Devil's Soldiers MC #4

The Devil's Temptation

Rate this book
Syn:
Stone Fox is the most aggravating man I have ever met. Not to mention, I’m tired of him throwing my K9 training career in my face as though I’m a threat to him and his club. After all I’ve done for them, the least he could do is stop acting like I’m untrustworthy. Of course, nothing is simple with that hard-headed man, and when he accuses me of something far worse, I’m done. And if he thinks I’ll accept his crap apologies, he has another thing coming. Suddenly, trouble comes knocking, and whoever they are try to shut down my business and take my dogs. I have no choice but to turn to the Devil’s Soldiers, and Stone, for help. But will I ever be able to forgive him? My body wants to, but my mind and heart tell me to run the other way.

Stone:
Our club has been through so much in the past few months that I can’t help but not trust our sexy-as-hell neighbor. Her association with the cops should have us all on edge. Which is exactly why I am an idiot and accused her in the worst way possible. Now, I need her to forgive me, while trying to keep her safe as our enemies shift their focus to her. And the more time I spend with her, the more I realize I was wrong. I’m going to have to do some major groveling to make it right. It shouldn’t be too hard, right? Her lips may say she will never forgive me, but her body begs me for more. She’s my greatest temptation. Now I have to convince her to forgive me. I just hope she doesn’t set her dogs loose on me first…

Each book in the Devil’s Soldiers MC Series is a different couple that gets their HEA. It is strongly recommended that you start at the beginning with The Devil’s Goddess because there is an overarching storyline that weaves through the series.

I live in New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and our two dogs,
Remi and Sako (pronounced Say-co). When I’m not writing, I’m
playing fetch with the dogs, talking to my parents for endless amounts
of hours, annoying the crap out of my husband, or just enjoying life
with my friends.
Writing has been a part of my life since I was about 12. I started
out just writing short stories or silly knock-offs of my favorite shows
or movies. Soon, though, I realized just how much I loved to write.
How often my mind would wander and think of characters and where
they could go. They became real to me, and I would start to write. I
used to fill up notebooks and pads of paper when I got an idea. It
would be an obsession, almost, to get on paper. Then, when I was old
enough to have a computer, I started there.
Now, I’m 28 years old and I finally hit that button. The one that
I’ve thought about it over and over again for the past 16 years. There is
no greater joy, or fear, at realizing you’ve just accomplished something
that you’ve wanted to do for so very long. That is my greatest accomplishment
and I look forward to hitting that button on many more.

This one drove me nuts in the first half. The arguing and sniping between Stone and Syn was just too much. It didn't help that most of the time Stone was an ass and half assed any apology he gave Syn. She was right to just pull away from the club, I was glad the women backed her and just came to her house.

The second half of the book was better. While I hated the threat that Syn was dealing with, I liked that the club had her back and helped where they could. By the end of the book I was even ok with Syn and Stone being together. But what I was most thankful for was the dogs and what a great job they did of taking care of business when needed.

These two had killer chemistry, however, Stone almost had me ready to smack him upside the head. I don’t remember if they ever discussed how he got his nickname but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was because he’s so damn hard headed.

He’s lucky Syn forgave his pigheadedness because frankly if I were Syn I would’ve iced him out of my life far sooner.

Syn & Stone

These who have an insane chemistry and they are by far my favorite couple!!! Syn is an incredible FMC who is fierce and fiery while Stone is a stubborn mule so naturally they clash on an epic level. There were so many face palm moments where Stone had his foot so far in his mouth that you don’t know how he’s going to recover but he does. It is definitely a hard fought love for them both as they open up and learn to trust one another. It is sweet and steamy and then frustrating when they take a step backwards but you just love them together and can’t help rooting for them!

I think what I like most about Emily’s storytelling is that she spends so much of the story building the relationship between our main characters but also building the family dynamics and relationships among all the characters too. You get sidetracked at times by the Coven’s closeness and their hilarious antics when around toys. And then you love the guys bonding and razzing one another too but all with their unfailing loyalty underneath that has you in awe. Yes, the mafia vs MC thread is always there but the story becomes so much more than the sliver of action we get and that makes the whole story and this world just more.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spicy content 🌶🌶🌶/5
Spice quality 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5

I have been waiting for Stone and Syn the whole series, and oh my goodness, I was not disappointed.

