Noelle Nichols is tired of not being taken seriously. From working in a male dominated career to feeling like she’s not heard in her own relationship, she’s at her wits end. It doesn’t help that her boyfriend breaks up with her in the middle of their ski trip– the one he insisted on booking to save their relationship.
Tensions are high, insults are thrown, and Noelle takes the next bus out of the ski resort and into town. Finding out she’s stranded during a snow storm with the only option to seek shelter at the local Inn is just the cherry on top.
Oh, wait.
Don’t forget the grumpy, but very handsome local who just so happens to need a room as well and offers to share the last one available. Noelle doesn’t know that he might be the one person that might help her forget that night, and more.
- Snowed Inn is a Christmas Novella that is suitable for readers 18+.
2.5 stars. I really wanted to like this one! I follow the authors on Instagram and was eagerly anticipating the book, because the "snowed in together" trope is one that I love! I did enjoy that part of the plot, but what bothered me were a few things. First, from chapter one, our main character Noelle immediately listed several ways she was "not like other girls", which is a pet peeve of mine. At one point she literally said she has a hard time being friends with other women. Big red flag in my opinion! The other issue I had was the total insta-love. I love insta-lust, but it's so hard for me to believe that someone would be willing to . That said, it was a quick easy read, and if the things I mentioned don't bother you, definitely give it a shot!
On kindle unlimited it says: „Snowed Inn: a Christmas Novella“, help me please what exactly had Christmas to do with all of it? Oh because it snowed in Wintervale…?
Listen, I know what a novella is and I can’t expect too dynamic of a character on a few pages. I also don’t care for likeable characters most of the time but Noelle, get a grip girl. The „I’m soooo not like other girls“ was strong in this one and usually a sentence like „I just don’t know how to form female friendships“ is an instant call for me to just abandon a book. But here I thought I could just as well finish the rest of it.
It was once again a 50000 feet tall guy who is just SO huge and a really petite woman, as in 95% of all straight romance books but okay whatever. My issue lays more in the „ugh men are trash“-talk in a straighthet romance book. Don’t get me wrong, I‘m a misandrist myself but… just write a gay book instead of telling me that except this particular brickwall giant dude, men suck? Believe me I know lol
Loved this so much - Teddy is a man after my own heart and I was cheering for Noelle the whole read. Absolutely worth the time - I read in less than a day, and every time I took a break I was thinking about when I would have the chance to go back to reading it! Grace and Jenni have knocked it outta the park!
If you’re wanting a cute, spicy holiday novella — look no further! This was such a fun read, I found myself not wanting it to end.
TEDDY MARLOWE. New favorite book boyfriend. A mountain man? A protective one, at that? Yum. I loved Teddy and Noelle’s tension and pining that led into the spice, which was 🤭 and don’t even get me started on Teddy standing up for Noelle to her ex, talk about swooning, melting, crying, throwing up.
My favorite quote without context?
“So f*cking sweet, Shortcake, you’re gonna give me a toothache.”
If you like: — small town guy x city girl — ONE BED — grumpy x grumpy — forced proximity
Snowed Inn is a one bed, forced proximity with a sprinkle of spice novella perfect for Hallmark movie lovers. Available on KU and paperback.
Could contain themes of misogyny, insta lust (it is a novella after all) and an ending that definitely wouldn't happen irl. This is fiction after all. Head to our respective websites for a full break down or slide into our dms.
I’m shocked, I absolutely adored this book. Why am I shocked, might you ask? Because I can’t help but make judgements about cartoon covers 🤷🏼♀️
This book was the perfect mix of plot and spice. The plot was well planned and placed. It was cute, funny, entertaining, emotional, and so many freaking aww moments.
The side characters truly added to the depth and I felt like I got a full novel in a novella.
I’m swooning over the MMC, a rugged rancher with a broken heart and a penchant for dirty talk and praise.
Our FMC is a fiery redhead, always a bonus in my opinion, that has been seriously emotionally abused by her ex. It was great to see her character develops and open up throughout the book.
