Rebecca Campbell is a Hay House author, grounded intuitive, spiritual mentor, six sensory teacher and co-creator of The Spirited Project and one of Hay House's freshest voices. Rebecca has been studying metaphysics since her first awakening when she was a teenager. She went on to enjoy a successful career in advertising as a creative director before she was 30.
Drawing on this unique experience, Rebecca now guides Lightworkers to courageously answer the unique callings of their soul so they can light up the world in a way that only they can.
Jet setter meets gypsy spirit, in her twenties Rebecca blogged her way around the world as The Skype Nomad. She also spent a year of her life bringing colour to grey spaces with The Let's Colour Project.
Originally from the sunny shores of Sydney, Rebecca now lives in London but you can find her down under most summers getting her salt water and sunshine fix.
This book was not for me. I first read Rebecca with her book “Light is the new black” and then she launched her first Oracle deck “Work your light”, which made great sense to me and I started following her as a writer and Oracle creator. However, as the time passed, I got more and more disconnected from her. She went from a humble person in the search of her soul path, to a self-called master / shaman / priestess, as you may want to call that. And then everything started to be progressively commercial, far away from what I first liked about her which was undecorated and straightforward spirituality. Now it’s just full marketing and e-modities; so people can keep consuming her stuff. This book is no exception. It lacks depth, it’s empty. No soul here. No anything. It doesn’t quite make it for me.
This book is beyond powerful and filled with so much wisdom and support for these new times we are living in. I will be re-listening and re-reading this book for years to come, along with all her previous books!
This book is the perfect companion to navigating what it feels like to enter in & surrender to the fertile void of rebirth. It gives hope, compassion, & clarity for the journey of letting the outdated versions of ourselves crumble to make way for the Self we know we’re capable of & destined to be. I’m so grateful for the poignant messages & eloquent voice through which Rebecca writes. I think this book will be very important as the collective witnesses its own death & rebirth. Let this book hold you & remind you that every part of this journey is divine. It is all so sacred.
To me she felt like she was often repeating the same points over the chapters. When she talked about her story I could feel the power behind it but then it felt fluffed up as well.
I felt drawn to this book as I was hoping it would be a different perspective to soul purpose and understanding it. I feel it’s more of an empowerment book and the authors reflection on her journey and it wasn’t quite for me.
DNF at 10%, in 2025 my goal is to not force myself to finish reading anything, because I do not hate myself and this book was just not for me. If you’re a fan of the untethered soul or the power of now you probably will love this, but idk what I was expecting. Even though I was so excited by the title of the book, I did not vibe with this woo woo nonsense.🙃😔
🖤Your Soul Had a Dream, Your Life Is It: How to Be Held by Life When It Feels Like Everything Is Falling Apart by Rebecca Campbell🖤
Rebecca Campbell once again channels her gift for turning spiritual philosophy into tender, soul-centering prose. She reminds us that nature is not something “out there,” but something we are, and that remembering this truth can help us find balance when life feels chaotic.
Reading this was like exhaling after holding your breath for too long. It is poetic, spiritual, and deeply grounding, offering gentle reflections and practices that help you feel more rooted in your body and your surroundings. I especially loved how she speaks about surrendering to life’s intelligence, allowing ourselves to be held by something greater when everything feels uncertain ✨
At times, the repetition of certain ideas and phrases might test the patience of readers craving a more dynamic or varied structure. However, this cyclical, almost mantra-like cadence mirrors nature itself, the ebb and flow of tides, the turning of seasons, and makes sense within the book’s purpose.
If you’ve ever felt out of alignment or lost in the noise of modern life, this book is a quiet reminder that you are never truly disconnected. It isn’t about “fixing” yourself, it is about remembering your place in the grand web of life. 🌎💫
The synchronicities of this life are truly amazing. I purchased this book when it first came out and let it sit there for a while, not ready to open its pages. And then one day I just knew and I began reading slowly at first and then it was as if I was drinking the coolest most refreshing liquid and I couldn't get enough to quench the thirst of the message this book brought. I am forever grateful for the day I found the messages of Rebecca Campbell, the first Oracle deck I purchased, joining her sanctuary, and this book continue the beauty of her message. I am one of the dreamers she talked about in the book, and the hope that it gave me knowing there are others out there, all Awakening to this new way of living and listening to the call of our soul was immeasurable. I'm so grateful to her for her courage and bravery to say what she said in this book and I strongly suggest anyone who is on this journey of love and light, believing in the call of the soul and living a soul-led life, read and explore the messages she shares here.
This book was everything that I needed in so many ways. I’ve experienced a full term stillborn baby, experienced miscarriages as well. I have been in 2 verbally and then eventually physically abusive relationships. Recently went through a divorce. Have known friends and family were are victims of suicide. I have had a near death experience from one of my miscarriages.
