how much you liked them 😉
This book is the final book in the love cliche's series and it can't be more perfect and more loveable
This is a story of Sam and Rhys where Sam is an quirky extrovert with a sensitive heart & beautiful soul ..being a writer and an ex- Dr. Love which is a page where she responds to relationship emails, as in the process suggesting a few breakups which crank the idiot guys effected due to it ...one such handsome ,caring, introvert , shy and extremely loving and Hot person being Rhys who by the blessings of social media's false stories become Nemesis of Sam
Now by Divine intervention they both being forced to a 2 week road trip crashes all levels of slow burn romance and fastest falling in soul deep love for each other.. surely not so much easy... But delightful absolutely delightful
Sam's extroverted personality, Rhys sensitive heart , careful planning ... It was beautiful getting to know these both .. their story is one reason I'd say not to miss this book but also their whole friends , family , weddings everything .. especially the fea Prince proposal ( which is my favorite part)
Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match with someone who treats me Rhys treats Sam😍( I can't have Rhys cauz Sam's gonna kill me 🙃😁)
The whole huge reason you should pick up this book to read is the EPIC -Louge Guys some of us are so insecure of our own beauty, physical appearance & everything ( which I AM ) ... the way everything is written letting you know what truly matters and how good a life long romance and friends who love us .. uhhh!! I'm gonna cry
Enimies to lovers+ forced proximity + Road trip+ slow burn romance+ surprise weddings + friends like family+ protective hero+ EPIC writing + hot kisses
I highly suggest reading the whole series ... So happy all see all of them together and so sad this series is ending 😭
What else are you waiting for?? Do yourself a favour and grab these copies .. you can then come & chat with me how much you liked them 😉
This ranks as my second favorite in the Love Clichés series! I think enemies to lovers might be my favorite trope. This closes out the series and can be read as a standalone but I think the experience of reading these in order is worth it.
Never did I think I'd be devouring a romcom series, but this was so much fun to read!!
"This book feels a bit … extra. Maybe in the way the last Avengers movies were extra. I mean… we’ve got multiple weddings. Pregnancies. A taser. JAIL. Lots of dogs. An epic-logue forty years in the future. A kiss that basically lasts a whole chapter. (You’re welcome.)"
Emma St. Clair sums up this story so well! The concluding book in this series finally gives Sam, aka Dr. Love, her own love story! When these characters were first introduced, she was the only one in a relationship and was expected to be the first to get married. When she learns the truth about her now ex-boyfriend, she swears off men entirely.
Until she meets her essential archenemy Grandpa Gossling, real name Rhys, who became a public figure after his ex-girlfriend wrote into Dr. Love calling him boring. The sudden unwanted popularity gains him a book deal right alongside Sam-- leading their publisher to send them on a book tour together to keep them in the spotlight until the books are actually released.
This was an adorable love story full of tension, humor and sweet moments. There's a snapping turtle, malfunctioning hotels, a whole lot of talk about books and writing, a fantasy convention, and romantic feelings that are palpable on almost every page! I loved the addition of news articles to show just how wrong media perception can be as the truth is shown through the perspectives of Sam and Rhys.
I adored seeing Abby and Zane's wedding, as the characters have all grown so much since their love blossomed in the first book of this series. I LOVED the inclusion of the Epic-Logue, which revists the characters and their friendships 40 years later. The closure on their lives was so satisfying!
I'll for sure be diving into the spinoff series following Harper's Brothers and any future romcoms from this author!
I wish I could say I loved more about this book. I did like the main character’s personality, but that is the only thing I could think of that I actively liked and there was a lot of things I didn’t like.
I nearly dnf’ed early on because of the audiobook. The audiobook narrators were stiff and female voice in particular sounded a bit robotic. But I increased the speed a little and was able to push through.
This is quite obviously an enemies to lovers romance, and really nothing else. It compares itself to Pride and Prejudice and A Court of Mist and Fury, yet fails to come close to either of those. I think it’s partly because it didn’t really feel like enemies to lovers. The two main characters were “enemies” at the beginning, but they had never actually met so didn’t actually hate each other, but rather what they knew of each other. So when they got to know each other in person they could hate each other. It felt more like the natural different between how people treat strangers in the internet versus someone standing in front of, rather than a true enemies to lovers.
