All I want for Christmas is for Luke Scott to fall in love with me. Too bad he’s a pro baseball player. And my best friend.
To be fair, it’s my own fault that I’m in this situation. Cooper Hills is a small town. And growing up, I was always that girl. You know, the one who guys think of like their little sister – and nothing more. But this Christmas, all of that’s about to change. I’m going to go out on a few dates and have some fun. What’s weird though is that when I tell Luke about my plan, he doesn’t seem happy for me. He gets possessive. And growly. Then he shocks me with an insane offer that makes me melt from the inside out.
And now I'm starting to think that there might really be some magic in these Christmas cookies after all...
Mountain Wish is a friends-to-lovers holiday instalove with plenty of spice, all the feels, and a HEA guaranteed. Although it is part of the Fit Mountain Alphas series, it can be read as a standalone
This book is sooooo swoony!!! Part of me wants more because I love them sooooo much. But also part of me is like nope, stop being greedy, this is soooo perfect.
You get it all, the swoon, the fireworks, the steam, hello, yes, the steam!!! The best friend mmc offering the fmc spicy lessons because she is gonna go on a dating app and he is like nope, you are mine!! Eeeekkk! Soooo hot, soooo fun! Amazing! This is my second Stella Banks books and I am so in love with her writing!!! An absolutely must read!!!!
Nora and Luke. Just stop right now. They are SO perfect! This book is so magical. I love the friendship they have. How much he cares for Nora. How much she care for Luke. They make my heart so dang happy. It’s such a swoon worthy book that makes me smile and kick my feet! Best one in the series by far!
In Mountain Wish, Nora and Luke have been friends since they were children. Nora has always been in love with Luke. Luke works for a professional sports team and has had a lot of experience with women. Nora has been home working in her family’s cafe just about her whole life. Luke and Nora haven’t been in contact because Luke was engaged to woman who didn’t like him having a friendship with a woman. Now that Luke is home for the holidays him and Nora get together for drinks. While out Nora tells Luke that she has joined a dating/hook up app and wants to do something “dirty”. This is such a cute, feel good love story. It’s so nice when the heroine gets the person she has been pining for. There is some sexy, steamy moments between our main characters. In this novel there were several references to another couple that will be featured in the book Mountain Spark (book 7), that I’m looking forward to reading.
But I’ve spent so many years telling myself why going after Nora was a bad idea that I never stopped to think about what would happen if she found someone else. For the record, it sucks. 🌨️⛄️🌨️
Mountain Wish is the sixth installment in Stella Banks’ Fit Mountain Insta-love series. In it, she chronicles the romantic journey of Nora Fleming and Luke Scott. They were childhood friends. Luke left their town to puruse a job as a professional baseball player. He returns hom determined to reconnect with the beautiful curvy Nora, the object of his childhood crush. Will he be successful? Does he run into any obstacles? How does Nora react to his return and attention? To find out you must read this book.
Yet again Ms. Banks does a remarking job chronicling this second chance at love short story. Her lead characters are multi-faceted and charming. The dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, allow readers to better understand Nora and Luke. Ms. Bank portrays their backstories, their pain and their happiness in an entertaining pace that allow the readers to root for them. Nicely done, Ms. Banks.
Nora and Luke best friends since they were little. He grows up and becomes a famous baseball player. She works in the families cafe in their hometown. They talk to each other all the time until he gets engaged to another woman. She doesn't like their connection. He stops calling Nora. He's home at Christmas to see family and friends especially her. Read how they reconnected. Love the descriptions of the town, the cafe, their family and friends. Written by Cindy :(
I think this is the first novella I've read by Stella Banks and it won't be my last but it's not my favorite. Nora and Luke were cute together but I had so many mixed feelings about Luke. Like the whole reason why he left his ex didn't do it for me. I get it people gave pasta but if you knew you wanted that person, go with that person. Don't make an excuse about why you can't be together and decide to stay with someone else. Other than that, their story is cute and flirty.
Nora (h) has secretly been in love with her lifelong best friend, Luke (H), who’s coming back to town for a visit after breaking up with his fiancée. When Nora tells Luke that she wants to gain sexual experience and plans on using a dating app, he has other ideas and offers to help her gain all the experiences she wants. As the two friends spend time together, things heat up very quickly. Sweet and hot best friends to lovers Christmastime quickie.
I love friends to lovers EXCEPT when she has longed for him for years while he has screwed around. He was even engaged to someone else! "Its always been you".... um no dude it hasn't. You did your thing while she basically sat on the sidelines... at least be honest about it. " I'm done running around... we can be together now" But hey, he gives her butterflies and has a cute nickname for her so its all good.
Mountain Wish is such a romantic and sweet best friends to lovers novella! Luke and Nora are a gorgeous pair, always putting their friendship first. As a famous ball-player, Luke is still super down to earth and I adore how he loves Nora so hardcore. Nora is shy, compassionate and so caring, and she definitely deserves her one true love. Their reunion is so tension-filled. And oh my gosh, the commercial shoot!!! So delectable! I devoured this tale in one sitting.
Like cotton candy, fluff no substance. Mountain Wish is a 77-page Fit Mountain spin-off. 'It's a sweet story, but like cotton candy, it doesn't have a lot of substance. It is a quick, sweet read, but I wanted more of a story. I borrowed this book from KU and recommend it if you're looking for short and sweet.
Nora is tired of loving and waiting for Luke, so she decides to join a dating app. Luke can’t stand the idea of another man touching her best friend, Nora. But, is she just her best friend? Both love each other but they are afraid of losing their friendship. This was a very sweet and fun story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
this book is so swoony it had me kicking my feet, and smiling so much my cheeks hurt!! as a childhood friends-to-lovers girlie, this gave me everything i wanted—the pining, the stolen touches, the care, and all the adoration. luke and nora are so freaking sweet and cute together. i had such an amazing time reading this book!
Longtime friends, he is a pro-baseball player, and she is his hometown best-y. He finally makes his move just as she is done waiting. Very short story, "trop-y" language, but they are sweet to each other, which I love. All in all, it's a good story that sets up the next book well.
This is a typical romance story but is super short with almost no conflict. It’s very choppy and predictable. If you only have an hour or so and want to finish a story this is an ok option.
I liked this story of friends to lovers. Imagine years of being enamored with each other, to shy to tell the other person and then both realize their feelings are reciprocated. Then they get their HEA.
it was cute but if they didn’t mention something about a christmas party/coming home for christmas you would never know this was supposed to be a christmasy novella 2.5/5⭐️ 2/5🌶
This was a very nice read. A friends to lovers story that was an absolute joy to read. Luke and Nora made the perfect couple. Definitely a must read book for anyone