I have wondered why I’ve had to take on so many burdens of this life. I don’t know any friends or family that have had so many life altering things happen to them in one lifetime. I truly feel like this book is the beginning to helping me understand why so much was given to me. And that maybe it means soon the flowers of my life will start to bud and blossom.
I thought Your Soul Had a Dream, Your Life Is It had some good tidbits for those in the midst of their spiritual journey, particularly those in the dark night of the soul phase. Most of it was elementary to me, and I thought the book lacked a cohesiveness - it seemed to me like a lot of mismatched stories around different aspects of the spiritual journey thrown into one book. Yet, there were some good reminders here and there that I found valuable.
I listened to this as an audiobook on Spotify. The author narrates, which felt authentic given she shares so many personal stories throughout it.
Every time I read a book or enjoy ANYTHING produced by Rebecca (I.e. her oracle cards), I feel myself awakening to more in this world, as a woman, as a body, as a soul and spirit. This book called out to me in a very intense and life-shifting time. And it reminded me I’m not alone, there’s such a deeper knowing and path that we walk on even if it’s not very clear where it’s going or why you’re going there. 🩷 thank you forever Rebecca. I may listen to this over and over again and perhaps buy and read the book and words on the page. Sometimes I would listen and drive but this book deserves no distractions or interruptions.
I’ve read all of Rebecca Campbell’s previous books and really enjoyed them, sad to say I didn’t enjoy this one. In honesty I think it would be a good read for someone just delving into their journey with this kind of topic, but if you’ve read lots of spiritual books and been on the path for a long time it may be a little basic for you. This was a DNF @ 48% for me, mainly because it was repetitive.
Rebecca Campbell's Your Soul Had a Dream... is a multi-genre book. Campbell incorporates memoir, poetry, typography, and reflective questions. She urges readers to pause, think, write, and reflect. The book can be read superficially, but if the message calls to you, you will go back and ponder her words and questions. Campbell shares the answers she found during her mystical journeys. Readers can be spectators or gather what knowledge and inspirations are offered to continue their own journeys.
This book was exactly what I needed in this rush and chaotic season. It was a reminder to slow down, nurture my soul and soak in the wisdom of the moment.
It's definitely not about rushed practical solutions on life or what to do pointers, but it will give you a path to connect with your own intuition and inner guidance.
Love the soul inquiries for writing on my journal though! Those are right on point.
Reading Rebecca Campbell 's work always feels like a kind of homecoming to me. It's as if her words and the energy they carry speak to the deepest part of my being and help me to remember deep truths that somehow I always knew but somehow forgot. Truths that connect us all.
This book is Rebecca's most personal work yet, weaving such truths together with vulnerable personal shares and mystical insights on how to navigate life through the death and rebirth cycles that invite us into our next chapter of growth. She speaks to topics that are not yet frequently written about, such as navigating what's sometimes referred to as a Dark night of the Soul, descending deep into the underworld of our being as we awaken to parts of ourselves that have long been asleep.
As always, chapters are quite short, interspersed with poems, and there are soul inquiry questions inviting the reader to reflect on their own experiences. This, together with the energy this book's infused with, makes reading Your Soul Had a Dream a transformative experience.
Having already had the experience of reading “Rise Sister Rise” and “light is the new black” by Rebecca Campbell, I once enjoyed this latest creation and really like the soul inquiry questions she has at the end of each section.
I would recommend to read her first books I noted above, prior to reading this one to get to know her first
It touched me so deeply, and gets better and better as you continue to read. She always puts words to everything I’m already feeling, and then takes it even a step beyond. A beautiful read for the divine feminine rising in us all. 💗
Absolutely gorgeous book....profound, wise, poetic. It's like a great big hug, acknowledging the darker times we all go through. I'm so appreciative when someone is courageous enough to write a book like this that helps heal ourselves and the world. Perfect for these transformational times.
Rebecca is a calm, focused and deeply powerful mystic who reaches deep portals with her painstakingly thorough oracle decks and practices. This book is a mystical portal and love letter to the journey of the human spirit as it connects to the Divine. Genuine and powerful.
Wowzers, loved this book. The first bit was a bit repetitive and wouldn't be for every reader, but by the end of the book I devoured every page. Very thought provoking and so true of the current times we are going through. Great read.
Some beautiful messages and insights, but a lot of repetition and not much practical guidance. Unfortunately for me, it lacked a lot of the soul that gripped me in Rebecca Campbell’s earlier works.
This one took me a while. Lots to sit and digest with. Not a book to read all at once, but I really enjoyed this reflection. I think I would like to purchase a copy and slowly reread.
Simplistic approach to healing and stepping into a higher timeline. A great book for those just starting their journey or those believing change needs to take place in their lives.