I also didn’t feel there was chemistry between the two main characters and the plot moved much too quickly. But the end of the series it was blowing right through my suspension if disbelief, a couple of times. I’m not saying real people don’t move this fast, but just didn’t feel there wasn’t enough detail between these two for me to believe they would.
Dear Mrs. Clair, It only feels appropriate to write you a letter for this final book in a wonderful series. I do not want to say goodbye. I feel as though I have spent the summer with a fantastic and hilarious group of friends and I just want more. Abby, Zoey, Delilah, Harper, and Sam (and Taylor) are the best group of women. Would that all of us could have such a tribe IRL. Perhaps it’s telling that my two favorite tropes are in my two favorite books. This enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity story is just sooooo good! Mmmm. It was very much a feel-good read for me, one I finished with a smile on my face. Thanks for that! I know I have said in a previous review that Chase is the perfect hero but Rhys may give him a run for his money! Um, you gave us a deliciously swoony hero and by the end I had major heart eyes for this guy. The teenager! The desk! The bathroom fiasco! The manuscript! The turtle! The stitches! The CVS! The freaking airplane!! Swoon! Swoon!! Swoon!!! Gosh, you wrote such a good character. I loved how much Sam was willing to give in this one. She really showed her true colors from the beginning with this book. I appreciated that this book was able to give us a more accurate depiction of who she is—after all, everything we know of her previous was from someone else’s perspective. Anyway, she’s fantastic. I just love her! Other thoughts I must share with you: -Matt is a class-A jerk. You write some swoony guys—and when you write a “villain,” you really nail it. -Don’t think I didn’t notice what you did with Abby’s wedding. First love story, last wedding. Ah, you’re a clever one! -I adore your author’s notes. They are so personable. -The airport scene when Sam has to fly to Texas had me rollin’! Oh my word!! -That epic-logue! 😍 -The snapping turtle scene is just too funny! Sam’s heart really is the size of Texas. -Rhys defending Sam at the Urgent Care to another class-A jerk “villain” was pretty dang amazing. Really, Emma (we can be on a first-name basis, right?), this entire series was amazing. Not only did I get some light—and hilarious!—love stories, but each book also contained a more difficult theme as well as being packed with complex characters who go through extraordinary growth. I just loved this whole series and the world of these five friends. Thanks for sharing them with all of us! Your new and forever fan, Jessica
Definitely my favorite of the series!! (Though Harper's story is soooo close in the running). I really enjoyed the road trip with Sam and Rhys. These books were so fun and unexpected! Definitely light chick-lit style reading, with more focus on the romance-y romance than what I normally read. I needed this to get my fill of fluff, because longer, heavier books have just seemed like TOO MUCH lately. I needed something like this to get me out of my "mood", apparently.
These books are what most readers would consider clean, being "closed-door", however they very much lean on physical attraction and "swoon-worthy" descriptions. There is also drinking that kind of becomes more of a thing as the series progresses. The plots and storylines are really sweet and I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't read this level of romance on a regular basis. I generally prefer the romance to be a side-plot than the main plot.
I also think I might be the only reader that could've done without the epic-logue? Idk, but I really didn't need that. If I had been reading a print book instead of audio, I would've skimmed or skipped most of it, if not all.
Note on the audio--the narrators talk incredibly slow (Hoopes more than Eiger) I listened on at least 1.5x speed, sometimes 1.8x on the Sam chapters. I was listening on Scribd.
DNF @ 14%. I started this over a week ago and set it down to read a couple other books because it hadn't grabbed me yet. I decided to give it one more try and I just can't get into it.
Last month I reviewed Falling for Your Best Friend, this is the final book to that series. And I’m so sad to see this series end. It’s been one of my favorites and Abby, Zoey, Harper and Sam have become “friends” to me. I loved every bit of this book. The whole thing is amazing. It’s such a great cap to a great series.
I loved Sam! I’ve been excited for her story since the beginning of the series. Sam is one of my favorite characters ever. From the beginning of the book where she’s attacked by a grumpy guy, to the very end where she saves Rhys from his demons, Sam is a class act. And she could have been grumpy, being forced to go on a road trip with her worst enemy. But she was happy, kind and she just rolls with everything she’s given.
Rhys is a great guy! I loved how he was conflicted. In one way Sam had ruined his life. In another way, he likes her, so many things about her. He was hilariously grumpy on their road trip. And the two of them were able to play off each other the whole crazy road trip. And that part was amazing. These two seemed real and had such great chemistry.
