Run and Hide
Ava, Caspian and Mothman
I listen to the audio. The narrators did a great job. Especially Caspian and his accent.
This story is mostly Ava and Caspian and a few with Mothman. This was one I never read before. Caspian is a sea creature shifter and the leader of the band. Ava is a photographer who tries to ignore her special gifts. Her mom is a psychic and her aunt has a tv show as a ghost hunter. Mothman is a furry creatures with red eyes and huge wings. Ava is doing an assignment where she is camping and Caspian decides to leave the band to go with her. They met when Caspian moved to the states when his father married her mom and when she met him he knows he met his mate . They run into the Mothman while at the first campsite. Not only do you get the interactions between these three, Caspian's band mates show up and hunters show up causing chaos. I found the story interesting and going to jump into the next one.

In this part it's mostly Ava and a majority of it seems to be her having relations or her wanting it. Which I don't mind but would like more of the other parts of the story. Then you have a couple from Mothman which I found funny because its him ranting to himself because no-one could understand him and when he talks to Caspian through his mind it's only one or two words because it hurts and Brandon is the only one who can communicate with him by ASL. Then Makwa not exactly sure what he is but he sounds creepy he has a chapter at the end. Then Brandon has his own chapter at the end explaining what he is going through.

So more Ava getting it on with her boys but you lost me when she wanted to ride Brandon to tame the beast because she had a magical you know what I won't write it cause then my review won't post but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about lol. I find that part ridiculous. I wish there was a bit more story line. But overall I did find this story a bit interesting. Loved when Mothman was raving to himself, Caspian and his huge ego, Brandon always trying to protect Ava and then Makwa which I might say the narrator did a really good job with giving him a creepy voice.

I hardcore love this series. I want more! The bonus scenes were not enough for me greedy little heart. I want more! I need more of mwaka and everyone. This was such a treat to read. To have all the books and bonus scene in one place.

The audio book was amazing. I thought the guy who voices Caspian did such an incredible job and I loved Michelle and the other guy too. I wish they would make a note on who was who, but honestly Mothman was great as well. While I did knock it down a little for the third book getting a little confusing with not distinct enough voices for all 4 MMCs, it was still so good.

I am 110% obsessed with anything Beatrix writes. This book was so off the wall, weird and fantastic. I knew a few things going in and to be honest, I wish I knew less because I was kinda confused on some aspects (for instance I thought the why choose was the whole band and it took me just about half the book, maybe longer to figure out this wasn't the case lol) and going in blind would have been so much more fun. (So maybe stop here and just go grab it!)
I am loving the MMCs so far. Caspian is so sweet and seggsy, those tentacles are H O T. He fell so hard for Ava and I adore him for it. Mothman is wild. Just his getup had me C A C K L I N G, I'm in love. And his protective slash stalker streak for Ava was amazing too. Beatrix writes some of the most amazing and unhinged MCs and I am so here for it.
This was quite the setup for this series and we're not even done introducing the rest of the love interests yet. I'm so excited to see who else is joining Ava, Caspian and Mothman and how the band fairs while along for the ride. I'm heading straight to Hide + Seek and can't wait to see what happens.

This series keeps getting weirder and I just keep loving it more. We're finally introduced to more love interests, we get more monster spice, more occult shizz and just more weird. It's great.
I really loveeeed the spice in this one. We finally get some multiple partner action and it was *chef's kiss* Nothing beats weird anatomy on the steamy scale. I debated this being a 5 chili read, but it wasn't overly spicy in quantity and still had a ton of plot stuff, so I went with 4.
I'm not sure sure about love MMC 3 hitting the scene, but he did start growing on me towards the end. MMC 4 I was hoping for, gave up hope and then oh wait, nope, this is happening and I can't wait for the real spice to begin.
All this talk of spice and I swear there's a plot here. And I'm really enjoying it! It's getting all kinds of spooky and creepy and what the heck is happening-y and I'm here for it. I'm so excited to start Seek and Find and see how it all plays out!!

Good gods, what a journey that was. I absolutely loved this installment of Myths and Monsters and was so not ready for it to end. I really loved how the Ben plot wrapped up and watching these characters grow together. So much monster goodness wrapped up in just a few hours.
The spice in this one was ramped up to level 99 and probably deserved 6 chilis. It was so good and there was no shortage of it. We definitely went a little more spice heavy in this one, but the plot was still strong where we needed it to be and so I was one hundred percent okay with this delicious development. I loved watching the guys explore each other intimately, especially when that delved into feelings of love.
This one ended up being such a squishy happy ending. I just love how these five ended up and honestly how cute and sweet they were. I am not quite ready to let them all go, so I'm really excited there's a novella waiting for me!

