Marra comes to Wild only for the sex, being past the age when Lynx find their mate. She's resigned herself to her fate, content for coming to Wild only to scratch and itch, but this year Fate has a surprise for her...

I don't usually like short stories filled with sex and lacking in (or missing) plot, but this one, despite its shortness and sex-filedness actually delivered on the plot aspect. It was told in a concise manner that managed to recite everything the reader needed to know and keep the plot aspect brief to get to the "juicy" part.

Something about this author caught my eye the other day, and I've been reading her works lately. This short story, about a passionate encounter at Wild, the Lynx shape shifters' annual hedonism destination, has enough emotional resonance with the characters to make it surprisingly good.

Marra feels like she pasted her prime but decides to attend the Wild. which is a massive Lynx orgy where they hope to meet their mates.
A new male Lynx has come into the Wild which teases Marra appetite.
really good short story that fits really easily into other big book when you need a break.

Surprisingly good for a short story. It had a touch of that thing short stories usually lack. Realistic 3D feelings. I wanted more, this story could have been longer I feel.
