This little book was a great addition to our Advent devotions! With a busy family of six with children ages 10-20, five minutes was the perfect amount of time to focus on the season together. Although meant to be read around the lit Advent wreath, we typically read it together before bedtime prayers once we'd recited the St. Andrew novena.

Each day includes some scripture, a short reflection, and - our favorite part - an opportunity to reflect on in which people or events throughout the day we'd encountered Christ. This allowed us to think of the kindnesses done to each of us by family members, friends, teachers, and even strangers. So often we may be grateful for those events but fail to connect them to our good and loving God. To do so together was a great blessing.

I'm looking forward to making this little book part of our Advent traditions.

This book was so great.
I’ve tried a couple of advent wreath books before, & they just didn’t work.
This one was perfect.
Had part of the daily readings, the O Antiphons, a reflection & asked the same two questions daily that sparked great conversations. You can also journal if doing it alone.
If you have kids, they can definitely be included. Readings & reflections are short. They can easily participate in the discussion part.
Loved loved this!