The love story in this one is fabulous. It’s full of humor. And surprises. I loved all of the surprises that the author gave the reader. The whole plot kept me guessing until the very end.
Speaking of the end…the epic-logue was one of my very favorite things. The whole group was in their 60’s by that point. And this left me thinking. It left me thinking about how much we compare ourselves to others. And why? I loved that these characters showed me that comparison is a huge waste of time, because it doesn’t matter later.
I was sent an e-copy of Falling for Your Enemy as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
I’m so sad this series is over!! [Though low-key stoked to see what the author writes next].
I found this book beautifully chaotic (and this is a high compliment). Many antics that had me laughing and eyes widening because I couldn’t believe what hijinks were happening next. The road trip that went South fast, yet brought Sam and Rhys together was everything I could hope for.
The subtlety of the enemies to lovers dynamic worked great for these two. It wasn’t heavy on the enemies side. It definitely moved QUICK to lovers. But the way St. Clair portrayed their love story had me never second guessing the pace. It was a fantastic fast-paced romance where I was swooning right along with Sam’s friends at every turn (the pinky hold?! adorable).
It was so fun with all of the hotel changes, book tour nonsense, weddings, video chats, airplane rides, candy stops and much much more. Typing that all out I can’t believe how much happened. I love that the gang was all together and how magical to see all of the happy endings. Even better, there was an epic-logue where 40 years in the future we got to see everyone again. I love additions like this!!! I’m smitten for any epilogue I can get my hands on and this was no exception.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 (4.5) Steam Level: 🔥🔥 (kissing and closed door sex mentioned)
Sam and Rhys have every reason to hate each other. She turned him into a viral meme called Grandpa Gosling. He retaliated by bad mouthing her Dr. Love persona on national television. And when Sam's ex-boyfriend exposed her real identity, she couldn't even leave her apartment without being accosted by angry readers of her relationship column. Now Sam and Rhys are scheduled for a joint promotional tour to boost pre-orders of their books. As they deal with crazy fans, terrible hotel stays, and vicious turtles roaming the freeway, they also learn more about each other and can't deny the attraction that seems to be growing. Will their promotional road trip end in true love?
I can't believe it's the end of the Love Cliches series! We've come full circle as Sam's Dr. Love book was what kicked off this series and resulted in happy endings for an amazing group of friends. I liked how Sam and Rhys had legitimate reasons to dislike one another, although they definitely got over their anger pretty quickly and gave in to their feelings of attraction. While the first half of the book included some great moments such as the radio show interview and Sam's visit to Dr. Doogie, the second half of the book was my absolute favorite- especially that steamy kissing scene that rivaled Gavin and Zoey's barn kiss from book 2! I really enjoyed how Rhys was writing his own fantasy novel and then had Sam help him add romance to the plot. Their discussions of ACOTAR and adventures in cosplay were so entertaining! While things progressed really quickly at the end, I was glad that the conflict was very minimal and instead we got to have the entire series wrapped up really nicely. The epic-logue was also a nice touch, and, I appreciated how Emma St. Clair gave some of the characters real struggles when we see where they ended up almost forty years later. I'm going to miss this group of characters, but I've enjoyed the journey through this sweet and entertaining series!
Okay. Each and everyone one of the Love Cliches books is amazing. Amazing. I knew I was going to enjoy this series but I had no idea I would love them SO much! Sometimes when you read a stand alone series like this one, and it ties up so nicely at the end, the last couple seems to get a little cheated. Well, that is absolutely not the case with Sam and Rhys. They have a beautiful and hilarious love journey and I'm here for every clumsy twist and hotel shenanigan. (But have no fear, this is a clean, closed door romance) I love that we got to revist the other 5 cliche couples and that Rhys was such a heartthrob. . - Rhys and Sam - Sam is a lot. But I like her - fun dynamic, reminds me of Luke and Lorelai - turtle 👌 - interesting trope- it's enemies to lovers but really, it's enemy to lovers. Sam doesn't hate Rhys - the hotel table 😅 - oh goodness- the bathroom. This book is hilarious - the pinky night 😍😍 - the dresses. Oh, the dresses. It's SO ADORABLE! - I'm in love with Rhys. I love the shy guy. - slow burn in the best way - how does she knock it out of the park every time? Incredible! - the epilogue was so fun! - I really like Sam. She had a big and fun personality but it wasn't overwhelming. I also love how she slowly brings Rhys out of his shell. . So, just in case I haven't sold it yet, go read this book! Read the whole series! It's a million kinds of adorable and you won't regret a single word!!
