The Truth is More Devastating than Fiction In what is possibly the most comprehensive and clear-cut examination of ancient biblical prophecy and modern-day Middle East politics regarding Islam, Israel, and the nations, Judgment Day! is an eye-opening page-turner for scholars, analysts, pastors, professors, politicians, and laypeople alike. Amazing historical facts and first-hand insight make this book a thrilling, sometimes troubling, read—but one that is necessary for an accurate understanding of the prophetic times in which we live. Drawing parallels between the “land for peace” appeasement of Hitler (prior to his systematic extermination of more than 6 million Jews) and today’s strategy of the nations united against Israel is not at all difficult—but Dave Hunt goes much deeper than that. With painstaking clarity and detail, Judgment Day! reveals the ancient agenda against the Jews, and traces its twisted trail to modern-day deceptions of U.S. Presidents, foreign ambassadors, covert (and overt) military operations, businesspeople, educators, and world leaders alike. In this no-holds-barred documentary, Dave Hunt skillfully dissects the myth of Palestinian claims to “the Promised Land,” and exposes the fraud, deceit, and treachery of an international community allied against the Jewish nation. As the author writes, “In the final analysis, the battle over Israel is a battle for the souls and destiny of mankind. If Islam and the nations siding with her should accomplish their goal of destroying Israel, then mankind [from a biblical perspective] is eternally lost....” Why are the stakes so high? What will the outcome be? Discover the uncomfortable but irrefutable truth in Dave Hunt’s impassioned exposé—Judgment Day! Hear what Shimon Erem, one of the most celebrated Israeli generals of all time has to “Dave Hunt’s Judgment Day! has encyclopedic dimensions of the most crucial and vital issues of our times… ‘Life and Death’ issues, which affect us both as individuals and as a Judeo-Christian community. “In 1948, when the State of Israel was just re-established, 600,000 Israelis faced 80 million Arabs! Sixty-thousand ill-trained and ill-equipped Israeli ‘soldiers’ of a newly organized army (six months old) crushed 600,000 (a ratio of one to ten) soldiers of four Arab armies, well trained and heavily armed, reinforced by units from seven additional Arab countries, not to mention the active help of the British. “Shame and humiliation overwhelmed the whole Islamic world! “To eliminate Israel, a strategy was conceived, establishing the ‘unholy trinity’: Islamic terrorism, a hostile, anti-Semitic Europe, and a corrupt United Nations. The slogan of conquest ‘First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.’ “Europe has already been invaded by hordes of Muslims. It is all there in Dave Hunt’s Judgment Day! Who is next? USA?! “Like the biblical prophets, Dave Hunt has a vision and is not hesitant to issue a Battle Cry. Judgment Day! is a MUST READ and a call to action! “James’ statement (2:26), ‘Faith without works is dead,’ cannot be ignored! Not only will Faith be dead, but, alas, the faithful too…unless we ACT! Dave Hunt makes it utterly clear in Judgment Day! It is a powerful book!” —Shimon Erem, July 2005

I almost didn’t read this book because it was written in 2006 and I thought it would be too outdated to be helpful in understanding what’s going on today… Boy was I wrong! I now have a much better understanding of why Muslims are intent on killing all Jews, why Hamas and Hezbollah are doing what they’re doing, etc. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It’s extremely informative and will really give you clarity on world events currently going on.
+ It is historically well investigated and documented.
+ Very important discernment on Islam and its consequences.
+ Very few problematic endorsements.
CONS
- The book rather includes man-made findings and only some Bible verses in between. Most Bible verses are a reference in a reference at the end of the respective chapter, and we rarely find the actual Bible text in the book.
- While I share his position on Islam, he rather presents a socio-political G‑spel and not the true Good Message.
Quote: "Is it not time for the West to bring serious pressure to bear upon Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries for their violations of human rights professed by UN members, just as it did with the Soviet Union and continues to do with China?"
Could anyone picture IESOUS CHRISTOS uttering such words? Most certainly not, because it has very little to do with the biblical principles.
- He is good in discernment, but very taciturn when it comes to evangelism towards those people. He does teach that there is the need for them to come to CHRISTOS, but in all the book I do not remember one strategy on how to best approach Muslims and to lead them to CHRISTOS in practical ways.
