Sahira’s biggest problems should be Orin and her inability to escape the Cursed Realm, but when something starts attacking her at night, she soon has more to worry about than the cruel, dark fae.
Determined to break Sahira, Orin will do whatever it takes to win his game. He doesn’t expect the little witch to resist as much as she does, or for her to work her way under his skin.
With The Reaping and certain death coming for them, they must work together to discover what is after Sahira and escape the realm…
But can they survive without destroying each other?
Return to the Shadow Realms. A world where vampires feast, lycans love deeply, dark fae seduce, witches cast their spells, dragons rule the skies... and treachery lurks around every corner.
Due to sexual content, violence, and language, this book is recommended for readers 18+ years of age.

if the enemies to lovers isn’t like this then i don’t want it. the verbal jabs, the chemistry, the slowburn, the actual animosity that is equally matched by all the sexual tension?! i always knew i’d love Sahira and Orin together since the start of the series and their book was definitely worth the wait. a dark fae man who is a complete asshole to everyone and a half witch/vampire woman who takes none of his shit .. absolutely. it’s very clear why this is my first 5 star of the series, thank you.
Orin is an ass! It’s so obvious they’re in love!! How can he not see it?!😠 I’ll forgive him because it’s a first for him… but eventually he’ll come to his senses, right??… Well, you’ll have to read the story yourself…😏 Sahira, I liked her already, but she keeps growing on me.😊 Steamy hot sex scenes and great fight moments. Go ahead, it’s worth it!!! I can’t wait to read the next installment!!! Thank you Brenda. I had so much fun (as usual)!!!🤗
Holy crap this series is intense! I took a bit of a break from this series. I loved the first five books but I wasn't impressed with the last book with Lexi and Cole. I just felt like their last book should've had a better ending...closure...I'm not sure what word I'm looking for.
So I took about a month break so that I could give myself some time to clear my head. This author can definitely write. This book flowed and I had a hard time putting it down.
I loved Sahira in the prior books so I had no doubt I was going to love her in this one. I hate how awful the other witches are with her just because she's part vampire. Bugs me. Orin just thinks everything is a game. It's clear there is a connection between them, but Orin always finds a way to make an excuse for it.
I will say this, I wanted to CHOKE Orin at the end of this one. Seriously, he's such a jerk!! However, I also realize it's because he just doesn't know. I'm excited to read the next book, but will read something in between first because I need to prepare myself for Orin in that one, lol
Seriously though, this series is amazing and I'm not sure why more people aren't reading this one. Start at book 1 so you don't miss anything!!
This starts Orin and Sahira's story. These two are trapped in a realm with no way out.
The story behind it is pretty interesting. Intrigued to find out how they'll get out.
Orin sometimes makes me want to punch him in the face. I get how Sahira feels. I wish he was less of a jerk with Sahira. But he does care about her. I feel like he's the way he is with Sahira because he's never cared for anyone but his father and brothers. He doesn't know how to handle the things he's feeling for Sahira.
Anyway, enjoying their story nonetheless. I just hope he gets to showing more affection for Sahira in the next book.
I’m starting to get REALLY tired of authors trying to split stories in more than one book. We have come to understand, and some even like it, when authors split an overarching story over multiple books, but this splitting individual stories into more than one book is becoming RIDICULOUS, especially because you end up with a book like this one, with an inconsequential story that doesn’t add anything to the overarching story and is just a well-written story in a fantastic world. The only reason this book would sell is because we all believe it matters as part of the overall story, but it doesn’t. If you take this book out of the series, it would not make sense to anyone. It only makes sense if you have read the other books. If you skip this book and could be later just referred to as “that time when Sahira went looking for Orin and ended up in a weird place where they couldn’t get out, and then they got attacked and because both needed to feed they had sex, and then he kept acting like the ass he is and she ended up deciding to leave and see if there is a way out”. That’s it.
If Ms. Davies reads this, PLEASE stop using so many “however’s”, it is grating.
I will read the next one, just to see where this is going, but it might be my last book in the series if it fails to add to the main story. Please don’t make the same mistake Kresley Cole made with her books. What I liked the best about your other series is that there was an end to them and every book advanced the main story line.
I was actually interested in seeing what the internal monologue for Orin would be to justify his outward impression of being an ass that we have all have gotten accustomed to over the past few books. Unfortunately, it is not an outward impression, he is an ass. I feel sorry for Sahira for being saddled with such an idiot.

I seriously loved this book! I was sucked in right from the start. I love Sahira and Orin together; you can cut the sexual tension with a knife. I think it makes it more exciting when characters have that kind of a will they or won’t they kind of relationship. As much as I hate Orin’s character, he is starting to grow on me, and I am almost rooting for him to become worthy of Sahira’s love so they can have their HEA ending. I mean he does refer to her as family and he does put his life in danger for her.
With many other immortals trapped in the Realm with them, danger is all around them.
This book brings many new characters, some are amazing, like Zeth and Elsa and some are scary. But we also get a quick appearance from Lexi and Cole!