I was wondering where the story was going to go since the head mafia guy was no longer in the picture, but oh my, the drama in this book! From police investigations from crooked cops to other things that I don't want to spoil!
And the stubbornness between both Syn and Stone, man, this book had it all!

I can not wait to read the next book in the series. And while yes, it is a series, you can read these as standalone, but I would suggest reading them in order.

When I tell you that this book hits you in the feels, I am saying it as a warning. Especially if you are a dog person. I loved seeing more of Syn's work and the doggos! Along with Stone being used in a bite suit, haha. Don't worry. He deserves it =P

Also, the chemistry between Stone and Syn is explosive. This has been building over the series so far, and it was amazing to watch them both finally pull their heads out of their butts and get together!

The next book can not come soon enough, and I shall be eagerly awaiting its release!

***** 5 Temptation Stars*****
I love this series so much each book is just as great as the one before. I’ve been waiting for this book since the start; you could just feel the sparks from Stone and Syn’s interactions with one another. Syn is independent and is fierce and refuses to let what Stone thinks about her hurt her friendship everyone at the club. Stone refuses to see what everyone else see’s about Syn and is doing everything to protect the club and his family. When Stone’s mistrust crosses a line with Syn he may have pushed to her too far. You can feel the emotions between Syn and Stone’s with each page of their story. I can’t wait to read more!!!

I had to read this after the previous book because of the insane chemistry I had observed. Syn and Stone had the perfect tension and banter. He was so suspicious of her and that built up the angst that I loved. When he pushed too far and realised that he fudged up, I loved the self loathing and guilt. I was like sufferrrrr. The plot was great as well. Had good action and drama. Loved the family/brotherhood dynamics. The Coven and the fear the men had was hilarious.

Emily has done it again with another fantastic read in her Devil's Soliders series! The story follows Stone and Syn - it's filled with lots of sexual tension, drama and of course funny moments. If you haven't read this series yet, you're missing out!

Let me say that I had so serious doubts that Stone and Syn would actually work as a couple. Not because I was doubting the author's ability to write it,but because these two are the most hard-headed, stubborn characters in the series in my opinion. I wanted to reach inside my kindle on more than one scene and slap the crap out of both of them. But other than that, Emily has delivered a fantastic addition to the series. A story filled with laughter, anger, stubbornness galore, intrigue, romance, and slight mystery. Yes we get our beloved coven and the men that love to put up with there craziness. I do predict that Syn will threaten to sick her dogs on Stones behind probably more than ever before. I can't wait to read what happens next in this series.

I received an ARC for an honest review! Again another 5 star read by this author! I love the characters build up! The push and pull enemy to lover is so steamy! Syn is so strong hard working loyal female she is a K9 dog trainer and Stone does not trust her. She makes him pay and work hard for her forgiveness! Stone is the most stubborn and Alpha jerk ever! He does not trust Syn and when trouble come there way he realizes he made a bad assumption! He will have to work hard to win Syn over! We also see the Wild and crazy shenanigans of the coven which Syn fits so well into!

I almost DNF multiple times.

I HATE when authors make the MFC make STUPID decisions because she's a "strong female character", but she doesn't actually end up being strong or being able to take care of herself. I will always be annoyed about this.

So the mafia is after her and has a hit out for... reasons. And the MMC, Stone is like, 'let us protect you.' And Syn is like 'no, I'm not going to let the Mafia (which since they're Russian shouldn't it be Bratva?) Make me scared or ruin my business. Plus I have my dogs to defend me.'

Proceeds to meet a lawyer in town (of which she had one prospect on her but like... really? One person is really going to protect you against the "mafia"?)

Proceeds to tell Stone she will be going to get groceries cause she's going stir crazy. In which Stone says 'no, cause safety' and she was like 'look, I'm a strong independent woman and I'll have my one person protection.'

And guess what.

GUESSS WHAT FRIGGING HAPPENS....

The mafia/bratva comes.... And what does Syn "I can take care of myself" does?

Freezes.

Ok, to be fair, she did let her dogs out who kicked some major butt, but
one of her dogs, which was her defense against the mafia (she kept going on about how she doesn't need to come to the clubhouse because she has her dogs which will protect her) gets hurt and she's all upset about it.

