Ohhhh! For all you lovers of achieving a poised and inspiring life sprinkled with little bits of happiness... well, dear loves, have I got a wonderful read for you to add to your TBR list!

I dove into this book wanting to undergo a pleasurable reading experience- and it heartily delivered!

"Romanticize Your Life: 365 Simple Ways to Embrace the Beauty of Every Day" by Harper Celebrate has come on the scene and shaken all my chic/poise loving senses.

Do I get easily impressed by much... no! (Well, maybe some flavourful chicken stuffed tacos and a scary movie night may do the trick!) This book drew me in with the way it took the concept of uplifting the every day with an original spin. Check out that cover and title! The word "romanticize" sugar-coated my thoughts and immediately made my mind ready to read about the loveliness that life has to offer.

The cover is a refreshing- different from the usual "uplifting" covers I see. It's the kind of cover that adds some spices to the reading mix, but ohhhh! It's the interior of the book that is absolutely smashing! Very well done! Very detailed! Lots of fabulous care from the author. I want to see that meticulous attention when I am reading these kinds of books. It's cinematic- and I LOVE that! (Honestly, I can get bored very easily with these books as they are pretty repetitive- thank heavens this passed with flying covers!)

The writing is fabulous too! We receive special, uplifting quotes, illustrations and prompts reading this book. I felt motivated! It organized my thoughts in a streamlined manner, easy to follow with lots of advice- without being "guru-like."

365 daily tidbits to encourage you to enjoy an inspiring life!

A definite must read! Thank you to Harper Celebrate for an advanced copy this enchanting book which is anticipated to be released on September 12, 2023! All opinions expressed in this review are solely my own.

I enjoyed some of the suggestions in this book, but ultimately it seemed a little bit self-defeating in the format. Tying oneself to a book for 365 days to be told each day how to romanticize one's life doesn't feel that authentic – and a lot of the suggestions, especially the financial ones, seem far removed from the idea of romance. Perhaps the book would have made more sense if it was titled something to do with self-care rather than romance.
I think the concept would also have been better served without the day-by-day breakdown. Instead, chapters on general concepts like connecting, relaxing, exploring, and mindfulness could have laid down principles that a person might choose to take with them and apply in their own unique way. But really, this treatment of the subject ends up feeling more like just a to-do list... not very inspiring, and not even very usable.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Celebrate for this digital review copy.

Practical and no nonsense prompts for a better purposeful approach for us, ourselves and Is. Yes to this!

Just keep this book with you. You never know how such a book can save you any day. I have gone through so many phases where a book like this saved me out of nowhere when no one else could.

Advice from another human being is okay but we as human beings tend to listen more to ourselves when we reflect on ourselves more than we listen to others even when we know they really care for us.

Yes, books like this matter. A lot.

Thank you, Harper Celebrate, for the advance reading copy.

♥️The book is available now! Grab one for yourself and another for another woman/girl you care about.

Thank you to Harper Celebrate for providing this NetGalley copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've been fascinated by the idea of "romanticizing my life" for awhile now, and most of that interest, of course, started with social media. Like many people, I find it comforting to watch videos of my favorite influencers looking for and creating romance in their every day lives, whether that's by doing something relaxing (like taking a solo, aesthetic picnic in the park), or adventurous (like trying to cook a new, complex recipe from another culture). The idea of these videos is to remind people that there is beauty in the every day- that all the things we're looking for in life can be found in practicing intentionality and mindfulness, even in the moments that feel mundane. Prior to this book, I was a passive consumer of the "romantic lifestyle." After reading, I feel inspired to see how these practices can potentially change my own life.

Romanticize Your Life is a guide offering a year's worth of thoughtful activities and reflections you can do to find the beauty in the every day. Like I did, you can finish this book in a few hours and leave with empowering reflection prompts, tools, and quotes to add into your everyday life. However (speaking of romantic, whimsical practices): my personal recommendation is to DATE this book. Go on walks with it. Have morning conversations with it. Take notes with it and take note of the questions that it brings up in you.

Believe me- there are so many reasons why you would want to date this book. For one, it is the definition of a light academia read, from the aesthetic to the content. Inside the book, each daily reflection is paired with creative practices for romanticization, as well as playful, Victorian art pieces showing various characters resting, reflecting, and trying out some of the mentioned tools (aside: I appreciated the racial diversity in these pictures!).

If you're a history nerd like I am, you'll enjoy the various informative passages about the Romantic movement's history and origins, complete with a reference list at the back with additional resources to check out. I left this book with a long list of things to look up, reflect on, and apply going forward, which is refreshing seeing as how I read a LOT of self help books and sometimes it feels like they're saying the same thing. I have definitely never thought about some of the ideas mentioned before, which was refreshing! Finally, I really enjoyed the way the suggested habits built on top of each other in each new reflection. It supplied me with a sense of progress that made me want to keep thinking up new and better ways to use some of these practices.

All that being said- what a delightful read. I would absolutely recommend this book and I will definitely be getting a copy for myself and my friends.

