If you don't like to read about anal sex, don't read this book. If you do like to read about anal sex, this is the book for you. Because there is lots and lots of it. I think the plot of this book was to see how far a married couple would go.
I thought it was incredibly hot, from the first shower scene, with him coaxing her into something new, to the end. There were things about it that made me uncomfortable -- -- but if she didn't get mad about it, I guess I can't either. My husband and I would be having words over some of what happened. And some of the stuff I might have flat out refused to do. But ultimately, she really got off on it, so I guess that's what matters.
One of the last things they did -- -- I totally didn't get, but that's only because I can't imagine it would be in the least bit pleasurable.
So anyhoo... nobody writes smut or smut dialogue like Selena Kitt. This one might be in the reread pile for me!

An audio excerpt of the first chapter of Unfolding was my introduction to the works of Selena Kitt some time ago and I found myself hooked from the very start! After finally getting a chance to read the book in its entirety, my only complaint is that I did not find a copy sooner! Easily one of my all-time favorite works of erotic fiction! It is intense, thrilling and fast paced! A complete turn-on from beginning to end! Or perhaps I should say “rear end!” But be forewarned, this isn't a book of erotica! It is more like a novel length sales pitch about the delightful naughtiness of backdoor play! Trust me fellas, if after reading this your gal doesn't beg for you to use the service entrance, you might want to consider a trade-in because I think you picked up a broken model! And ladies, if you still bare even the slightest bit of reluctance to doing the deed, read on as this kinky little tale of taking it in the tail is obviously written by a woman with a profound fondness for the act of getting her bottom busted and she presents her story in a titillating manner that will leave you wondering why you are even hesitating for a minute!

This is one of the most erotic reads I've read that is definitely oriented to anal sex in all and I mean just about all it's forms, from anal virgin to anal sex expert in one long weekend For the eroticism of Selena Kitt's scenes it has to be five star. For quality of the story content more four star. It s a simple story of Charlie and husband Jack, in their thirties, where work, children, average often neglected sex life, and day to day life pressures have got in the way of their shared lust and passions for each other. Doesn't that seem a familiar place to many of us at times. Jack has never persuaded Charlene to try that deliciously dark and so often a taboo experience of anal sex. The time comes for him to exert his gentle dominance and insistence to at least try it. This is as close to BDSM links as it gets, although this book claims to be BDSM, it is lite! This leads to a weekend in a hotel, planned in fine detail to develop their sex experiences but emphasis on hers, from using toys, to vaginal fisting to eventually a threesome with a young waiter saving for college. All scenes beautifully described that you are there as close to virtual experience as you can get. Yes, this really did it for me. This threesome is also probably the most testing part of their marriage. Jack wants his beautiful wife to experience double penetration, she also wants to know what it's like. The elements of jealousy and possibility of damaging their close bond, his fears of this leading to her wanting a more open marriage all come in to play. However, there relationship is sound. Life will go back to daily routine, but Jack doesn't intend to let boredom and staleness take over. An occasional editing error nothing to distract. Overall this has to hit the 4.5 in stars for me. I recommend this to all adults who enjoy erotica, BDSM lite, not forgetting lovers of anal sex. I was extremely fortunate to have had this as a free read. I have now added more of Selena's stories to my TBR list.

There was a familiar concession as he slid slowly into that dark, private orifice, and while I had to submit, allowing him access to my tight, dimpled flesh, it was a gentle acquiescence.
This book started out strong - a couple reconnecting on a vacation without the kids now that life has gotten in the way of their intimacy. Once on vacation, it pretty much turns into a porno with a public vibrator scene, lots of anal, an assortment of sex toys, a webcam, and even a fisting. Then, there's a threesome featuring one lucky hotel bellhop.
The sex was smoking hot, especially at the beginning when the couple is reconnecting. It goes a little over the top with all the theatrics incorporating the toys and the webcam, crossing over into the territory of pretty much porn. I've found that it's hit or miss with Selena Kitt. She writes great sex for sure, but it can sometimes come across as cheesy or simply porn without plot. However, I did enjoy this book. There was a decent storyline, good writing, and a ton of raunchiness in a hotel room.
If you're looking for a smutty read to get off on, Unfolding’s a good one.

This was a really hot book. Charlie and Jack have the all American suburban life, kids , jobs and a nice home. Their sex life is a little boring so they decide to turn it up a notch or two with a walk on the kinky side. The couple hooks up with another couple and things get hot in this book. Charlie is eager to be led into new sexual experiences in spite of her nervous apprehension, and she is constantly grateful for the pleasure those explorations brings to their lives. I have read a few of Selena's books and this book was as hot as some of those although this book felt like it ended suddenly. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. This book was hot.

I’ve picked away at this book over the last few months and finished it. It didn’t get any better for me. I’d say: well written and edited, I just didn’t like the story. There was almost no communication between the husband and wife and the husband turned her, willingly, into a fuck toy and a porn star. I don’t have a problem with either endpoints, but I didn’t like to path the husband led them down.
This should probably be 3 Stars, but I didn’t like it enough that I’m going to maintain my 2 Star rating.