YOU. WERE. GOING. UP AGAINST. THE. MAFIA. WHAT. DID. YOU. EXPECT?!
They were going to come up with knunchucks and candy and the dogs would go "woof" scare them away? Like.... guns.... duh.

The romance was meh. It felt rushed going from mad to in love. The mistrust by Stone and him realizing he was wrong and trying to apologize took up nearly 50% of the book and it got kind of tedious.

From little I remember of them, I do like the previous books :

The Devil's Revelation
The Devil's Reward

ARC REVIEW:
This is book 4 out of 5 in this series. ( book 5 is yet to be released). Let me start by saying I have not read anything else in this series OR by this author. Each book follows a different couple. That being said, while I was missing some backstory to the characters by having not read the other books as of yet, I was still able to read/enjoy this book. I would not recommend reading it as a standalone BUT it can be done. I am thoroughly impressed! This book hits all the tropes listed and I completely fell in love with our FMC. She is a strong, independent, take no crap kind of girl. Our MMC is a grumpy hero and I appreciate the groveling that he does to win back her good graces. The spice is HOT. There is tons of banter and humor sprinkled throughout that had me laughing out loud. Overall a fantastic read. I will definitely be picking up the other books to continue this series.

”Show me all that sirens temptation that I see when I look at you”

I can’t believe I am saying this but Syn and Stone are my favourite couple so far in the magnificence can’t put down Devil’s Soldier MC series, hot, flirty, sassy, dangerous The Devil’s the Temptation has all that and more.

Stone and Syn have always had a love-hate relationship and this is truly an enemy-is-to-lovers story, Syn the woman who takes loyalty to the next level just ask her best friend Sage who is now with Stone’s brother King but because she trains K9s for the police force, and has a connection with the FBI Stone believes she is working with them to take the club down but underneath all the hostile the heat is rising but heat and we know when devils men finally give in when they find the one not only does it get hot so does the swoon but the danger is rising once again for the club and the target is Syn herself, Emily Rose did a fantastic job bringing to live training of K9’s I fell in love with them, especially Bolt, the coven Devils women were once again in their element delivering that had me laughing out loud, watching the couple fall a joy an exceptional 4th book in this must-read series.

Syn and Stone start off as the perfect enemies. There is some obvious chemistry but Stone doesn't trust Syn. He's stubborn and loyal to his club (as a fault) and thinks her job as a K-9 trainer has her too close to cops.

Syn is fierce and independent and she refuses to let his opinion keep her from being loyal to her friends at the club. The two engage in frequent banter that is witty and full of tension.

When his mistrust crosses the line, Syn is done. With danger lurking and everyone at the club proving him wrong he has to fight to bring Syn back in, while also fighting his feelings.

The heartfelt emotions from Syn and conversations after Stone crosses the line were touching and raw.

The writing is descriptive from the setting to the characters. This author creates an entire world.

There are a lot of characters, but she does such a great job creating these that they are easy to keep track of. I love the entire club, they never fail to entertain me.

The pacing varied, it was sometimes slow and sometimes fast. If I was honest there were times when I wanted it to move faster, but deep down there was a lot of depth and beauty to Syn and Stone's story.

This series never fails to bring chaos, humor, danger, and spice.

Thank you Booktok!

Saw book 2 of this series in a rec on Booktok and immediately downloaded book 1, devoured the whole series in a space of 3 days. I was hooked from the get go!!

Great storylines with an overarching theme of MC vs the Mafia, each book is a standalone but to get the most out of it you should start with King & Crazy in book 1.

Syn & Stone have been my fave in the series though. Syn has her walls built up high and Stone has to really work hard to gain her trust after plenty of harsh words and actions.

The real heroes in this story are the dogs though!! I hope we see some pups in the next books 🙏

Takes a bit for us to get to the spice, but once you get there it's 🥵🥵🥵 definitely worth the wait!

I love the themes of family, loyalty and trust in this series and fighting against the fact that just because they're bikers, doesn't mean they're all bad and corrupt 🖤

All the men have seen how strong the love & relationship is between their parents and won't settle for anything less. Rose and Bullet are the ultimate couple goals, I love how open they are and close with their kids.

