“For I have learnt to unfold the pain, That has kept me folded apart.”
'The Fabric of Her Soul' is a collection of poetry where the soul explores to heal the broken parts within her. This is a journey of her that we go through poetries. A beautiful collection of short verses, poems and illustrations.
'The Fabric of Her Soul' is a book that feels like yourself yet it is uniquely individual. What I like about this poetry book is it's very subtle on touching topics such as love, relationship, healing and overall mental wellness. It's not stressing any point of view, just telling us the journey and urging us to read and observe without passing any judgement. Some verses really touched my heart with their pure truthfulness and some didn't work.
I've been reading quite some poetries recently and the one thing that stood out common in each one of them is they are very intimate to the person writing them, and keeping this in mind it wouldn't be wrong to say that they are very subjective. Writing style is good, it has emotions no doubt but several of the works didn't quite sit well with me or they fall into a genre I personally don't like or some random stuffs I don't relate to. This book feels very personal and intimate and it connects you to your inner self in many ocassions. Overall a good read.
People are frequently moved to write a poem in times of extremity. In mainstream culture, some subjects are not talked about. They are taboo. For example, each of us is going to die, but we do not talk about dying. We are all in the dialogue of illness, death, and dying, whether or not we are talking about it. Poetry gives us ways to talk about it. This further leads to healing and poetry has helped a lot of people heal.
This brick is amazing in the way it helps the readers heal the small wounds inside them that don't hurt them physically but emotionally. As beautiful as each poem is in the book, it describes the situation that we are in or maybe, were. The slow-moving journey from pain to healing is lived in each poem. The language is captivating and binds perfectly the writer's mindset to the readers. It will feel like your own journey but somehow you will see it in everyone around you. Intimate and beautiful creation of love, healing, and wounds.
When I started reading this book, I knew that being a girl, I would feel many things that would affect my mind and soul.
This is a poetry collection book about her, her life, her heart, her soul and how strong she can be. I got stuck in my mind when I read one of the poems called "You" from this book. That is why people make books as their partner and healer when there is no human in their life who can do that.
"Let me take you to the realm of my imperfections, Where everything falls in place perfectly." I felt these lines because I have seen that phase in my life where I was always imperfect for everyone, and no one wanted me, so it overwhelmed me.
Everyone will be able to relate to this book, especially girls, because sometimes this world goes cruel to a girl's soul, which is where this book will comfort her.
If I got with the trend, I have one line to say - When God created women and their problems, this book comes in as an apology.
I want you to please enjoy reading, and let me know which line or poem affects you the most.
A poetry collection is mostly a portrayal of one’s feelings and a very stark depiction of human nature. For a poetry book to be one, it isn’t necessary for it to have verses and stanzas in it. “The Fabric Of Her Soul” by Sargam Sardana is a book divided into three parts, each dealing with a different aspect of life. Each contains some lines and stanzas of the ways of life and feelings of the poetess. She has brought out a beautiful meaning of life and love and individuality in her collection which is worth a read. You will be able to connect on several levels and some will just click you as simple thoughts that never found words in your mouth. Though it is a very short collection, it imbibes in it meaningful lessons which will make you re-read your favorite parts over the years.
I had a great time reading these poems and felt myriad of things. If you are someone who reads poetry but have come to see how hollow the poems are written now, this collection might be able to fulfill your expectations in some way. I highly recommend this book.
The moment I received the book, I fell head over heels for it. The images in this book, which bring the poems to life, are another thing I adore. Poetry offers us methods to discuss it. This ultimately leads to healing, and poetry has aided in many mending. Every piece of poetry is a soft account of the path from suffering to recovery.
The language is engrossing and perfectly conveys the poet's perspective to the audience. The beautiful cover and title make this book more attractive for poetry lovers.
I enjoyed reading this book's poetry, and I suggest all soft poetry lovers read this. Some poems in this book will definitely bind the reader into it, and they can directly touch someone's soul. One of my favourite poetic line from this book is-
“Let them see who you are, They’ll pity themselves for who they are.”
The book by Sargam Sardana is written entirely in poetic prose. The author expresses her journey through love, heartbreak and healing through her musings. The most eye-catching thing about this book is the cover. I was absolutely smitten by it the day I got it. In its entirety the book felt like having a conversation with the author rather than reading a poetry book. Some of her experiences felt so relatable that I couldn't help but stop and reflect back on my similar experiences. The other thing I absolutely loved about this book is the illustrations which make the verses come alive. Even though I'm myself not a big fan of poetry, this is one book I so thoroughly enjoyed.
'The Fabric of Soul' is a collection of poems that mostly centers around topics like healing, memories, heartbreak, self-love and admiration for nature. I love the tone and the atmosphere that the poet created with her poems. It was definitely strong and empowering for the readers to embark towards a journey of introspection and self-care.
Even though I like majority of her poems but few of them were really not so good. Mostly the poems are in the format of free verse, which I love to read definitely. But I felt a little disappointed to read monostich and couplets as somewhere they felt like being forced and squeezed into the book with no uniqueness.
Other than that it was a good book. Recommended to people who loves poetries 👍🏻.
When a girl is born, she is a token of love and a piece of art, as the poet has mentioned here, but from the piece of art to the coffee lover, I think every girl has few things in common, and coffee is a shared love for them.
"Coffee. it's a life in a cup and pep in the cream." This line shows the poet's power of connectivity to everyone's soul, emptiness, solitude and happiness.
The book is straightforward quotes or poems that reflect the soul of a girl, a woman, a daughter, a mother and a warrior.
Definitely a gift material for a girl of any age. Do read this heartwarming book <3
This was very first time I got to read from this author. And trust me it was worth buying. The book is so inspiring and motivational.
It made me thing sometimes few words or lines are enough for spreading a sense of word. Every poem can be relate to the journey or our life with a meaningful lesson to understand.
You can relate it to our daily challenges we face. And how those challenges can make or break us. A positive mindset can do wonders and bring us back from the darkness.
The fabric of her soul is a very well written and beautifuly knitted collection of short poems written by It’s a very quick read that can be read in one sitting but has profound layers of language embedded within each prose. Reading this book felt like a chronicle. The graphics were the best part of the book. The poetess truly has a way with words that reaches the heart I feel like Every woman should read this book because it inspires as well as soothes the soul.
My favourite poem was : “She paints the words to the Earth of pages, The way each constellation paints the sky. She has an artist within, The way humans have demons within. She owns the art of love, The way he owns her art.”
