Cry Havoc

Rate this book
They have lost everything. That’s what makes them dangerous.

Their allies are scattered and broken, at a time when the world needs them the most.

They must unite one more time… for one last fight.

In the aftermath of heavy defeat and tragic loss, GlobaTech remains the only thing standing between an unrelenting enemy and millions of innocent lives.

But when they discover a threat that will change the course of history forever, they must do whatever it takes to stop it. No matter the cost.

A breathtaking conclusion to both the GlobaTech series and the overarching Thrillerverse storyline, this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime novel. A masterclass of long-term storytelling that cements the author as one of the very best in the genre. Simply unmissable.

A Fantastic Series Sorry To See It Go As It Has Given Me A Great Deal Of Pleasure

It is always a sad thing when an Author, for whatever reason, brings an excellent series to a close, (and that’s as much of a “spoiler” as you will get from this review).

James P. Sumner is an outstanding author, and a master storyteller. He has given me throughout the years a great many hours of excellent reading even before I became an Advanced Copy Reader for him. His writing is always clear, and concise. His characters fully developed, and his villains, as villainous as they can get, but always believable. “Cry Havoc” is no exception, and a book I can most HIGHLY Recommend, and do so with complete “HONESTY”, Though I do have a caveat:

“This is book #4 of the “GlobaTech Series, and in my opinion will be most thoroughly enjoyed if it is read as such (i.e., as the last book).

For as For as William Shakespeare wrote in “Julius Caesar” "Cry 'Havoc!', and let slip the dogs of war."

I HIGHLY Recommend This Book to all who enjoy an extremely well written “TechnoThriller”.

Julie has found herself filling shoes she never thought she would as the new head of GlobaTech.
The aftermath of the war with Orion International almost destroyed GlobaTech as well and it is up to Julie to gather the tatters back into a coherent force again
Yet, Orion seems to be surviving too, also with a new person at the head. A woman too. But the question is whether she is just a figurehead or a new force as well as it becomes evident that once again these two organisations are heading for a war. And Orion might very well have the edge here what with the Nemesis crew assisting their cause.
Cry Havoc is aptly titled as author James P Sumner draws you once again into a breathtaking tense thriller that will definitely rob you of your sleep.
Enjoy.

Obvious issues, complex solutions

The biggest issue with the whole series, is that it runs parallel to the Adrian Hell series and if you've read that, you know how these books turn out at a high level
They do provide the details and they are interesting, but the majority of any suspense that would normally be there is lost
The finale is pretty good, very action packed, but with one major flaw. They need to stop a rocker from taking off. Rockets are fragile things, really fragile. A .22 round could possibly cause enough damage to stop the take off and yet these guys have far bigger and better at their disposal which they fail to use. Without spoiling it, it begs the question how complicated do you need to make the simple things?

So I have now finished this entire series and all I can say is, if you haven’t and this type of genre is your bag, read it!
The ending has left me saddened and happy to be honest. The author, throughout, has never shied away from making big decisions with regards to the world he created and that kept up right until the end. This meant that the twists and turns that were put in, kept you guessing all the way through.
I think the best thing I can say about these books, is that despite reading all 16 in the series in the last 3 weeks, I still want to read more about the characters that have been created and I can’t wait for the next one.

Bittersweet

I won't give away any details of the story because I don't want to spoil it if you haven't read it yet.
All I will say is that it's been a 'Hell' of a ride with the 'Thrillerverse' series of Adrian and Globatech combined. It's not the happy ending I'd like for all my favourite characters but I guess it's the best we could have expected.

It's been great James, thanks for the journey and I look forward to reading whatever comes next.

Pretty Good.

Don't get me wrong, the action and speed was good as always. But what was with all the emotional stuff. It felt a little heavy handed. And some of the dialogue was a bit silly, especially Ruby's at times. Felt a bit forced and little soft. I know getting into the minds and struggles of characters is needed, but these emotions didn't seem to fit sometimes. Overall a good book though.

Wow !!! having just read my AR copy I'm at a loss to put into words that would adequately describe this the final Globetech book from start to finish, an action packed thrill a minute, nail biting finale well worth reading and comes very highly recommended by me. Buy and savour a fitting end to this series I don't think you will be disappointed

Another great read. Really sad when a series comes to an end. I have enjoyed every Adrian Hell book and the GlobaTech books were the cherry on the cake. A massive pat on the back for the author, James P Sumner. I hope we meet again very soon through your writing. Every book was a well deserved 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Totally Intense!!!

The one thing I can always count on from a Sumner story is the intensity of the action. This one was the culmination of many such occasions.

My only disappointment is that this all had to end, but I understand that the author is on to other projects. I will be looking forward to them.

Fast is slow and slow is smooth…

What an epic adventure, Adrian Hell Hughes and a company of the Honorable , Baddest Bad Asses that came together in a series of books I’ll never forget !! But I’ll read again to enjoy the thrillverse ride. And who knows maybe David Joshua DeSouza will show up in the future… Thank you James P. Sumner.

This is the last book in the series and it pulls together all the the plot threads from the previous books in the series. There is action aplenty in the book as usual. There are some good twists and turns in the plot. It is an easy well written read.

Dramatic conclusion!

There is so much sacrifice by the few, for the many. This was not the ending I expected, but it sure is a hell-raising one! The author has wrapped up a very entertaining series.

Another excellent addition to the series, ties up a lot of loose ends, and IF the author wanted to continue/start a new series, he even left a little post-scene for you to ponder the future

oh my

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and at the end I shed a few tears. Very sad ending although it was to be expected. Highly recommend the whole series,

As this this Globaltech series comes to an end, it is definitely a non stop action adventure that will leave you exhausted ! After Adrian’s death everything is in turmoil and it soon becomes evident that Quincy Hall is still pushing the buttons. Without support from the president Julie, Linc, Collins and Ruby are left to bring him down. I guarantee you will not be able to put this book down. Always awesome cast of characters, non stop action and a storyline so intense you won’t be able to put this BP down ,