I’ve been greedily waiting to get my hands on this book. As readers we’ve been watching the heated and destructive relationship build between Stone and Syn. Stone is an idiot and doesn’t trust Syn, despite the numerous ways she’s helps the club and protected the members, merely because her work has her associating with cops. He is truly one of the most hard headed characters I’ve ever read, plus he won’t admit that he desperately wants Syn. Sun is awesome. She’s tough, smart, a dedicated hardcore dog trainer, and does NOT take crap from Stone. When he crosses the line she digs deep, despite her crush, and cuts him and the club off. Other elements are in okay like the Bratva and danger. Sun is in the middle of it and Stone quickly realizes that he was a fool and he both needs Syn in his bed and to protect her. Thankfully there’s a fairly good grovel (after he messes it up a few times) and Syn holds her ground very well. Mix in a nice level of spice and this was a great book in the series. I’m going to die waiting for Viper’s book in 2024.

Here we have Stone and Syns story - and what a story!!....

Ever since Syn appears, Stone has taken a major dislike to her and I'm not gonna lie - sometimes he really really peeved me off!! He seriously needed to get his head outta his ***!!!
But when he events does?....🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Syn moved here when her bestie Quinn moved and she has loved it, her friend circle has grown massively, her K9 business is thriving and she was loving life - apart from being around Stone!

But when danger comes a'calling and it seems she's the one who's in major danger, he soon realises he doesn't despise her, he wants her - big style!

All the crew is still there, friendships, relationships, passion, danger - it has it all and I loved it!!!!

I'm excited for what comes next because this series just keeps getting better and better!!!

*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review. 4/4.5 stars.

This was the book I was so looking forward to and it did not disappoint.
Stone as always not trusted Syn because of her work with the cops even when she as helped out the MC when people have come after their woman.
Syn as tried time and time again to make Stone see she can be trusted but he will not have any of it and so they have tried to say away from each other or they just say nasty things to each other.
That is until Stone goes to far and really hurts Syn so she says she is going to stay away from the club, Stone soon find himself in hot water and with more time he knows he has made a mistake. But Syn will not forgive him easy.
But with on night together he see its Syn that he wants and that’s why he as been the way he as because he cares for her and then when the mafia after her.
Can Stone save Syn and can Syn forgive him so can see if they can find love together or will Stone lose her for good.
August 3, 2023
by the time Syn and Stone’s book came out, i already hated Stone. and then THAT scene, and oof i thought there was no coming back from it. was so glad Syn stood her ground and made sure he understood why she couldn’t accept apology and his words wouldn’t mean shit to her.

do i think he could have groveled more? absolutely. but did i enjoy the scenes where Syn used him with her dogs. you bet i did 😏

i do wish we could have seen more communication between Syn and Stone talking about her trust issues and her past. we see Sage telling him and Syn self reflecting, but i would have liked to have Syn tell Stone these things.

also Rose always being the voice of reason. i def need someone like her in my life.

ALSO THE BEDROOM SCENE WITH ALL THE GIRLS AND THE TOYS 🤣😂 i laughed so hard and imagining all the men’s reactions 😂🤣

anyways, i’m ready for Viper’s book *grabbie hands*

Sparks fly!

Stone and Syn story at last! Dive in and watch sparks fly and lust flare as Syn, Loki and Ebony's lives are in danger. The club has new adversaries who are determined to take over the town.

Their relationship has been tension, distrust and anomonisty for several years. Stone refuses to believe Syn is loyal to the club, in spite of Syn proving her loyalty time after time. Syn is through with Stone's distrust and disrespect. "I am done." Too late, Stone realizes he has been wrong. Can he earn Syn's trust? The mafia has Syn in their sights, and Syn refuses to let Stone and the club help her. Bullet and the Coven refuse to leave Syn to face the mafia alone. Syn isn't just a neighbor, she is club family.

Another installment of the Devil's Soldiers with Viper's story coming in early 2024

This couple annoyed me so much! The majority of this book was the two of them bickering and not in a good way. Stone was an arrogant ass and Syn was just plain bitter. It took almost the whole book for them to get their heads outta their asses. And the way it ended there were too many pieces that were left hanging.

What’s the deal with the new player added to the plot? Really didn’t make much sense to add them to the last chapter.

I could have done without Stone and Syn’s story honestly. I loved Sage, Quinn,& Izzy’s books but I was quite disappointed with this one. No real interaction with the Coven either. I really love their shenanigans.