If he were a flavor, he’d be diet vanilla. If he were a color, it would be beige. If he were a temperature, it would be tepid bathwater.
My heart is just FULL of emotions lollll. Gahhhhh, I’m the worst when it comes to endings!! This is the LAST book of Emma St. Clair's Love Clichés series and reading it was sooooo bittersweet! The dynamic and chemistry between introverted Rhys and extroverted Sam drew me in right away from the very beginning; and even though the slow burn had me superrrrr impatient at times, it was totally worth it.
As far as content goes: Suggestive material/innuendos. The "only one bed" trope made an appearance (which I lovedddd) but no worries regarding that. Brief nudity (side character) that wasn't descriptive or sexual (it was meant to be funny). There was no on-page sex, but it was talked about/implied between different characters. Rhys had past/present struggles with his mom parents, but none of those problems were triggering for me...however, others might feel differently. I don't remember anything else?? I would describe the book as a "PG-13 romance movie."
Time to share some IMPORTANT points!
1: Okay, but the way Rhys takes care of Lucas?? OH MY GOSH. It’s too precious.
2: I love that he’s secretly shy.
3: Well, James is NOT staying in his lane and honestly...I’m here for it.
4: Being allergic to silence is something I can relate too lol. Talking to everything and anything?? YEPPPPO.
5: The Killer nickname is cuteeeee.
6: Pinkiesssss.
7: Taylor is a real one.
8: And I was really missing the interaction between the friend group righttttt before the video chat happened, which I absolutely loved!
9: That buildup for the first kiss (and the kiss itself, obviously) WAS UNBELIEVABLE. Incredible. I’m so happy with how it happened. Gahhhhhh.
10: The costume shop. THE COSTUME SHOP. I became even more devastated by Rhys.
11: I couldn’t stand Rhys’ mother, in all honesty.
12: Thayden is still my favorite guy from the series, but Rhys is a veryyyy close second.
13: I feel like I should admit that I actually don't find Ryan Gosling attractive. 🙈
*Just a little note, I know there's a bonus scene to fill in some storyline blanks, but I think I would've liked to see that scene in the actual book as a flashback...just to help tie everything in more.*
Despite the rocky start for Rhys and Sam's relationship, they ended up having something so pure and wonderful with each together...I'm a hardcore #RhySam shipper. There were a few things that threw me for a loop (I had suspicions, but still) and other things that felt rushed/unresolved; but I still really, REALLY loved the book.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to these amazing characters that Emma has created, but I’m SO excited to say hello to her new characters!
To Emma (Kirsten), thank you for writing such a sweet, heartfelt series full of love and laughter! 💗
Falling for Your Enemy is the delightful conclusion to the Love Cliches series! Having read all the previous books, I was so looking forward to Sam’s story. This book did not disappoint! Whether it’s rescuing baby sea turtles, posing with a bachelorette party, accidentally destroying hotel rooms (complete with bubbles), or cosplaying, Sam and Rhys endure it all while fighting their growing attraction for each other.
When the two are forced to travel together for a publicity tour, it’s the last thing either one wants to do. After all, as Dr. Love, Sam made Rhys’ life miserable by dubbing him Grandpa Gosling. While Rhys fits the moniker, he’s anything but grandfatherly. In fact, he’s incredibly handsome and thoughtful. Sam is able to charm him out of his grumpiness and he begins to open up to her. But having just ended a bad relationship, Sam worries about her growing attraction to Rhys and this calls for reinforcements. Will these two enemies ever become something more?
Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and these two characters had me rooting for them to give up their animosity and embrace their feelings. Sam’s quirkiness and Rhys’ grumpiness made for such fun! The two get themselves into the most bizarre situations and I found myself laughing out loud so many times while listening to the audiobook version. The romantic tension between the two is off the charts and I loved it when Sam tries to help Rhys write a kissing scene.
My favorite narrators return to bring Sam, Rhys, and the whole gang to life in the audiobook version of this final story. This is a must listen to especially if you have read or listened to the whole series. The epilogue at the end ties a beautiful bow on the series and will have you smiling and perhaps shedding a tear or two.