I’m really hoping there are plans for another story with these main characters. I want to know what their next steps are!
Favorite Quote - “There’s milk in the fridge if you want a real hot chocolate and not those watery kinds.”
Why? Because I feel scene 🤣 No one likes hot cocoa made with water 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
My only issue was with the POV switching, the first couple chapters had the POV switching and going back in time from where the previous chapter had left off. I get why, so you could see how the other experienced the situation but it felt like it stilted the progress a bit. This only lasted for a few chapters and then the timeline progressed normally which is when I was really dragged into the story and couldn’t put it down.
🥹😍 loved Noelle & Teddy. Enjoyed that this novella was not annoyingly trope-y nor super holiday focused. The 🌶️ was perfect! The small town ski resort vibe has me wanting to buy a cabin.
Very spicy novella! Noelle just found out her boyfriend is cheating on her. When she heads to the local bar while on vacation she meets her mountain man.
Um… can I be snowed in with a mountain man? I absolutely loved every second of this read! I devoured this book in one sitting! Perfect for a short Christmas read! 🌲
The mmc and fmc meet in a bar after the fmc finds out her boyfriend has cheated on her. After a sassy encounter they part ways because of an incoming snowstorm… only to reunite at the town’s only place to stay for the night… that only has one room left!
Tropes to expect: one bed, praise, instalust, and a man who loves eating 🐱
Who doesn 't love a cute all lovey dovey Christmas story !! I loved all the characters even the side ones, the decor was planted in such a good way, I could imagine every street of this small cute Christmas town!! If you are searching for a sweet & spicy romance (a bit too cliché for me but that's only because I am not the biggest fan of pure romance, the big fan of romance will love all of it I am sure sure) then this novella is for you !! I can't wait to read the next book for both authors because this was just soooo good, cute and funny 💛🤍
"Changed my mind, Shortcake, I want that drink you owe me."
I thoroughly enjoyed this little holiday novella! I loved both mcs and their personalities. I liked experiencing many different emotions in a short amount of time. Best of all, I love an HEA.
"Ruin me."
The spice... chef's kiss for a shorter novella.
"He's the best Christmas Present I've ever gotten."
The only reason I didn't give this 5stars was the retelling of scenes from the different povs. I didn't need to relive what we already went through just to put it through the other mc's lens. This really only happened in the beginning half of the novella anyway and then normal dual nov writing continued, which I prefer.
I had gotten this book when they had first published it as I was pretty excited for it. What threw me off and made me out it down is just how inaccurate it was for me. As a northerner- if the snow is past the underside of a public transit bus- they won’t be running. And you could most defiantly tell that two people had written it
I liked this one. It was a good, quick read. The characters had well developed personalities, and I felt the connection between the h and H in a short amount of time. I love the way that the OW drama was handled, and while there was tension and conflict, the characters were smart and handled it well. I was drawn in from the start and enjoyed it as a good holiday read with steam and an HEA!
This was worth the wait for the paperback. I’m in love with Teddy. Like, seriously, why did he have to be fictional? Jenni and Grace just had to go and destroy my already non-existent bar for men. (I’m in a desperate need to find myself a Teddy) Oh my God, the fact that I wanted more after reading this is so frustrating. But, I love that aspect of wanting more, and I am beyond grateful to have been able to read something this hilarious, adorable, and cheesy. The banter between Noelle and Teddy was my favorite part of the book. And the imagery is phenomenal and I could sincerely picture all the things from this book in my mind. Jenni and Grace, you two did amazing and I loved reading this novella. I cannot wait to read your upcoming debuts.
I loved it so much! I couldn’t put it down. Everything in it was so cozy, cute and warming for the heart. It’s the perfect winter read to have on the couch with a hot chocolate 🍪❄️ It’s the perfect mix of romance, humor, coziness and hurt&comfort.
So if you want to get into the Christmas/Winter spirit, you should definitely read it! 100% recommend!
