DEMONS is a horror novella inspired by classic monster stories, current events, and man's never-ending battle with inner demons.
NED TYLER, his wife SALLY, and their young son JUSTIN live in Uxbridge, a small, remote town in southeast Texas. Stress and depression have made Ned lash out at his family in the past, and he feels guilt because of it.
One day, a strange storm cuts off the town from the outside world. Dozens of townsfolk transform into nightmarish creatures and kill everyone around them. However, there is something much worse lurking in the dark. Something that thrives on the darkness inside us all. Ned fights to keep his wife and son alive and overcome his own inner demons.
Despite its monsters-rampaging-through-town premise, DEMONS is smart, original, and gripping. The story is fast-paced, but grounded by realistic and memorable characters most adults will relate to.
For the first time, I have read a horror book by a Bangladeshi writer. I finished reading the book within two days. Loved the way he kept the suspense till the end. Especially I admired the part where he linked the horror with the negative human emotion and correlated them. I hope he will write more books in the future.
This book has all the things your average horror book should have. Its so underrated it hurts. Not many people read this book, but I can assure its worth the money. I spent the entire day reading it, and finishing it. Yeah, it was that good. I was wondering how the author would turn the story around, but he did, boy he did. It deserves more than five stars, but goodreads wont let me do that