As other’s have mentioned….that ending! I need all the answers! Who is responsible for this, will Sahira and Orin get out and do it safely, and most of all, will they get past their dislike of each other and just admit that they love each other??
What a page turner. Epic series so far, don’t miss it!
Anxiously awaiting the next book in the series! Brenda K Davies really knows how to write the kind of books that keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more! Great characters, fantastically descriptive backgrounds and scenes, I can picture myself there watching the entire story unfold in front of me.
I loved this book! The writing was great and sucked me in like all the books in this series did before. I read this book in one day and it was definitely worth it.
In this book we meet many new characters and even jump back into a short scene with Cole and Lexi. At one point in the book you believe you might get an idea of the malevolent magic holding them captive, but then it turns into something else and you are left trying to figure out who or what is holding them in this world.
The romance drives from whether Sahira will play Orin's little game and give in to him or hold him off. If only he didn't have the redeeming quality of being such a loyal fae to his family and those he considered his, she could likely hold him at arms length.
The ending left me with the same question the tidbit from the last book left me with, who is behind this world and how will they get out? My brain is working through all the possibilities, but hopefully the next book will supply us with more answers and maybe even the dark fae playboy truly realizing one woman is all he'll ever need ;)

I was actually more into these three books (7,8,9) than I was for the first 6. Still written very juvenile but I enjoyed the cursed land that they were in, I enjoyed the big twists and even though it was very repetitive in the writing I enjoyed the story of the two main characters. Books 7 8 and 9 were very different from books one to six. To understand who these characters are you'd need to know what came before them but I think more or less they're good standalone trilogy. I think in all of these books so far the author is very confused as to what time period everyone is living in: they wear tunics, there's no electricity, they carry swords, but there's reference to Harry Potter, the wizard of oz and other very modern day things like tv shows, which is very confusing as a reader
Think of maze runner, The hunger Games, almost enemies to lovers, and minus spicy scenes and adult themes it would be a young adult fantasy style book trilogy.
Good to note for readers that there are trigger warnings of manipulation, suggested rape, abuse, lots of sexual references and course language.

I really enjoyed this one. I really wasn't sure what to expect coming out of Lexi and Coles' story, especially because everything in that world was kind of settling, so entering this cursed realm was exactly what the story needed.
The premise of the whole realm trapping people there is great, and I love it. I have so many questions, but so do Sahira and Orin, so I know answers are coming.
I love their relationship, I have since the first moment they were put into a room together, and as ridiculous as it might be, I'm so glad that it hasn't changed much. Orin is still obnoxiously (read: adorably, hilariously) awful. I'm also really loving getting to know Sahira as more than Lexi's aunt. The way she was portrayed in the previous books had me imagining her as some old aunt, so this has been great at getting me to reimagine her.
I'm loving this so far, and I'm really excited to see what the next one brings. I'm so curious to know who's pulling the strings behind this realm.
This was a good read. I am glad Lexi and Cole’s meeting with the mermaid King was included in this story. It was something I wanted to witness. Orin is sure hard to like. I don’t like his games. And Sahira is so strong and smart. I liked the storyline with the realm that no one could leave. I am intrigued and anticipating how they will figure out what the realm is about and how to get out of it. I like the side characters, as well. My only complaints are: the pages of inner dialogue and repetitive statements is a bit irritating and, for me, interrupts the flow. The other thing, which I don’t think I have experienced in all the books I have read by BKD, the one intimate scene was confusing. I felt like I missed some things and it didn’t flow well. Other than that, the writing was great and the story definitely keeps you interested. Looking forward to the next book.
I’m so glad Orin didn’t suddenly turn into a lovesick hero that is actually a wonderful guy we simply misjudged. Nah, this guy is exactly the prick we always knew him to be and I love it for me. It’s entertaining af.
Sahira, on the other hand, doesn’t actually have a stick up her ass pushed as far as I thought she had, which warmed me up to her. I couldn’t care less about her in the previous books, so that’s promising.
Speaking of previous books, it’s a very unusual type of series, because this is technically a book 7, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the previous books. Except you need to read them, otherwise the main characters and the plot premise won’t make any sense to you.
Not sure I like that concept, but I’m having way more fun with this book (and the main characters) that I had with the previous ones and I’m very much intrigued by the plot, so I’m not gonna complain.
Wow this book just like the rest had me reading well into the night!
This is book 7 in the shadow realms series and although we’re no longer diving into it with Cole and Lexi the action is still there Sahira and Orin. Orin believes he just needs one night with Sahira and he will do anything to make it happen but once he does will she be out of his system? Sahira will do whatever it takes to get home whether it’s reading every book in the library or exploring the barren lands she’s determined to get back to her loved ones and away from Orin but what can she do that all the other residents haven’t. She needs to also be careful of the threat that’s out to get her. I promise you will not be disappointed reading this but don’t forget to read books 1-6
I knew Orin and Sahira’s story was going to be Epic. Orin FINALLY met his match. Sahira went toe to toe with him. She didn’t care who or what he was other than an exasperating, game playing, gets under her skin jerk. Some of their banter had me laughing. Throw in some immortals, a no way out situation, enemies, life or death situations and a new realm and you have yourself a story that is nail-biting, on the edge of your seat saga. I really couldn’t wait to see how their HEA turned out but you know it’s Orin the self-absorbed, only cares about himself Dark Fae. Sheesh I just love him. And what an ending! I’m definitely not patiently waiting for the next book. Lol
I have been waiting for Orin’s book and he is infuriatingly likeable.
