IT ALL STARTED BECAUSE I NEEDED A JOB. A legit one that doesn't involve selling feet pictures or scrubbing toilets for minimum wage. I'm neck-deep in student loan debt and running out of time to find a gig to fund the summer internship of my dreams. Imagine my relief when I find a job posting for a live-in maid. The pay is amazing, and how hard is it to cook and clean? But there's a twist. My employers are three of the hottest guys on campus. Star football players Alex, JJ, and Moose, who need help around the house while they prepare for playoffs. Cleaning up after three football players isn't as easy as I thought. I mean, the housework I can do in my sleep, but as I grow closer to the guys, blazing hot desires and painful memories surface. I trusted someone with my deepest fantasies before only to have them rip my heart out. Could Alex, JJ, and Moose be different? Could they be exactly what I need, or will I end up crushed again?
Ready to Play is a spicy reverse harem/why choose romance featuring three college football players and a nerdy student who becomes their live-in maid. It's the perfect quick and sexy read this holiday season.
Nada nope …. It was getting too awkward for me. I think because she is a awkward person, the second hand awkwardness is rubbing off on me. I understand that she may have gone through something difficult (we are not really sure what that is yet), but I’m just not vibing with her.
I’m not one to get embarrassed when reading books, but she making it weird somehow 😂🫣
This book was just what I wanted! A spicy, forced proximity, college, sports romance with three different, yet sexy men!
This was a quick and easy why choose read with sword crossing which was completely unexpected! I loved how different the guys were, yet they complemented not only each other, but Nicole as a whole. I loved how they were caring and understanding of Nicole’s past and worked together to meet her needs!
This was a spicy why choose romance I highly recommend!
This book looks so innocent on the outside, I was not expecting what came with this story! Nicole answers an ad on a school message board looking for a live-in maid for 3 football players. It's good money and she cannot resist. The guys hire her and she moves into the house and starts taking care of them. Nicole had an embarrassing incident with her former boyfriend, so she's understandably gun-shy to get involved, but the boys gently and persuasively convince her. Soon, they are defending her when needed as well as protecting her from those who might want to do her harm. They give her a place to feel safe being who she is, which she has never had before.
I loved her relationship with each one of the guys. Who could go wrong with a quiet Viking with a dominant side, QB1 and the life of the party? Each one of them gives Nicole something that she needs that she might not have knowns, but they all help her to let go in one way or another. It's really awesome how they get her even when she isn't sure herself.
Ready to Play was exactly what I was looking for! It was spicy, it was a sports romance, and Nicole didn't have to choose between three very different but very hot men!
Her dynamic with Moose was probably my favourite of the three. I loved how well they fit together and how he could flip from sweet teddy bear to dominating Daddy in an instant! The chemistry between them was fire!
That being said, I did think the relationship developed a touch quickly between the four of them. I'd have liked to see more bonding to really give them time to foster the relationship between all of them. I feel like the book ended with more questions than answers and I was left hanging a bit.
All in all, it was a sexy sports reverse harem with a dash of sexual trauma for good measure. It was an enjoyable read and I'd definitely read more by Amelia in the future!
This was my first book by this author an it was really good. It’s a standalone reverse harem with lots of spice. I loved the dynamic of all the characters an the MM in the book was great as well. Alex,JJ an Moose are all so different. Moose was a surprise he went from shy to daddy so fast yum. Alex an JJ are two of the same JJ is the I do what I want guy an Alex is the one who is the softy in my opinion. Nikki was a girl who had wanted to explore her sexuality but her ex was a jerk about an an caused her trauma. The three guys who hired her to be their live in maid for three weeks basically have the same fantasies kinks as she does an she’s scared to let them in at first. Her ex id like to beat up. The book was great an a fast read.
Who knew answering an add for a live in maid would turn into something more, that’s exactly what happens when Nicole chooses to answer an add for a live in maid posted on her college website. This is a sports themed why choose novel that packs all the punches. It was great to see how all the dynamics worked and how Nicole had a relationship with each guy (Alex, JJ, and Moose) outside of the group but as a group they worked well together. Nicole takes a little bit to warm up to the idea as she has been burned in the past but with the trust of her new relationship she’s able to become empowered in herself.
This was the first why choose I have read in a while and it did not disappoint!!
First and foremost, I need a Moose in my life pronto!!
Nikki is hired to be a maid for 3 football players on campus to help them through the rest of the season and is instantly attracted to all three of them!
After a small a scandal with her ex earlier in the school year, she’s a little gun shy when it comes to the opposite sex and tries so hard to resist them but these men are not to be resisted!
The spice in this book was off the charts and listening to it at work had me squirming in my seat!
Spicy and empowering!! I haven't historically been into athletes, but I ended this book thinking.... or am I? Moose was my absolute favorite, but I liked the whole trio. A little something for everyone! I especially loved the normalization of doing what you enjoy and destigmatizing healthy open communication about sex lives. Also, snaps to a supportive female friendship as a side plot. Love the writing style, the occasional humor, and the good tension without the stress of characters having unrealistically prolonged communication issues or irrational decision-making.
You meet Nicole by answering an ad, she is looking to help for her summer internship, you meet her when she takes a job with three football players. You see her take indulgences with them, she has a dark past and it crosses over into the house and you see them take up for when she needs assistance fighting back. This is first book ive read by this author and i would recommend it for someone who likes why choose relationships with sports mixed in.
So for such a short book, it definitely brings the heat and the emotion. Nikki and her football boys are fun together. This is one of these books where romance takes a break. You can see them and how they work together but the whole process of falling in love isn't there. This was a good book and I loved all the characters except for Trevor and Allen... if you need a short book to read, then pick this up!! You won't regret it!!
This book is spicyyyy. One of those quick, easy but spicy reads that will get you out of a book slump like it did me! Now, I knew this was an RH, but I wasn’t expecting the MM in this but wow was it surprising in a good way! I love how each guy has their own personality but they all compliment each other. I also love that they are so completely understanding of Nicole and don’t shame her in her needs at all! I also enjoyed the situation of how they all kind of met/came together. Thought it was kind of different that 3 football players wanted an live-in maid vs. something like a meet cute.
Would recommend if you like RH, MM and forced proximity with 3 football players 🥵
This was such a good why choose, sports romance! This was the first book I've read from this author, and it will not be the last. As always, I loved how each character had a specific personality and it was easy to follow along without getting confused.
Really great book! If you’re someone looking to try your first “Why Choose” romance this is a great first book to dip your toe in! I loved the dynamic between Nicole and each guy and there were different reasons she felt connected to each of them. This had just the right amount of smut and caring love story.
