Rate this book

We keep doing and doing for God, hoping to erase our story so we can find our true calling. Free and Fully Alive is a powerful reminder that our stories hold the key to our true purpose, and it's who we are in those stories, not what we do , that is the secret to living the abundant life God promises. As author Karrie Garcia draws on her own experiences and her expertise as a life coach, she shows us why God's redemptive purpose for our lives doesn't begin once we're free from pain, and as we are vulnerable with God, ourselves, and others, we find that we are already who God created us to be. A vibrant guide to getting unstuck, Free and Fully Alive equips you Feel fully alive in the story you're living. You are meant to be here. In fact, that's the greatest purpose of all.

As I continue this journey called life, this book really broke down the process to begin healing. We all have a “story” and Karrie does a great job of explaining what that means in addition to sharing vulnerable stories from her past. She breaks down the process and science of healing that is easy to understand and ignited in me the desire to be free from all that holds me back. This book gave me Hope that healing and freedom is attainable.

This is a must-read book for anyone desiring freedom. Karrie is open, honest, and vulnerable as she shares God's redemptive work through her life and invites you to allow the Spirit to do the same in and through yours. It is the only book I listened to on Audible and then immediately after finishing, picked up the physical book to read it. Whether you know it or not, you need freedom, and this book will set you on the path to becoming truly Free and Fully Alive.

I really enjoy her candidness and also how she has pulled things together from the Bible. When things don't go well, there can be an assumption among Christians that you just need to pray harder, different, etc and things will be better. However, she does a really good job of pointing out what scripture says, balancing with real life and supports a reader that is going through a hard time with truth and grace.

Easy to connect to her story!

I appreciated Karrie's authenticity and willingness to bare herself to all who are willing to read. It's so easy to forget the life God wants for us because we're so busy believing in the lies the Enemy uses to stifle the voice of our hurt inner child.

If you are holding on to trauma, this book will help set you free through the Power of Christ. Seriously. Only when we learn to grieve WITH him, are we able to free ourselves from bondage, so that we can begin to live the life He’s crated us to live.

Holding hurts in one hand and honor in the other, with life’s complexities of having relationships with others. Good reminder of how God created us to be in community (safe accountability) and isolation is not God’s best for our lives.

This book made me think hard about the Trauma and trauma in my life and what has caused me pain and the decisions I make over and over again. It has made me look at the changes I need to make within myself and how I can strengthen my relationship with God to live the life I meant to lead and feel joy
