I loved this series! Talk about attractions first then betrayal by one leading to being enemies, then becoming friends again after Xander comes to rescue Aria progressing to love again that they both felt upon first meeting each other and Aria accepting that she is in fact Fair and not human when told of how she ended up in the Human Realm in the first place and why. Through all the trials and experiences she has in the Fair Realm she embraces those who are her kindred and her physical body changes to reflect the traits she was born with which were masked while she was in the Human Realm.

There are adventures, kidnapping and loss of friends throughout the series as the story unfolds but the strong desire for both to be together to battle against the evil that is encroaching upon the Fair Realm remains and binds these two together toward a common goal to be achieved regardless of the cost involved.

I wholeheartedly recommend you get this entire series so you can read it from start to finish to watch a girl who was raised as a human and the wonder she encounters when she is introduced to the Fair Realm and the people good and bad she meets there which changes her life forever!

Lyndsey has written an engaging story which will hold your attention throughout the read! You’ll read of happy moments and experience heartbreaking losses as life goes on because of betrayal and obsession for power and control over others. It shows that whether you’re human or Fair, some things never change!

Get this series today and settle back as Lyndsey weaves her magical spell over you and keeps you glued to this story of wonder, intrigue, adventure and excitement that will entertain you for hours to come!

What a great finale!

A beautiful ending to the series, The Fair War is a gripping story that just keeps you turning the pages.

It’s full of unexpected twists and turns, getting even more intense near the end, with some truly heartbreaking moments.

I’ll really miss the characters.

Highly recommend the whole series to everyone who enjoys escaping into intricately built fantasy worlds. And I definitely am looking forward to reading more books by this talented author.

An incredible ending to the Fair Chronicles series and my only issue is I'm going to miss all these characters so much! True to her style, Hall manages to bring in a whole bunch of unexpected twists. I really thought I knew where this was going and it ought to have been predictable, but oh, no! Lyndsey Hall has a knack for deft twists that blindside you and make the book so much better!

I loved this portal fantasy series very much and look forward to seeing what this author gives us next. For now, I'll be saying goodbye to Aria and Xander who really grew on me. Their slow burn and complicated relationship from the first two books just keeps on developing with its ups and downs. They are such a great couple and I was rooting for them throughout this book.

An amazing finale to the series! Without any spoilers - it’s got epic battles, it’s got magic, it’s got twists and turns and adventure; and those who love headstrong, spunky, independent heroines will love the ending, I promise. I love how Aria’s and Xander’s slow-build sweet romance developed and culminated and how they faced their challenges together. Hall never ceases to amaze and the ending of the series was well worth the wait. Recommended for lovers of YA epic fantasy, enemies to lovers, fae and gnome lore, headstrong heroines and cinnamonroll heroes.

I liked the Book of Origin and how it was used as a plot device.

It was clear from Aria’s visceral reaction to Alastor that he was an even greater threat than Auberon.

I sort of guessed at who the White Hart was and one of my guesses turned out to be correct – such a powerful scene.

Aria practicing her healing abilities was interesting, especially with the kestrel.

The final battle was so quick, I was left wondering what the fuss surrounding the books was about. But the death of a beloved character overshadowed that. (And I did figure out why the books were important.)

Loads of twists and turns, great worldbuilding, an emotional rollercoaster, and characters worth caring for. I enjoyed reading this very much. Highly recommended.

Trigger warning: death of a loved one, betrayal.

This one does exactly what it says on the tin, plunging the reader into the long awaited conflict. As the despotic Auberon and his warped son gather followers, his niece Aria goes in search of a fabled Chronicle that might just be the key to survival.

So far, so fantasy. The Chosen One takes her place, the prince sacrifices, the villains are villainous and grief is never far away. Nothing new perhaps, but it's done with heart, characters you care about and pageturning skill, so, all in all, good fun.
