An enjoyable enough diversion, but very much a product of its time and class (first published 1907).
It is full of upper class British patriotism of the late 19th/early 20th century for cricket, public schooling for boys, garden parties and the proper roles of men and women.
It's easy to read if that's all you're after, but there's not a surprising page in the whole book.

I loved the early part with Pip and his sister and the telephone, but once he went to school and beyond, way too much cricket and golf trivia.
