This is the second sex doll book I've read in the last few weeks. And, let's be honest, Peter Topside has become pretty comfortable with his audience. Yep, my beloved Topsiders. All 8 of you. Not many secrets left here. When little boys begin going through puberty, they're like little detectives trying to figure out how to pleasure themselves. I know, I know, it's gross, but it's true for all of us at that age. I, for instance, have made sweet love to many foreign objects in my day...pillows, cushions, socks, rugs, shampoo bottles, and God knows what else I'm forgetting. Never understood the whole paper towel roll thing, but whatever. So, Jason Nickey took us on a short ride through the life of our lead, Lola, the living sex doll. Great internal monologue and a really vile, yet strangely satisfying journey as she experienced multiple suitors and several types of awakenings. Not sure that I'd spend a chunk of change on a sex doll, but who the hell knows what sort of kinks I may find myself enjoying down the road. I had a very enjoyable time here, but just wish it was a little longer. Not by much, but just enough to space out some of the plot points to allow the reader to fully process certain ideas before moving on to others. If you're in the mood for some awkward sexual situations, with a dash of violence and horror, this should be on your to-read list.

A short tale focusing on when true love goes horribly wrong, even when it involves living, breathing sex dolls!

Great fun, lots of gory, brutal action and full of imaginative escapism.

Well worth a read - recommended for fans of full-on, fantasy horror.

Nathan has a custom made sex doll hidden away from his wife and son in the den! He spends more and more time with her and it soon becomes more than just sex…
But, when she is eventually discovered, firstly, by Nathan's son, and then his wife, something needs to be done. She needs to go!

When she is then subsequently brought to life, Lola practices being human so she can return to her lover, but that's not all she practices…
Never mess with a woman scorned, especially one that has acquired some pretty nifty and unforgiving payback techniques!!

Told respectively from Nathan's and Lola's points of view, this makes for an interesting twist on a short, smooth flowing, fun and bloody revenge story!

Judging by this story, Jason is definitely one to watch....

I've read a couple stories from Jason Nickey and I am blown away that he is new writer. His stories read like he's been writing his whole life, or he's just a born natural. His next release, Night of the Living Sex Doll is another fantastic read in what is sure to be a long line of great reads.
To a certain degree you can deduce what this story is about, it clearly states it in the title. But believe me, you can't begin to imagine where he takes this story. I read this in one sitting, once I started in I just couldn't stop, I had to know how this would resolve. I highly recommend checking out this dark and depraved little horror book!

I had the pleasure of listening to this as an audiobook - narration done by author Carietta Dorsch. Love the voices that she creates for the characters and brings them to life. Jason Nickey wrote a wild little story filled with rage, revenge and bloodshed. No one was safe in this tidbit of horror and honestly - good for her. Happy reading! 📖🎧

Brutally fun!

Loved this story! I've never read a story about a sex doll coming to life so this was a unique read for me. I enjoy Nickey's writing style and this book was no exception. Not super extreme, there's plenty of gore to keep even the most die hard of extreme horror fans entertained.

In this story we follow Nathan, when he spends a pretty penny on making his perfect “girl” he becomes obsessed. Pushing his family aside he falls in love with his new “girl”. One thing leads to another and he snaps out of his ways and tries to reconnect with his family, But his doll (Lola) isn’t willing to give up on them yet.

This was such a fun read. The characters were well thought out for the length of the book, and the imagery was done really well. Such a fun take on a feminine revenge story!

Having loved another book from this author, I was excited to see what this short story had in store given the title. I honestly didn’t expect to feel so emotional and root for a sex doll LOL!

This is a short read, or listen in my case, well narrated by Carietta Dorsch, with a simple storyline that takes an unexpected path, but one that I was so waiting for! I loved how the author plays with the revenge trope and gives the reader a satisfying ending.

The author expertly takes a dull object and makes it alive, so much so that the whole plot becomes credible. This is a perfect novella if you’re short on time but you still want to read something worthwhile. One thing is sure, I’ll never think about sex dolls in the same way!

Thanks to the author for the audiobook and this is my honest opinion.

Picked this one up because of the title and concept. Gotta love a sex doll revenge story! Oh the horrors those poor sex dolls have probably witnessed. lol

This was okay. I don't know that I'd say it was "scary". More just freaky and amusing.

I did feel bad for Parker the most, I think. Poor teenage kid was just doing what teen boys do and got killed for it.

Anyways, it was alright. Definitely an amusing little story. I'm not sure that I'll pick up more from this Tidbits of Terror series, none of the others jump out to me.

This story explores the themes of how we treat our 'objects' as well as ourselves. More than just some dude and his custom built sex doll, it's a look at obsession and attachments. Plus it's got sex and violence, which is always a plus. I really enjoyed this one.
