Jynx isn’t going to let those who murdered her mother get away with it.
She’s going to get to the bottom of why her grandmother was involved with the Ravens, and she’s going to make those who harmed her mother kneel and beg for mercy before she ends them.
She’s not doing it alone though, she’s got the guys by her side, as confusing as her feelings may be for them, and she also calls in the help of her old friend, the one who saved her life.
Getting her revenge may come with a hell of a lot more than she bargained for because, in this world, nothing is ever simple.

Still around a 3.5-4 stars. If spelling / grammar REALLY gets to you, maybe avoid! (Not complete)
I've been really enjoying the story of these books, even if some of the writing comes off as immature, or things said wouldn't be realistic. An example (with no spoilers!) is a call Jynx's guys got from the fire department. Basically, one of the guys answered, and someone responded, "Hi, we know you're out of town, but we wanted to let you know --------- happened." So, no stating who they are? What department is calling? No confirming or asking who it is that they're calling? I get this is a fictional story, but it's meant to be a realistic contemporary one, so I feel the writing should be all as realistic as possible. If they didn't think they could manage that, or if they couldn't bother, the author could have simply stated the department called and informed them of what happened, or that the guy took the call to the other room for whatever reason. It just takes away from the story.
Another point is the grammar and punctuation. Punctuation either exists where it shouldn't or isn't there at all. There's run-on sentences. Spelling mistakes. It appears there was no editing done in these books at all.
The reason I still mark it as 3 stars is because I really AM enjoying the story. I marked book one as 4 stars despite all of these same issues, but this isn't the free reading apps, where you can choose to pay per chapter. I feel there should have been more effort put into these, which is sad - they're fantastic.
Final note: At the time of this review, it says this is book 2 of 2, but it is not a complete series.
I read a lot of bad reviews about book 1 because they said it was too unrealistic. While I can understand what those reviewers were saying, I don't know why we can't just go along with the fantasy. Is it unrealistic for 19 & 20 year olds to be trained assasins with lots of experience? Probably! But it's still fun to read. This book is good too. Is there unrealistic stuff? Yes! But it doesn't matter because it's still fun! I'm enjoying the plot. Unlike other reviewers, I don't find the characters to be 2 dimensional. Do I think the characters are original for this genre? No. But I still like them. Jynx is tough and still has a girly side. Some people have a problem with that. I find it to be a good thing because it drops the high tension some of the plot brings. It's a nice tension release.
One complaint in this book is the spelling/grammar mistakes. I don't get hung up on that unless they are extreme. They aren't terribly extreme in this book, but there are enough to make it distracting.
PS. I was laying in bed last night thinking about this book and my review. I thought about something that doesn’t make sense. In book 1 we find out that Jynx is D’s niece. He’s the head of a mob/gang. Book 1 lets us know she was very poor and had lived in a single wide trailer before inheriting her grandmother’s estate. In book 2, at the end, Jynx is trying to fix the Raven’s financial problems and decides she’s going to use the same system as D. In other words, she’s going to pay based on skill and danger levels. She gives the “Conspiracy” millions of dollars as back pay because of their skill and the dangerous situations they had been in. Given that fact, if that’s how D ran his empire’s finances, how come Jynx was so poor? She had been doing skilled and dangerous work for years, right? She should have had a lot of money, even though she took care of her mom. It kind of doesn’t make sense…unless I missed an explanation at some point in the story. Anyway, things that make you go hmm…
The twists and turns in this book! I fell in love with Jynx in Bow Down. She is one of those characters that is so strong and fierce that it’s hard not to love them. I’ve missed her while waiting for book 2 in this series. I’m glad to see the romance starting to sizzle! It irritated me a bit that they were going a bit slow in the first book, but I’m happy to see them progressing! Jynx is one of those people that is just a magnet for danger and trouble, which means that this book is filled with close calls and lots of blood shed. I love seeing Jynx in her element of violence and destruction. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series! I’m so hooked and invested in finding out the outcome!!
Kindle. Mid/higher-three. The general storyline itself is interesting, fun, and right up my ally. I like the more intense and darker aspects. I also really like the pace and allotted time for problem solutions.
The FMC strong, capable, stubborn and badass attitude, I enjoyed. I love the guys being obsessed and caring for her. Though it seems so many minuscule details were continuously added that the plot read choppy at points and certain aspects got lost and just seemed to be pointless additions to the storyline.