There is not one word of leading them to repentance from their sin and to baptize them. Not one word. Let that sink in. What helps us all this eloquent information if the author does not even express a real hope to convert those people?
- He teaches plainly against multiculturalism, which is a sad testimony for any Christian. We can have beautiful multiculturalism if we take the Great Commission seriously. Our barriers are not between cultures, our only barrier is between the body of CHRISTOS and everyone outside of it.
- He teaches the highly problematic 'Left Behind' doctrine and specifically that IESOUS comes twice, once to secretly snatch His people away, while the rest of the world supposedly is confused where they all had gone (those are his words!), and later a second time for all to see.
Quote: "We don't know how many true Christians there are on earth. There may be more than 100 million. For even half that many individuals to suddenly vanish would terrify those left behind far beyond anything we could imagine. The fearsome questions on everyone's mind would be, "Where did they go? Who took them? Why didn't they take me? Are they coming back to get me, too?" The United Nations and governments of every nation would be meeting in emergency session. No one will believe that this event was the Rapture."
In reality, end-times-believers will experience the first half of the tribulation, as found in passages such as Rev 6:6, Rev 9:4-11, Rev 13:10, Rev 14:12 and related passages such as Gen 18:25, Exo 9:22-23, Exo 10:23, Psa 9:9, Isa 26:20, Luk 17:31-33. This is especially made clear through the secret scroll in Rev 10 including the Thunder Judgments (and obviously the Second Coming of CHRISTOS, while not revealing the details). This secret scroll is organized between the 7 Trumpets and the 7 Bowls, meaning mid-tribulation.
- He employs a popular wild-west theology, when he splits the 70 weeks in Dan 9:27 into 69 weeks + 2000 years + 1 week and then transfers this last week into our future.
- He teaches the rebuilding of the Jerusalem temple and the re-institution of animal sacrifices. This is highly problematic, because IESOUS CHRISTOS abolished as the perfect atonement all animal sacrifices.
- Although he over and over criticizes the US for their repeated betrayal of Israel, he suddenly praises at the end of the book his country as 'strategic ally' and the 'greatest nation':
Quote: "The fifth reason Israel ought to have their land is that she is a strategic ally of the United States. Whether we realize it or not, Israel is a detriment, an impediment, to certain groups hostile to democracies and hostile to what we believe in, hostile to that which makes us the greatest nation in the history of the world. They have kept them from taking complete control of the Middle East. If it were not for Israel, they would overrun the region. They are our strategic ally. It is good to know we have a friend in the Middle East on whom we can count."
If Dave Hunt would have had a look at an 'organic' world map where the US is not located west, but (formerly) connected through Bering clearly in the east, and would have pondered if the US would not eventually be included in the group attacking Israel from the East, then he would have probably come to fundamentally different conclusions. I do not want to be a pessimist, but we have to seriously consider this as an outcome, especially given all the facts presented in this book, which should make us seriously doubt that the US would be alongside Israel during Armageddon.
- Wrong claim that King David would have spoken the same Hebrew:
"The very fact that the Jews are back in their own land after twenty-five hundred years of being scattered worldwide and that they speak their original Hebrew just as King David did three thousand years ago is a remarkable fulfillment of another Bible prophecy for the last days."
Neither Moses nor David would be able to read any Hebrew word of the Bible we erroneously consider to be the original. Only the Samaritan Pentateuch is written in the original language (unvocalized; Paleo-Hebrew Alphabet), while the Jews, who came from the region of Aram, used consequently Aramaic, which was then developed into the Modern Hebrew Alphabet.
- Highly problematic endorsement of the Catholic Blaise Pascal:
"In his Pensées, Blaise Pascal made a comparison: "Moh**** established a religion by putting his enemies to death; Jesus Christ by commanding his followers to lay down their lives." As another author put it, "Jih** was ... accepted [from] the Koran as the direct word of G-d [Al***]."
- The book is not well organized and highly repetitive.
This book is well researched and presents Israel in biblical prophecies that gives the reader amazing insight into the present land dispute in the Middle East. It is well written and includes informative historical facts, the disagreements among Christians with regards to Israel and the Jewish people, the Islamic hatred towards Israel, and the Biblical understanding of why nations condemn Israel and the Jews for the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
I didn't get to finish this book due to moving to a different city and having to take the book back to the library, however the first 100 or so pages were very interesting.
