I'm giving this book a 9 rating. It's 3 books in one. Navy Woman, Navy Baby and Navy Husband. The first two are reissues from late 1980's and 90's. The last is a new book. I had already read Navy Brides awhile back. Which was 3 other books in one.

I love me some men (and women) in uniform. The only thing I didn’t like was the constant worrying with each other like it’s not that deep if you love each other, date each other there was just too much added stress like one chapter would have been fine

I usually read through Debbie Macomber books easily, but struggled a little with the two stories under this title. I needed something light this time around, but found it made me a little bored. That's rare.

Two more stories based on the US Navy. Both related by friendship and each have their own story. The first is "Navy Brat" is about a woman who was raised as a daughter of a Navy sailor child or as aka brat. She has enough of the many duty stations that anyone attached to the Navy have to go through just to be with the active duty parent. So when she falls for another sailor she is adamant that she will not get involved, she wants stability and no more travels. What happens when they clash in love and thoughts? Will they ever get on the same page? Will she convince him to change? Or will he convince her that it is not as bad as she remembers as a child?
The next was "Navy Husband" where both are active duty and he is her direct commander. This can cause many problems with their careers. If they pursue their feelings dire consequences have happened in the past. What happens when they fall in love? Will they try to buck the system? Or will they just not do anything but want?

While I gave this book an average rating of three stars, each story is not three stars. I really enjoy Navy Husband, but I was not a fan of Navy Woman and Navy Baby. While Navy Baby ended happy, I felt frustrated for the characters, because they were not that good at communicating their feelings for each other and as the reader you saw what they wanted to say. Navy Woman was so-so for me, but Navy Husband was the best of the three. Yes, there were moments of miscommunication, but overall I was not frustrated by the characters in this story.

I can't give this book any stars because, frankly, it was so boring I didn't even get past the second chapter. I was a little surprised because Macomber, while not a literary genius, usually has an interesting, if simple, story. But this wasn't it. Maybe in another time or place I would like this book better, but I doubt I'll ever give it another chance. There are just too many other books out there with much more appeal to me.

Debbie Macomber seemed like such a down to earth clean writing author in previous books I've read. Navy Grooms was a trilogy of romances. the last one was nice but the first two were graphically, anatomically erotic. I was so surprised that I e-mailed her website to see if that's what she had to do to get on the best seller list. If so, you won't ever find me there.

Pretty ordinary. I have the problem of having to finish what I started. Books especially. All three stories were the same, just a different setting. Easy read. You won't lose your place.