My overall opinion being that it seems some drama aspects are focused on too much in relation to the plot. While others are focused on too little. While some plainly seem like they weren’t needed and the plot could have been a bit more focused in conclusion.
My biggest issue with this series so far has been the grammatical errors. Sentence phrasing being off, missing words in sentences, or spelling errors such as “if” instead of “in” an example off the top of my head. Seems like it is a drafting error or wasn’t proof read enough. But the mistakes are relatively frequent and easy mistakes that should/could have been fixed. This continued to take away from my enjoyment of the story.
It wasn’t necessarily a bad read I still enjoyed aspects but the certain things I mentioned took away from the book for me. I am still going to continue on in the series.
Love reading about Jynx, who we met in the “Finding my Home” series. This book continues with her and the guys tries to figure out her grandmothers legacy whilst dealing with threats from their own families. The relationships between Jynx and the guys develops over this book, even Rip who seems to have had the most concerns getting onboard. She’s such an amazing badass FMC, who thanks to her uncle Diesel is highly skilled in combat and able to defend herself. The way she dispatched the Ravens leader Treyton and sent his body back with a note was hilarious. Sure she will definitely whip them into shape in no time, especially as Diesel was wanting an in anyway. She’s certainly got a lot on her plate at present. Always enjoy it when like here we meet characters we met in previous books. The plot was high action, funny and fast paced, really enjoyed reading it, plenty of sizzling action between Jynx and the guys too. Looking forward to the next book.
things have escalated and it is kind of a different vibe from book one but I am here for it.
Book 2 starts right where book 1 ended. Jynx has just found out her mother has been murdered and she is gonna get revenge on the one who called the hit and the one who killed her. There is a crime syndicate after something Jynx’s grandma stole and and while she is looking for it she learns more about who her grandmother was. Things are escalating but Jynx has friends willing to help and the guys are all in.
When I say the story is escalating, it really jumps into it. The relationship with the guys has gotten steamy and they are open about their romantic feelings. It was obvious in book 1 but they are voicing their interests more openly.
The whole Raven problem is what will bring the group closer. And the ending isn’t a cliffhanger but definitely sets up the next book. Bummer it isn’t out yet!
I think it's probably impossible not to love Jynx. Not only is she totally bad***, but she's quirky and funny, too. Her and Ever combined is ... what's more than a force of nature? I mean, each on their own is one force, so combined, it's like a force of nature squared or something. Whatever it is, I would love to go out on a girls' night with the two of them. Oh, the havoc that would be wreaked ....
Kneel has all the characteristics of a Nikita Parmenter book. A strong female lead surrounded by a group of just as strong male leads. Everyone is a bad*** in their own way. Murder and mayhem. Inside jokes, great cameos, and probably other things that aren't coming to mind right now. If you are enjoying the Finding My Home series, then you'll enjoy this one as well. Forgive the pun, but it feels like coming home.
I love everything Nikita writes!! I love all the detail and description and honestly her books are my comfort reads! In this book more answers are revealed but then I have EVEN MORE QUESTIONS!! I love Jynx and her men and how they are developing!! Rip is definitely a favorite!! There is more spice in this book but still a slow burn for some of our men! I love the addition of new characters and the Ravens aspect!! Also the parts of EVER!! Obsessed!! I love it and also the mention of some of our favorite characters while ever is in the room! Amazing! If you haven't started this series do it now!!! Spice 4/5 Plot 5/5
Reviwe of Kneel by Nikita Parmenter * * * * * Finally! It took me forever to get back into this series and I freaking love the stuff that comes from Nikita Parmenter.
Jynx is such an amazing young woman. The introduction from the first book and her coming out was epic, so I was very interested in what she would do in the second book and how she would open up more to the boys. Feelings are being shares, things are getting steamy as much as everything else is getting risky. I don't have a favourite of the boys yet, I like them all for different reasons! Like Jynx, why choose one?
More fighting. More fun. More drama! Need to get to the second book asap!
I want to be Jynx when I grow up. She's so cool. She moves from one disaster to another like she's twirling in the rain, wet and dizzy and chaotic. I really like that she and the fellas are communicating more and I'm shocked that there wasn't more of a conversation around age and consent. The mystery of the grandmother is awesome I love the little breadcrumbs. The cameo from Ever, Atlas and Rage was adorable. This was a delightful follow up in the broken kings series.