Thanks to Emma St. Clair for allowing me to listen to all the audiobooks of this series! I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and look forward to listening to or reading more of her books. All opinions are my own and I was not required to provide a positive review.
This is the part where you need to crank up a song. One in particular, in fact. 🎶I'm too sexy for my love. Too sexy for my love. Love's going to leave me I'm too sexy for my shirt. Too sexy for my shirt. So sexy it hurts.. 🎶 This book belongs on the love cliche catwalk. Ugh it's too sexy.
From the first sentence, I just knew this was going to be a fun book for me. "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred should be it's theme song because half of the lines describe certain scene. A shirtless scene, car scenes, a wedding party scene or two. (There's no disco dancing in the song or the book, which could be amended but really who cares?)
I just need you to know that Sam and Rhys are the icing on the cake, the sprinkles on top, and the whole pie! You get to eat up their heated banter and divine tension. Plus a few hilarious and weird broken furniture moments. Like how? But epic 😂 Just ahhhhh!
Now in my random imagination I see all of the characters walking down the catwalk. Can you just picture Abby? She would totally be throwing something to the crowd. Zane would be stiff as a board and Delilah would be graceful. I may have imagined Rhys in chainmail (let's also add in some wingspan *yes I do crack myself up*) and Sam with a certain silver dress. Gorgeous!
Alright you get the idea. 🎶Poor pussycat 🎶
Thank you for the #arc @kikimojo This is my honest review
I’m so sad this series is over. It’s certainly provided lots of reading entertainment for me. This last book might just be my favorite, pretty sure their first kiss was the best in the series. I love the enemies to lovers trope, all the tension building up! I also really enjoy road trips so this is a win win for me. I appreciate the author being respectful on the subject of marriage. Hey, and when you know, you know. It’s a choice after all. If you love romance and believe in lasting love you’ll enjoy reading this series. It’s sometimes silly and other times steamy. Overall a great escape from reality.
This was a really good ending to the series, though the epilogue was a bit much for me -cheesy to the extreme! But the story itself was good, lots of funny banter and I always like the enemies-to-lovers cliche. I like that she narrates from both points of view, since I feel like the characters are more well-rounded that way. It's still predictable and corny, but I definitely laughed and enjoyed myself during this one. Just what I needed for a quick afternoon read!
There's a lot to like about this book. This author does a great job at writing characters I want to read about. I like the setup with two "enemies" to do a road trip together. HOWEVER... this is getting so obnoxious for petty reasons. So, let's talk about it.
1. The anger he has towards her is over the top.
She was an advice columnist. When someone asked her what to do with a boyfriend who was "too nice" (like a grampa) but "super hot like Ryan Gosling", she recommends breaking up with him soon if the girlfriend's not interested... and says that she'd date this guy "a man as hot as Ryan Gosling and as nice as my grandpa... give him my number". Yes, she nicknames the guy "Grampa Gosling", but there's nothing big in that. When she meets the hero (Grampa Gosling), he's SOOOOO angry that she nicknamed him that (his ex leaked his photo and he got memed like crazy). He saves her from a jerk without knowing who she is and when he finds out, he says "I wouldn't have helped you if I had known who you were." Uh. She was being physically manhandled/assaulted... and he wouldn't have helped her!? Not a "nice" guy.
2. It gets exhausting for her to be a quirky, hot mess heroine to this level.
I don't mind a little quirk. It can be fun. But she doesn't have sense! Around 50% in, she's yelling at him to "stop the car", running across a freeway to rescue a turtle, getting scratched so hard she needs stitches, and fighting off doctors giving her stitches due to her hatred of needles. At this point in the story, I imagine the author thinking "I need to throw in a crisis that brings my main characters together"; HOWEVER, this kind of crisis was just dumb and made the heroine look like an idiot as she almost gets hit by a semi and other cars/trucks. By this time in the book, I want the hero to see "her hidden depths"... NOT see even more quirk and hot messness. Ugh.
3. The reveal of the heroine's "secret" is such a energy sink.
The heroine gets fired from being the columnist, Dr Love. She keeps this a secret from the hero while they're road tripping. I LOVE a good misunderstanding trope. Meaning, the hero has all these prejudices against her, but he doesn't know that a lot of what he's mad about isn't her fault. But, after only two days on the road trip, the heroine kinda sighs out a major clue and the hero quickly follows up and finds out she got fired and wasn't posting mean memes about him. This COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT REVEAL. But instead, the author just throws this chance away.