I really enjoyed this short story of Makwa and Ava. We got to see what happened with them while they were working on one of the haunted houses. It was nice and spicy and funny too. My only sadness with it was we didn't get to see her other boys and I was really hoping to get them all back in one place again. Overall though, it was a fun read.

Just be warned that if you read this as a complete series vs the individual books it is LONG.
Second warning is that these are ~real~ monsters, as in much of the spicy time is happening with creatures who are very much not even humanoid. (There are some shifter elements but only with a few of the characters.) Not a vibe killer for me but I know it is for some people!
Anyway I found the FMC a little annoying, to various degrees, throughout almost the entire book. She never really grew a backbone (maybe a faint trace of one in the epilogue) and never really stepped into whatever power it was alluded to that she had throughout the whole story. A disappointment.
The bi-awakening amongst the MMCs was handled really well, in addition to the themes of jealousy and possessiveness. All of the dynamics were really fun (although I'm echoing the one reviewer who said the Makwa/Brandon situation was a little weird) and honestly I loved all of the MMCs in their own unique ways way more than the FMC. BTW, if you don't like books where the FMC is not the complete and utter focus of the entire storyline, then this isn't the book for you.
The Mothman scene in the sky literally almost brought tears to my eyes. How lovely.
This was a first from this author for me and I've already downloaded a few other works.

This is a true monster romance; it's not a genre I tend to go for but I am glad I did as Mothman is an absolute gem. He is just so funny, and was the absolute star of the show with his snarky remarks and dodgy drawings. You can't help but be charmed by him. Jay Adler excels in this role and it is so deadpan; he was definitely my favourite performance. Michelle Price and Gregory Salinas are great too and they all flip between the characters really well in this dual narration.
Caspian is just on the right side of possessive and always puts Ava first; his growth throughout the series is my second favourite thing as well as how his relationships with Brandon and Mothman develop. Makwa was not the one for me though; I didn't connect with him and found him a little creepy when it came to Brandon but I did like this introduction and it was an interesting twist alongside the overarching cult storyline.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

I love this series so much! I think this was my third time reading it, it was definitely my second time listening to it and I still love it so much!
Beatrix always writes such amazing characters and puts them in bonkers situations leading to so much mayhem and fun.
If you like paranormal, why choose romance with totally unhinged but worthy characters then this is the book for you!
I love Ava and the guys. Each character had such a distinct and strong personality. Sometimes in these why choose romances the guys all blend together. That certainly wasn’t the case here! I loved each is them for different reason. However this series began my obsession with mothman so I’m pretty partial to him. Because he can’t communicate easily with the others his internal dialogue is so unhinged and I love it so much!

This series is addictive. I’m totally hooked on these characters and their journey. With so much happening and hot as hell sexy scenes that are on the “caution handle with gloves” scale, it’s a hit for me. A brilliant performance from all these great narrators.

Myths & Monsters: The Complete Series by Beatrix Hollow is a monster reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michelle Price, Gregory Salinas, and Jay Alder.
I love Beatrix's books! I devour the books and usually get done going what the heck did I just read? Can I read it again?!?
I was pulled in from the first book and couldn't help but binge the series. I really enjoyed getting Ava, Caspian, Mothman, Makwa, and Brandon's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I would recommend this series if you like monster romances, paranormal romances, erotic horror romances, or reverse harem romances.

What every monster romance should be
My favorite thing about this book is that every monster ACTS LIKE A MONSTER. They all have their disorders, their possessiveness, their anatomy, and their desires as monsters. This isn’t a beauty and the beast story where the guy looks scary but is just better than most at a cuddle. The books were great as they were released individually but even better when read back to back like this. And if I had any doubts, the epilogues really landed the ship. I would rate this book even higher if I could!!

Myths & Monsters is the type of Why Choose that I love. Where the group gradually gathers more "players" as the story plays out. Starting out with Ava and Caspian gave us the time to get to know them before we meet the other guys.
The story takes us on a high stakes adventure that has some wicked twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Sometimes I felt like I had fictional whiplash, but I loved the mind play.

