I found Anh's videos during the pandemic and have been following her ever since. I loved her faithful messages and found so much comfort from her youtube videos. When I found out that she came out with a book, I had to get one for myself! And it did NOT disappoint!! I couldn't even get through the introduction without tearing up. I already know that this book will help so many others like myself, who need help processing all the confusing things and set boundaries with people I love. I'm still not done but this is the type of book where you want to take your time to let things sink in. So far it's a treasure trove of wisdom!!!

I love her YouTube channel - her devotional videos during the pandemic were wonderful - and I'm very happy that I was finally able to check this book out from the library. It was a great read, with very practical skills and activities to try out.

Silly me thought it would actually be about home renovations, like her videos (spoiler alert: it's actually an extended metaphor), but I ended up getting much more out of this book. I felt much more rooted in my relationship to the Lord and I'll definitely recommend this book to others in my life.

I preordered months ago and finally received it in the mail! The cover and artworks are stunning, but most of all, the stories had me in TEARS. I learned so much about my own experiences while reflecting on Anh's honest recount of her tumultuous upbringing and faith in Jesus. Couldn't put this book down.

This has been my favorite read all year! I love the way the book uses the analogy of building a new house with the steps needed in building your new life after trauma. Anh Lin does a great job weaving her past hurts, Christian faith, and what she has learned about the mind to offer guidance to those who desire healing and peace. I highly recommend this book!!!

Beautifully written and full of hope, and practical encouragement. Anh truly lives out the Scripture as she comforts others with the comfort she has received. Her honest storytelling has informed my journey and how I am now praying for myself and others to be healed in Christ’s work for us and in us. What a gift this book has been to me in this season of my life!

This book is so beautiful!! Anh’s heart is wonderful inside and out. I loved reading about her healing journey with the metaphor of building her new home. The imagery and pictures along the journey were beautiful. A really great read and beautiful book!!
