Eco-Anxiety: Saving Our Sanity, Our Kids, and Our Future is a timely, compassionate, and empowering guide that speaks directly to the emotional heart of the climate crisis. Heather White tackles one of the most quietly overwhelming burdens of modern life the fear of what environmental harm means for us, our children, and the world we love. Instead of drowning readers in despair, she offers clarity, purpose, and a way forward grounded in self care, self discovery, and genuine hope.

What makes this book stand out is its deeply human approach. White skillfully blends environmental insight with emotional wellness, showing readers that caring for the planet begins with caring for themselves. The included Service Superpower Profile Assessment is a brilliant tool that helps readers understand their personality, passions, and strengths transforming climate anxiety into personalized, actionable purpose.

With Erin Brockovich’s powerful foreword setting the tone, this book balances scientific urgency with practical optimism. White’s message is simple yet profound: small, intentional daily actions not only contribute to climate solutions, but also restore joy, calm, and empowerment in the face of overwhelming global challenges.

Eco-Anxiety is an essential read for parents, educators, activists, and anyone who has ever felt the weight of the world on their shoulders. It is insightful, soothing, and unexpectedly uplifting an anchor of hope in the modern environmental storm.

I picked up this book because I have a lot of eco anxiety. I think as a tool for folks who are just learning about what this means, or folks who are just at the beginning of their journey dealing with eco anxiety, White has a lot to offer. Personally, I didn’t find it super helpful right now, but I could definitely see myself picking it up at times in the future if I need inspiration for small actions to take

Solid book but it appears more as a workbook - disappointed in the fact only that I got it as a library vs. a purchase to fill out