Aesthetically pleasing but that's about it. I'm disappointed that such a good-looking book actually offered so little value.

Most of the tips are very basic, surface-level and repetitive e.g. picking your theme song of the month, creating a mood board, going for walks. I don't need a book to tell me that. It also feels like random quotes by famous people are also simply plonked in for filler content.

Still, there were a handful of good reminders such as mapping out favourite spots in your neighbourhood, cleaning out your fridge and showing gratitude. April 10 tops the list for me:

I also adored the book's charming vibes and pretty illustrations, but overall it was a forgettable read.

Thank you Harper Celebrate for the Netgalley ARC.

It was OK. The content was rather repetitive and not particularly compelling. I took a few good ideas away from it so I’m going to rate it 3.5 stars.

I love the daily prompts and challenges that this book proposes, mostly because they're all simple, easy, and effective. I'm looking forward to referring to this book throughout the seasons. Romantaticizing your life is a trend I can always get behind! I love the idea of taking the time daily to romantasize the little moments. In our social media culture it can be easy to comapre your life to others and lose out on what is truly beautiful in your own life.

Romanticize Your Life by Harper Celebrate aims to aid you in romantacizing something daily and doing various tasks to accomplish this. As a reviewer I couldn't simply just do every single task in the book over the next year to give it a full and more accurate reivew. So, I want to make sure that its clear that I am basing my review more so on the content and what it may lead your year to look like.

I wanted to love this more then I did. Again, I did not complete it in the way that was intended but I did take a good look at the contents inside and found them to be a bit off touch to what I expected going into the book. I thought, based off the synospis, that these would be ways to romanticize moments of your life and not tasks that require you to spend money or go out and do something specific.

The main problem with this is that you can' t just drop everything to follow a prompt or plan around it because you theratically don't know what your're getting into until that day. This might not be a problem for some people especially if they take a glance ahead and see what is going on. It would be as easy as altering a thing here or there or switching up the scheduled.

I did like that there were different categories for the day and then you would have a better idea of what was going on. I don't think this is something that I would go out of my way to recommend to somebody or necessarily gift without it being the right person.

Thank you to the publisher for an advance reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

free e-ARC provided to me by the publisher and NetGalley for reviewing purposes.

This was not for me. I hoped it would be, as I'm interested in slower living, spending less time on screens, enjoying my everyday tasks, romanticizing my life and enjoying it for what it is. I don't want to have a more aspirational life or necessarily have it look more aesthetically pleasing. What I wanted was more about mindfulness, about seeing the good in what I already have, maybe with some guidance and thought exercises about appreciating things. While there are hints of that in here, this book- which has an individual entry for each day of the year- didn't give me what I was looking for. So many of the days' tasks involved buying things- flowers, treats, seasonal decor. It felt very capitalistic, and I didn't find much value in that advice. In addition, many of the entries felt like simply platitudes. I got the strong impression that this is the kind of book some higher up in an MLM would mass purchase and provide to their downline, because it feels very "girlboss-y"

Overall, I felt like this book was kind of a waste of my time, with few insightful or unique ideas, and I didn't find much value in reading it.

I do think this was a sweet read, but I wish so much of the author's version of romanticizing your life didn't emphasize buying more stuff to make you happy. It felt less like actual self care, and more like tiktok self care- buy buy buy, I love the concept of slow living, and I hoped this book would align with my interests in living that style of life, getting off my phone, and finding joy in everyday tasks, without the pressure to make everything look instagram perfect.

This book did skate on these ideas sometimes but I feel disappointed by the overly materialistic tone of the book me. Additionally, a lot of the bits seemed cliché and like it's trying to capitalize on the trend of 'romanticize your life' 'be the main character of your life' etc etc very surface level stuff

It's a swing and a miss for me

Thanks to Harper Celebrate and Net Galley for this ARC! I was really excited when I saw this book as a Net Galley offering. I am in desperate need of injecting some romance and whimsy into my life. The format of the is set up with daily prompts, questions, and ideas. It reminds me more of those daily wisdom calendars than an actual handbook. Best consumed day by day to really take in and apply the advice, especially if you’re like me and journal daily. The advice given has a good variety, although some were more like journal prompts. Nothing wrong with that, but I was expecting more of a functional guide. I ended up purchasing a physical copy so I can use it in tandem with my daily journal. Would definitely recommend to those who have or would like to implement those types of daily rituals.

This book was so cute! It would make a great gift for a new mom, college grad, or someone looking to level up their life a bit!

It can totally be read cover to cover, or if you follow it day by day you can incorporate the daily suggested ideas to romanticize your life!

I chose to read it cover to cover to get a feel for what to expect and get excited about what I wanted to incorporate into my life, but I think following it for a year would be really great. There’s truly something for everyone. Some of my favorite ideas:

* A reminder of all of the people who have started on a new path late in life and that it’s never too late to start something you’re passionate about

* Establishing a consistent wake up time and sticking to it

* Doing a closet clean out in March to make sure your items all correspond with how you want to portray yourself

* Something as simple as adding a new bauble to your key ring - new lucky charm!?

