Danger. Suspense. A story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A book that keeps you up all night reading because you just have to see what happens next...
It's what we're all looking for. The type of book that reaches out, grabs you and doesn't let go. Oh, it has its drawbacks. Nothing gets done. No cooking, no cleaning, no laundry. People call your name and you don't even respond. But it's worth it. Because you've found another place. Another world. And just for a little while, you're part of it.
I'm Cat Gilbert, and I write the Taylor Morrison Psychic Thrillers and the Molly McMurray Mysteries. In both series I try to give you, the reader, that experience. Characters you can connect with, a gripping plot chock full of action, danger, and enough twists and turns that even I have a hard time keeping up.
The The Taylor Morrison series centers around Taylor Morrison, a private investigator whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly develops psychic abilities. We're not talking X-Men, comic book, mutant type stuff here. Instead, this is the kind of thing you've always wondered about. Or at least I have. The idea that maybe we aren't utilizing our brains to their fullest. That maybe if we tried hard enough, we could do stuff and if we could, what sort of ramifications that would have.
The Molly McMurray Mysteries is a new series. The main character is, of course, Molly McMurray. There's a psychic 'twist' to this series as well, and his name is Kaegan. Who he is, and the role he plays, I'll leave to you to discover.
Having moved over 32 times, Cat Gilbert now makes her home in Arkansas with her husband and their dog, Clancy. When she's not writing, she spends her time trying to figure out a way to keep the deer from eating her blackberries and fig trees, experimenting with new Paleo recipes, and attempting to convince Clancy that playtime has to wait until she finishes the chapter.

In my book child trafficking is probably the most evil, despicable thing ever. As it is for Taylor Morrison. In this case a young, wilful girl provided the first vague clue. For Taylor, that is all that was needed. This day passed rather quickly as this book, Reign of Evil, kept my undivided attention easily, turning pages avidly, as this devil got traced and hunted down by Taylor and company. Author Cat Gilbert certainly crafted another fine action thriller, even with dash of romance added into the mix. Now, where did that come from? Enjoy.
I didn’t think a book could have such action and range of emotions. Taylor sure has come a long way from that private investigator who had lost the love of her life in a car accident. But, at heart, she’s still the same person; someone who loves her chosen family, and would die for them. And someone who believes in justice over revenge. Most of the people in that chosen group who have migrated towards her have her same values, except for one. After reading about the evil people Taylor is after in this book, I think I would lean more towards Matthew than Taylor. But what a great book!
Yes!!!! I loved the story as a whole and that ending has me bouncing in my chair! The team has some growing pains as Lars takes his new job and Jace gets a promotion to DC. The new guy, Talon, hits some rough marks and Matthew doesn’t work for anyone but Taylor. More lines are drawn when one do the girls they saved is back in New Orleans posing as Taylor and trying to get revenge. The core team is more solid than ever and I adore Rok. Trinity and Jonas have good news and the RVs and church sound incredible. Another great read for this series.
No revealing details! If you’re a Taylor fan, you’ll know what my squee is for! Hint: It starts with an L.
I devoured it, just like I do all of Cat’s books. Taylor and her team are after the bad guy, once again. He is a trafficker (I promise Cat always keeps it clean.) Taylor, her amazing team, her wolf, and KOR aren’t going to take that crap! The Reign of Evil must be stopped! I can’t wait for the next book!
They keep getting better and better. I couldn't put it down - bought it at 7:30am and finished at 10:30pm same day. The thing that disappointed me was that it was only 304 pages long and I have to wait until the fall for Book 7. I suppose I will have to start at Book 1 again. Keep them coming Cat ... love them all.
Five star series The Taylor Morrison Psychic Thrillers!
Great characters and a driven story line with natural dialogue and thrills! You will come to love all the individuals in her books for their strengths and their weaknesses! I know I will re-read this series, that places her on my keeper shelf!

Goosebumps on my arms!!! twists and turns bring more tension!!! this is Not a lullaby, Not a cozy, Not a romance This is a grab your chair feet straining to hold it all in Thrill ride of epic proportions. you have been Warned!!!
This series keeps on getting better and better! We see the tight family and the relationship of Lars and Taylor going crazy in this book. We also see Taylor trying to make the world a better place. Action, action and more action. It was a very quick read.
Following Taylor's adventures keeps me so involved. I've been an avid reader for more than 80 years and Cat Gilbert has delivered excitement and intriguing books, never letting me down. The added romance brings fulfillment to the stories!
Love her books and story lines. Lots of twists and turns. Still needs to run these books through a grammar check program. Such a good book shouldn't be tarnished by so many grammatical errors, missing words, and misplaced words.
This was another good book in this series. The plot kept you engaged, and the characters added depth. The pages flew by and the book ended quickly leaving you wanting more.
