To tie off loose ends, the Consortium tries to silence former contractor Rala Vaziri. Escaping the first assassination attempt, Vaziri enlists the help of NSA agents Alton and Mallory Blackwell in an effort to break up the operation before they can strike again.

The Methuselah Project by Steven Freeman

Excellent fast-paced thriller (set in Rome, Italy) as with the previous 14 books I have read from this author. He is a wonderful storyteller and comes up unique ideas (however fictional they my be) and fleshes them out into reasonably believable stories.

Someone wants to kill Rala Vaziri, and the former assassin knows who it is. The consortium she used to work for wants to remove her from the living and keep their secrets. They profess to have secret remedies and procedures that will prolong life. At a conference promoting those procedures for only the very rich, Vaziri and her friends, the Blackwells and Mastana, a young FBI agent, work together to infiltrate the conference and take them down before they can kill Vazari. In addition they will try to free the scientists whom the consortium has forced to work for them.
The story leads to action and unexpected twists. It is an exciting book with deep looks into the character's personalities. You will love this Blackwell Files book even if you haven't read any of the previous ones.