Well this was a real disappointment. Selena Kitt is usually such a good author with real stories. Full disclosure, I DNF’d this book because there was no story, just sex, principally anal sex. Maybe there’s a little story in the back half, but at 50% I gave up.
This is well written and edited, which usually garners 3 Stars. But absolutely no even attempt at a story garners at least a 1 star deduction. I was probably swayed when I read that there was a movie of the same name - don’t most movies based on a book have a story? Not this one. So disappointed, so an unusually low rating for a Selena Kitt book - 2 Stars. I’ll be cautious going forward with this author.

This book, like all of Ms. Kitt's books, is chock-full of awesomely dirty, taboo naughtiness! There isn't much of a story line but what plot there is does work well. The majority of the short story is descriptions of the sexual activities taking place between the husband and wife main characters. Unfortunately, the book ends suddenly, very prematurely with absolutely zero closure. Although the book ended, the story felt incomplete. However, if you are a Selena Kitt fan, I would still recommend that you read Unfolding.... I personally was inspired by some of the, "things" I read about! Although much of this book focuses on anal sex, Ms. Kitt also threw in some very creative twists including live web cams and hotel room service delivery boys!

Not Like Anything You’ve Ever Read
Ok, where do I start. This one is very unique in several aspects. First and foremost it’s all about the ASS. Yes, you read me right. That’s basically all she wants. All the time. Secondly, the first ninety percent of the book the sex is all husband and wife. It got a little boring but again unique. Thirdly, zero cuckolding, cheating or humiliation. That in itself earned the fifth star. So kudos to Selena for being creative enough to write something interesting but staying away from the tired old tropes most authors can’t seem to get away from in the hotwife genre.

A weekend away gives them both the chance to continue their sexual exploration and they enjoy forays into public sex and a steamy threesome. This book is unique in that is not only about the sex. While it is filed with burn the pages up sex scenes there is also a lot of emotion felt as Charlie and Jack renew their passion for each other and grow together as a couple while exploring new and exciting sexual experiences. I highly recommend this book if you're looking to read an erotic book that shows how a loving couple can reinvent themselves sexually while still remaining true to themselves and each other.

I just couldn't get into this. First, it's all sex. Usually I'm shallow enough to let that slide, but there were just too many awkward moments/dialogue that I couldn't appreciate it on a strictly porn level either. The husband says things to his wife that just jar me (as a reader) out of the moment, i.e. "Yeah, let's get all clean again, so I can lick your little a$$hole some more."

There are even some really sweet moments that I found really touching, "Your pleasure is my single greatest joy." I would have rated this a three for the rally at the end if it weren't for my auto star deduction that I do for all books when I read nastiness. That taboo place gets alot of play in this book. Husband and wife are settled into a routine with kids, job, and everything else that sex is on the backburner most of the time. Anal is introduced in the shower and now the couple has found that special something to spice up their marriage.
A long weekend vacation at a hotel brings out the kinky beast in both of em. Hubby surprises her with new toys and a non stop weekend of sexual fun and exploaration.

Anal sex anyone??? If the idea of that turns you off, you might want to put this one back on the shelf! A weekend vacation for a husband & wife becomes a sexual feast!! I don't know that I would read this one again, but it definitely took my imagination for a ride...A quick read with lots & lots of sex!!

The only problem with this book, is that I'm pretty sure there's nothing left for a woman to fantasize about. This book has it all! Nasty things go on, but oh so tastefully. And in a loving married relationship to boot. Selena Kitt is one amazing writer. You've got to read this.

If I had to choose one sentence to describe this book, it would be: Hot sexual exploration between a married couple. A book thick with plot and character development this is not. However, I enjoyed going through the journey of rediscovery with them. This is my second Selena Kitt work, and once again, I was not disappointed. A few scenes made me cringe, but overall, I really liked it.

It was an interesting read. This surely is an 'awakening' story. It was fun reading about Charlie's progression into so many different taboo's and loving each and every new experience she tried. My favorite part(s) were the flirtatious interactions between Charlie and Lloyd and when Lloyd joined them at the end. That was HOT! I also loved the addition of the live webcam scenes, too!

Holy mother of gandolph this is so naughty! The thing that makes this one good for me is the storyline, its a married, normal couple that discover after some years of marriage that they are complete freaks!!!

Plenty of anal sex, and a well-told story. I particularly liked the inclusion of the bellboy. It does get a bit repetitive after a while, but still an entertaining read. I'm not sure why Amazon classified it as lesbian erotica, though, as there wasn't a single FF scene in the entire book.

This book just hits all the right spots. Unfolding is more than just erotica, it's the journey of a married couple falling in love again after a monotonous life together. Jack and Charlie are just couple goals as far as I'm concerned. I loved their story.

There are quite a bit of sexy times in here and it goes from fifth base to a lot more (you've been alerted!). Some was a bit much for me, but you can decide that for yourself.
