From the introduction, I had high hopes for this book and unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. As a beginner's guide to the principles of Maat, it is sufficient but further reading is required. This book could of been half the length but the author has a habit of repeating paragraphs over and over again. An interesting but average read.

This book felt more like a series of smaller publications strung together. There was good information and interesting facts. I didn't get much out of it.
I enjoyed this book. Even though I am not a beginner regarding Ma'at, I learned something new reading the book, and I think it is a good reference to have in my library. IF a beginner were to read it, I think it would be clear and easy to understand.
If this had been properly edited, it would only be about thirty pages of information. The author constantly repeats herself, sometimes multiple instances of the same core idea within two or three paragraphs of each other.
That being said, this book can be skimmed for some relevant information for beginners to Kemeticism: how to build an altar, how to pray, the core principles of Kemeticism, some (not all) of the most popular among the Netjer, and some compare and contrast between Christianity.
This is DEFINITELY not the best resource for a beginner pagan/kemetic, but it could have its place in lieu of more expensive options because of its very low price which is why I gave it a 3 instead of a 2. If this book was priced at $10 or higher I'd say skip it entirely, but as of right now it's $3 to buy and free on Kindle Unlimited.