I already rated the single volume parts of the series. So, I will not repeat everything here again. I only read this one again, because of the bonus content.
And it was worth it! Loved the Caspian prequel, Brandon and the Makwa story was great, too. It's a side, we don't got during the main story. So, I like it. And yeah, I would have loved some more. There wasn't any bonus content for Ava or Pollux. But I enjoyed it and. :)

The idea behind this book was really interesting and didn't feel like your typical monster romance. As the story progressed and our FMC meets more of her men things start to heat up not only with their relationships but also the horror elements of the story. The third book of this series is my favourite, it has the most character development but check your triggers if human consumption is a no for you.

What did I just read
Omg this series was none stop staying on the edge what did i just read books. I've always read romance novels most darker than others this series tho threw me for a loop I cldnt put it down. If they made this into a movie it would be #1 horror terror movie of the year. I am so glad I took a chance and read it. Girl you slayed this serious keeping doing you. Absolutely loved it and definitely need to read it

Fantastic Spicy Monster RH Trilogy
This trilogy isn't my typical monster romance! It has more horror and mystery that adds to the fun!! I think out of all of Ava’s monsters, Mothman was my favorite! He's so good-natured and hilarious!!! All four “men” were unique, with interesting backstories and appendages!😏
The narrators did an excellent job!!! They were a joy to listen to & made each character stand out! They elevated the experience!! FLOCKVIP!! PFP!
This trilogy isn't my typical monster romance! It has more horror and mystery that adds to the fun!! I think out of all of Ava’s monsters, Mothman was my favorite! He's so good-natured and hilarious!!! All four “men” were unique, with interesting backstories and appendages!😏
The narrators did an excellent job!!! They were a joy to listen to & made each character stand out! They elevated the experience!! FLOCKVIP!! PFP!

Sooo, it took me a minute to actually get into it. Not gonna lie, books 1 and maybe 2 had me like idk…… i couldn’t get into the spicy scenes like at all the only thing keeping me was curiosity. But I’m glad i finished. I felt like it was finally coming together because the scenes got better and the story got so much more interesting. Over all i loved the story and the epilogues really were a great addition because i think we needed those

I loved this glimpse into how everyone settled down. Gosh I sure hope we get more of the guys and Ava. In my opinion Ava I’d the best FMC, she accepts what’s happening, she had common sense to be scared when it’s warranted and can stand up for herself without being a Biatch.

Everything about this series was amazing. A perfect wild ride of characters and thrilling turns to keep you sucked in. I loved the story so much that even if you took all the romance out, it would be such a fun read that I still wouldn't be able to put down. The juicy romance seemed like added bonus hahaha

I was not prepared!
This book was wild. Loved the mate storyline, love the band and Caspian. It went off the rails quickly and I could not put it down. Wasn't expecting all the monster appendages but was quickly sucked in by the horror storyline. Wild ride for sure. Very entertaining monster love.

I started this audio and was pulled in from the first book and couldn't stop till the end of the series. I really enjoyed getting everyone's POV. It really brought the story to life with all the characters. If you are a fan of monster romances and paranormal, you will really enjoy this.

I honestly really enjoyed this. I enjoyed the plot, I am a huge fan of Why Choose romances, I like them spicy. It being a spicy story with monsters was interesting, I couldn't put it down. May not be for everyone. But it was definitely a fun read for me.

Very spicy
This book is great, it keeps you engaged in reading. It has a lot of spicy, mystery, and action. I loved the character development and the amount of descriptions on everything was just enough and not overboard.

The storyline began interesting enough. I was curious about Ava’s abilities and what would transpire, but as each book progressed, I started to become bored. Honestly, I feel these stories went on longer than necessary. Each hero had their own strengths and weaknesses, but all were drawn to Ava immediately. The steamy moments were entertaining.
Gregory Salinas, Jay Alder and Michelle Price did a good job narrating this complete series. Their portrayal of these characters really made the story fun.

I love this series so much! I think this was my third time reading it, it was definitely my second time listening to it and I still love it so much!
Beatrix always writes such amazing characters and puts them in bonkers situations leading to so much mayhem and fun.
If you like paranormal, why choose romance with totally unhinged but worthy characters then this is the book for you!
I love Ava and the guys. Each character had such a distinct and strong personality. Sometimes in these why choose romances the guys all blend together. That certainly wasn’t the case here! I loved each is them for different reason. However this series began my obsession with mothman so I’m pretty partial to him. Because he can’t communicate easily with the others his internal dialogue is so unhinged and I love it so much!
The narrator’s did a fantastic job! Michelle Price, Greg Salinas, and Jay Alder were all amazing and brought so much to these larger than life characters.