Orin is self assured to the point of being cocky and arrogant. On his search for supplies to help Lexi he finds himself trapped in a realm with no way out.
Sahira has used a tracking spell to locate Orin and boy has she got more than she bargained for. She dislikes him with a passion. He sees her as a game to conquer. Together they are trapped and stuck with each other and countless other immortals whom some are not pleased with a half breed of witch/Vampire. Sahira has a battle ahead in more ways than one. Such an amazing read. I completely devoured this book and can’t wait for the next.
ya like all books in this series pretty fast read, this is about the aunt and one of the brother so really didn’t even need to rememeber much about the other books.
basically aunt follows the brother and they get stuck in a new realm that they can’t get out of. the brother wants the aunt in the end they fuck: after it nothing happens and the aunt is upset. also they’re trying to get out and so the aunt decided to plan a trip to leave the town with some of her driensa and not tell the brother, but of course he knows and so he get ready to leave with them, ends with them getting ready to leave and the next book will about them going out and trying to leave the realm.
So much action packed into this book. So much Sahira and Orin also packed into this book. I was back and forth with my feelings. I like Orin but sometimes he does things that I want to hit him for. Like dude stop being a butt. We get a new set of scary monsters that will invade your dreams. With this book we see a different side of this world. Things are a little different in a good way. There is a fight. There is action. There is a element of surprise. All good things you want in this series, I am glad I read this book. I had no clue it was going to be this good.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this story. I went I to this worried because I have a bit of hatred for Sahira and a bit of love/hate for Orin but OHMYLANTA!!!! I am in such a book hangover I am having withdrawals for the next book. As far as a review, it is hard for me to say anything without giving away everything. I will tell you tho that if you don't read it you will be missing out on a true ride of your life. Kept me on the edge of my seat. And the side characters are fantastic to the story. Pick it up and enjoy!!!!
Two strong people stuck in the Cursed Shadow Realm together, both having what the other needs to survive, and both are determined not to be the one to give in. Who will win this battle of wills and desire?
Fighting not only the rising desire between them, but also the creatures determined to kill them, Sahira and Orin struggle to find a way out of this cursed realm.
Will they be successful in their quests? Only by reading Wicked Curses will you be able to discover the answer. Be prepared to feel the burn between the two while also feeling the fear living in this Wicked Cursed Realm.
Orin Has been my least favorite character in this series, mostly because he's such a giant pig. After getting to see him through Brenda's eyes,I have a new appreciation for him and his character. The cursed realm is not something I could even imagine much less a place I would want to go. Of course, that's what makes the reading of this book so very special as Brenda K. Davies has once more created a unique and unusual place with characters to match. I am completely ready for the next book right now, as I am frothing at the bit to have the whole family back together again! Brilliant as usual!
The time is here—Wicked Curses, The Shadow Realms Book 7, is now available! Download your copy via your favorite retailer and find out what happens next with Sahira and Orin!
I always look forward to release day!!!! I read this book twice already!!! I anxiously await the next one. The author always finds ways to create unique worlds and this one is definitely one of them. This book shifts and focuses on Sahira and Orin in a new place with no way of escape and we all know how much they can’t stand each other. Lol. Even though the story has characters we’ve come to love, or hate (lol), it also brings in new characters as well. I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. The book is a page turner. Bring on the next book!!!!
Lets just say it was nice getting to know Orin and Sahira a little more in this book. This whole book revolves around them and they are stuck on this outer realm. You do get two chapters of Lexi and Cole, but the rest of the book is on how Sahira is trying to find a way out. The spice does happen but not until almost 75% the way through the book. That was a little disappointing I wanted more but it was also understandable for these two characters. I can't wait for the next book, I'm excited to see what happens in this outer realm and how they might escape.
Orin has been my favorite character throughout the whole series despite being an ass 😂 he brings me laughter and was glad to see a different side of him, which made me fall for him all over again!
I really enjoyed the story and was glad that we didn’t get Orin and Sahira’s moment towards the end. I really liked the pacing of the book which gave us more about the characters and story build up. And I LOVED how things didn’t go Orin’s way at the end and bit him back in the ass. He miscalculated. Go Sahira! His reaction was everything.
Great spin off from "Shadows of Light" to lead into "Wicked Curses" featuring Orin and Sahira. There are many other immortals stuck with them in this Realm of no return. You will hold on for dear life in this wild adventure into no man's land, with danger lurking all around. Orin and Sahira will keep you guessing, what will happen next between these "almost family members." It's definitly a wild ride and I can't wait for "Sinful Curses." Brenda K Davies is amazing!!!