4. The timeline doesn't make sense.
When the hero expresses his surprise that the heroine isn't the one posting on social media, she says "I thought you knew me". Uh... IT'S ONLY BEEN TWO DAYS!!! HOW WOULD HE KNOW YOU?
Basically, they have this huge turnaround at this point but IT'S ONLY BEEN TWO DAYS!!! Like, seriously. A huge change of heart after only two days? It makes no sense.
5. The narrators don't fit with each other.
The two narrators are perfectly fine... but they cannot do the other main character's voice in a way that makes this book feel like it's being told about the same people. This would have been so much better as duet narration where each of them does their own main character's dialogue.
This book is fine... but it's irritating enough that I just need to be done.
*sigh* We’ve finally come to the end of this amazing book series! I have loved every single one of the Love Clichés series, and I’ve been so excited for Sam and Rhys’ books. It was fun too because we got to see a little bit more of everyone else’s story too. And Ms. Clair also said that she might write a book about Harper’s family! I am so excited because I fell in love with them all right away ;) This book was amazing! I loved it as part of the Love Clichés series, but it can also be read stand-alone. Sam finally gets her HEA! The poor thing had to go through a lot to get there though. I felt really bad for Sam as she had to deal with all of this backlash from what happened with Dr. Love. She had a lot of anger directed toward her, but I like how she didn’t let it break her. There were definitely some ups and downs. However, Sam kept her positivity and her quirkiness still which I appreciated. Also, it was fun to see more of her personality in this book. I feel like you didn’t get to see as much of Sam’s character in the other books, so it was fun to see more of her spark! Okay, I actually really, really, loved Rhys! He was honestly a super honorable and nice guy, but he had this messed up idea of Sam in his head. He also had a lot of issues with his mom that definitely didn’t help. I liked how you could see his kindness especially in how he treated Sam when he was mad at her. It was fun too because Sam really balanced him. She was a total extrovert, and he was really, really shy. But Sam let out all the crazy in him that most people didn’t see. Their romance had definite Pride and Prejudice vibes. So, if you’re a fan of Mr. Darcy, I think you will love Rhys! The plot was also just as fun as the rest of Ms. Clair’s books. Some things were quite over the top, but it was still a ton of fun. If you’re okay with a less believable rom com, I think you’ll enjoy the comedy in this book. I never really expect rom coms to be imaginable, so I’ve loved this whole series! It is a bit more PG-13 than her other books, especially the final epilogue. But overall it is a clean read that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of rom coms! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
I'm not sure my review will be adequate but I'll try.
I loved all the books in this series. Some, more than others. Abby and Delilah's were probably my favorites leading into Sam's story.
That being said, this felt like the author's Mona Lisa. A love letter to the readers. Sam's story with Reese on the book tour is filled with funny antics that kept me very entertained.
Without giving spoilers, Sam and Reese have an epic love story which leads to 🥁🥁🥁
An EPIC Logue - not a typo- 40 years into the future. We catch up with the entire friend group. It felt like a Christmas gift.
I highly recommend any of the series but somehow she saved the best for last.
Sam has an enemy, thanks to her love advice column. Rhys was dumped after his girlfriend wrote in for advice and memes about him went viral. A publicity tour road trip with this duo added an strong element of tension, and you know what they say--it's a thin line between love and hate.
Snarky and witty, Sam is quick on her feet, but she's no match for the grumpy grandpa. As the miles fall away from their tour, so do the layers and thick walls, and I loved watching them peel away to uncover some hilarious situations and yummy chemistry.
I loved seeing favorite characters make appearances and embrace Rhys into their group. This was the perfect ending to the series!
4.5⭐ This was so cute. It's harder than the rest of the series to track down, so I had to listen to it on Spotify. I remember thinking Sam was a little annoying as Dr. Love in the other books, but she leaves that post in this book. Her strong personality is a great character fit for the enemy to lover plotline. Reece is the perfect gentleman. I loved that they eloped in the story and I wasn't waiting for the whole book for the relationship to begin. The epic-logue was a cute wrap-up to the whole series. I liked imagining the girls as all old ladies together.
