Anthony Darby thinks he is ready to give up his life of pleasure--until finds himself at an exclusive club where ladies of the ton indulge their secret desires...and he spies the most alluring woman he's ever laid eyes on.Lately widowed, Margaret is determined to savor some of the joys she missed while married to a cold-hearted Russian count. After paying her dues as a dutiful wife, she's ready to begin living for the moment--starting with a night of passion with Anthony.
An army brat born in England and now living in Canada, Ann grew up loving history, but majored in business, with history on the side. She has a husband and two lovely daughters and a Maltese Terrier called Teaser, who likes to sit on a chair beside the computer while she works.
Her love of the past and the stories in her imagination led her to write her first novel in 2000, a never-see-the-light-of-day-effort, and after having her first book published in 2006, she knew she'd found her niche.
She loves the Georgian era, and within that, the period known as the long Regency. She also adores happy endings.
You will find her books in bookstores in the month of issue, as well as on line at Mills and Boon or E-harlequin.
I have rated this brief novella 4/5 because even though brief it is well written and has a interesting storyline… could do with a longer look at how the romance progresses though. But for what it is, it is a good read though it is risqué in parts. A library eBook read as part of Scandalous Nights, A Regency Collection
A sweet, but passionate little novella in which Tony goes to a "brothel" where unsatisfied married ladies and widows go to hook up with interesting men. He meets Margaret, a mysterious widow looking for a little bit of passion before enjoying her freedom for the rest of her life. The two spend most of the novella wooing each other before having sex and realizing they're in love with each other. It doesn't end on an HEA necessarily, but on a positive note for sure as .
