Social issues?

Volume seven focuses on the new inhabitants of Chise’s Forest. They establish governments, make new salable items, and have little bits of infighting sometimes.

However, Chise’s wanderlust returns, and the end of the volume has her going off on another adventure with Teto. Furthermore, Chise at this point in the story is 90 years old or so. Many of her old friends are beginning to die. It makes for a melancholic scene. I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review and see you next time.

While the massive monster surge has been dealt with, there are many things that need to be done to clean up including trying to get things organized so that Chise can continue her travels over the world. This volume focusses mostly on the Witch of Creation’s Forest and its people, an entertaining, light-hearted, slice-of-life story much like previous volumes. In other words, exactly what I expected and what I wanted.