Loved this! Really love Jynx’s character. She’s definitely the main attraction and her men are kind of in the background. Not as prominent as other RH’s which is a nice change. It means the storyline is front and centre instead of concentrating on the relationships. The relationships are woven through the storyline as a background thing happening naturally instead of the relationships being first and the story playing second fiddle. Love it! Can’t wait for book 3.
This is the 2nd book to this series and it being a spin off series to the Finding My Home series. I absolutely loved it, the mystery, the suspense and the action had me on the edge of my chair and completely intrigued. The sexual tension between Jinx and her guys was steaming hot 🥵 Loved the cliffhanger ending and can’t wait to spread the next addition to this series.
Honestly I didn’t think I could love another series as much as I loved Ever and her boys but…. I love Jynx and the boys and can’t wait to see the journey of her leading the Ravens and how Ever intertwines with these characters since we glimpsed them in the Home series. I hope this series keeps going and so have to find out about Gerald and who Jynks’ father is!
Jynx Luther is a woman that not to be mess with. She knows as a weapon, fight knows how to use a weapons. She has handsomely deadly men that hurt her, Now they figure shr dangerous they want to in Jynx life she can handle them all without them worrying about her safety. She dangerous on her, and more. Jynx is large and in Charge. Then she becomes a leader, her leadership is better the the old leader.
Wow this was a fantastic read. Buns and the boys are doing a superior job. Story line keeps getting better and better. Nice to see other characters in the story also. Read the book in 3 hors could not put it down. Everything that Military has written has been great.a new rising star.
I don’t often read books that are not about shifters and other things. But this author has done well enough I’ve read every book she’s put in this series, and her others. I love Jynx and the fact that’s more than able to handle herself and that she’s managed to find and not have to choose her men.
What a fantastic book. I love the way that Nikita writes and she just builds the most fabulous worlds. It’s super engaging and just overall one of my favorites. Pardon me while I go do another re-read of Finding My Home while I wait for the next Nikita book.
…so many times recently I’ve read a first book and loved it then been really disappointed by the second. This is not one of those times. I do wish I could dive right into the next one right now but it probably is more sensible to go to since I know that I would be reading until stupid o’clock.
I loved Jinx before and I love her more in this book!
I can’t wait to see what Jinx and her men get up to in the next book! It’s also good to find more out on Sawyer because he was mentioned in the Ever series. I love these books almost as much as the Ever series and can’t wait until we find out more about the guys situation in their hometown.
I love this series, I absolutely love this author too. Lynx has found herself the new boss of the Ravens, after taking out the previous one who orchestrated her mother's murder.
In addition, her guys family are trying to assassinate them. I cannot wait for book three, I just hope we don't have to wait too long...
I can’t get enough of Nikita Parameters books. I love the new characters we got to meet and some of my favourites showing up. I’m excited to see where this storyline leads.
This book is so good . I loved the fact that we get to read when the guys meet Ever. That cliffhanger sucked I was turning the page and it was just over 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can’t wait for book 3.
Omg book 2 of jynxs story was amazing!!! But really Nikita did you have to leave off on that cliffhanger lol I'll be waiting on bated breath for book 3!! I absolutely love this series so far
It is like having your favorite family members come over for the holidays that you have greatly missed! I loved everything about the book and getting cameos of characters from other books. Can't wait for the next one!
Love this series, Jynx is a strong heroine with a troubled background and plenty of mystery surrounding her. Nikita weaves clues, hints, and solves a few in book two. I'm definitely hooked.
I really enjoyed this book and series so far can't wait for the next. I absolutely loved that we got Ever in this and when she meets the guys. I hope they have more of her in the next one.
Really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one. I'm not sure how Nikita's books keep getting better but they do !! If you are looking for a brilliant RH book with alot of violence, this series is for you !
I'm impatiently waiting for the rest of the series because I'm in. The different personalities and skills of the characters are strong and well suited. New people introduced fit well.
Kneel, the second book of the Brokan Kings series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Again, the poor grammar continues ruining a great plot line. There is so much going on, and this is a truly imaginative author, but her 5-star potential is ruined by a lack of skilled editing.
Beginning of the book was a bit tedious maybe? for me. It wasn’t till about the last 10 chapters that I became quite enthralled and wanted to find out just what happens next asap. I like the story in this book more than the story from the first book.