* Creating a no-phone zone in your bedroom

* Doing an annual eval on visualizing your highest self and showing up for that person

* Revamping your evening routine

* Taking yourself out for a leisurely breakfast

* Questions on what you would do with a million dollars

* Refreshing your bedding

* Doing a thank you to first responders

The art was super cute, and the entire book had Bridgerton-vibes that I loved! It’s a great reminder to slow things down and appreciate the smaller, sweeter moments of your life! I enjoyed that there were some big tasks and ideas and also just some mindfulness quotes and definitions to get inspired by.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Celebrate for an advanced copy of this book!

In the age of over-consumption, hyper-hustles, & over-stimulation, Romanticize Your Life: 365 Simple Ways to Embrace the Beauty of Every Day by Harper Celebrate is such a lovely collection that shows the reader easy ways that we can slow down & “touch grass” to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, & our values. While it’s set up in a “task-a-day” structure, you could easily bounce around to try things out in a way that speaks to you. There is a huge variety of categories as well, including quotes, journaling prompts, projects, tasks, recipes, & so much more, & many of them are organized by season. I made note of so many of these & have already incorporated them into my life, bringing more of those small joys into an overly chaotic life. And much like my favorite category, you can “take what you need and carry it with you for the day.

Thank you to Harper Celebrate & NetGalley for providing a digital advanced copy for review. All thoughts & opinions expressed are my own.

When I heard about the book "Romanticize Your Life" I was absolutely intrigued!
As a hopeful romantic I love all kinds of romance! No matter if it's books or movies or my life. (Yeah, as a long time single I'm still waiting for THE ONE but that's another story. LOL)

Sometimes life is really funny with all kinds of strange battles you've to deal with. It's not always that easy to see the good things in it... but other times it's wonderful to live the life you have.
But everyone knows these ups and downs right?!

"Romanticize Your Life" is a really cute book full of advices and tasks and interesting history facts from different themes for the whole year. Every day you can find something new that inspires you, makes you think or just leaves you happy.

This one would be a great gift for a very good friend you want to support.

Thanks a lot to Harper Celebrate for this ARC via NetGalley.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I would say this book is more about mindfulness or reframing than it is about romanticizing. It's a mix of here's something you should do today and here's something to think about instead of just about internal work or growth. But it's a cute concept book. There's a prompt for every day of the year and you go through one day at a time and do something based on the prompt. They're fairly short (some of the pages have two prompts) and they are questions about yourself, tips on making vision boards, a recipe, etc. The book recommends things like upcycling clothes and going for walks and while there's no real bad advice in this book I think you'd be hard pressed to find every day applicable and helpful without some specific skills.

It's a fun concept and definitely has some good ideas, but isn't quite what I was expecting.

This book just wasn't for me.
First because it's a seasonal book, meaning it's divided in months/ seasons and some exercises were for example to do during winter and I live in a tropical area so me making snow angels is pretty impossible 😅
Secondly, this felt like homework, and as much as I wanted to romanticize my life, I also wanted to do it with minimal effort 😅
Still, this is kinda fun, and I feel like we all should be doing some of the things that appear in this book more. Maybe life would feel less stressful for everyone.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review

I had high hopes for this book and it was incredibly disappointing. It is basically like one of those daily calendars you tear a page off every day, there is nothing substantial or original about it. It is very consumerist. Half of the tips were so basic and lukewarm, and the other half were actively harmful. Do not put essential oils in the dryer. Do not support the police. Do not "find your spirit animal." It wouldn't surprise me if this book was written a decade ago.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Okay I finished it
This was an ARC but the book is available now, it is like a guide to find your inner truth and find the beauty in life. If you’re a hot girl doing hot girl stuff this book is for you. I read it fast so I could know which activities I would like to do or which ones are comfortable for life surroundings, but I think I'm going to do these exercises in the mornings. But in general I love it.

I absolutely adored this 365-day guide to romanticize your life. It has quotes, ideas, activities, recipes, and inspiration to brighten and enlighten each day of the year. It puts positive spins on mundane tasks, as well as encouraging self-care. It even encourages you to pick a theme song for each season. I learned, through the book, that I am a "Clinophile, a lover of reclining, lounging, or lying in bed." There is a day dedicated to it.

This would make a great gift or stocking stuffer for anyone who already loves to or needs to see the beauty and joy in everyday living. I can think of a few women who might find this under the tree this year.

While these suggestions start on January 1, you can pick this up whenever, and flip to whatever one most appeals.

We should do the little things to bring about more happiness. Many of these called for spending money and I'm not a giant fan of life in a society that has referred to its citizens as consumers and had hoped for more thoughtful suggestions as well as mindfulness.

(((If Harper Celebrate put out a book on romanticizing one's life in a mindful way that encourages gratitude and being open to observing beauty and in things that don't add to junk consumerism, etc., I would definitely be interested.)))

While I love the illustrations and the concept of Romanticize Your Life, I ultimately found that the content was not to my preferences.
