As expressed in other reviews, this book left me quite underwhelming after reading. It offers a large amount of others stories included with an unnecessary amount of figures monetary figures. Many of these inclusions fail to provide any greater insight/meaning into Mark’s messages and instead pointlessly bolster the length of the book. I was hoping to read about the emotions, thinking, and specific wisdom of Mark. Instead I purchased no addition substance beyond the referenced works.
Overall, read the Old Testament instead of this book if you seek the wisdom Mark preaches.
I wasn’t expecting too much from this small book of advice written by a successful public relations man, but at least I found little to disagree with. I’ve mostly practiced for more years than the author has been alive these rules of what could be called common sense for Christian living. Still, like rereading Proverbs in the Bible, it never hurts to be reminded about the rewards of wisdom and the consequences of folly.