What really saved this story for me was the real stars…. the dogs. I loved Loki, Ebony and Bolt! Hopefully we will see some puppies in Viper’s book.

Stone & Syn have skirted around each other ever since Syn first moved in next door to the Devils Soldiers. Stone has made his mistrust of her very much known. Despite her and her K9’s help with the club on several occasions, he just can’t trust her. Her association with the club has now drawn a target on her back with the new enemy in town.

Stone’s attitude towards Syn is constant and after a confrontation where he is exceptionally rude and hurtful, instead of the throat punch he deserves she just refuses to have anything more to do with him and Devils Soldiers. Eventually, the pair are forced to be in each other’s company.
I really enjoyed this story, it’s full of action, danger, tense moments and of course plenty of laughs with the Coven.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. Not just because of the steamy heat between Stone and Syn but because of Syn's profession as a K9 dog handler. I trained a guide dog for the blind years ago. It was a lot of work but a rewarding experience as well. Therefore, I was instantly drawn to Syn over our bond of dogs. as well as her feisty attitude.

Due to Syn calling out Stone on his grumpy attitude, there was tension between them. Yet, it was only heightened by the attraction that they felt for one another. They both were a bit stubborn. However, when these two finally gave in to each other, it was so worth it. The steam that oozed off the pages of this book was HOT. Emily never disappoints with the steaminess.

I have been anticipating Stone and Syn's book and this definitely didn't disappoint. Stone is broody and stubborn and only see's what he wants to see. Syn is fierce, loyal and strong willed. When these two are in the same room they are always bantering back and forth. He always sees her as the enemies because she is a K-9 trainer. When Stone really chews her out in the middle of the street for what he thinks betraying the club she walks away this time with her heart broken. Stone can be brutal in his judgement towards Syn, when he sees she is in danger can he get her to forgive him in order to let him protect her. Both of them have trust issues and it is an emotional ride as they find a way to forgive and forget the past. I love these two together he needs a strong-willed woman to put up with his stubborn broody self. She is perfect for the job. What another fantastically written MC book. I have loved them all in this series, but this was my favorite so far. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

From reading previous books I knew Stone would be hard to like and I was correct in assuming that. This man made me feel anger I didn't know I had but trust me I didn't stay there. The way Stone was with his parents and the club melted my heart. His words toward Syn broke my heart, words hurt. Syn was simply amazing. She stood on her own two feet and refused to back down when it came to danger. This girl's backbone was incredible. She refused to be meek and mild causing me to admired her. Girl crush? Maybe. As the book went on I saw small changes in Stone and I began to fall in love with him. The way he changed and took charge of Syn was hot and demanding. He turned out to be just like his brothers. I love this series.

Stone and Syn

I have seriously been waiting for this story to come out. These two have been so much fun to see in the background of the other books. To say these two has some serious hot chemistry in the past and in this book is saying something lol. I absolutely love this series. I can't get enough of these characters and seriously want to be Rose when I get older. Stone tries to say he doesn't want to be with Syn, and Syn says the same thing about Stone but you tell they are made for each other. As always you have to love the side characters and their antics throughout the book. I can't wait to see what happens next. If you haven’t read any of these books you seriously need to. I promise you won't be disappointed but you might die laughing lmao.

Syn and Stone those two are just wow. As a fellow red head I know that when you make us mad you better watch out because its not going to end well for you. Stone once he gets his head out of his ass just gives it back to her 100% , The coven I love that group of women and wish that I had one of my own to hang out with . That one scene at Rose and Bullets new house had me about peeing myself i was laughing so hard. I was kinda expecting some more drama from the mafia guys than we got to see, so it makes me wonder how that will tie into Vipers story that comes out next year. It was all in all a very good read.

The worlds and characters this author creates are so good! There isn’t a single one that I haven’t loved and this was no different.

Stone is broody, stubborn and hot as sin! Syn is fierce, loyal and totally badass! Together they are an explosion of emotions. There is the perfect about of push and pull, the fact that Syn doesn’t immediately forgive and the fact that Stone owns up to his mistakes makes them so perfect together.

Like all of this authors other books you’re immediately immersed into the characters and the world. Eagerly flipping the pages to see what’s next. I’m very much looking forward to more from this series.
